- uncajoe, on 07/11/2009, -12/+162I guess the "Liberal Media" here in the USA are afraid of the freepers. It took a Canadian source to report this outrageous lack of self-moderation from Free Republic.
- yocouchdigga, on 07/11/2009, -18/+153Stay classy, conservatives.
- Farth, on 07/12/2009, -18/+136Surprise, surprise, the world is coming to the realization that American conservatives are racist xenophobes. Good.
- uncajoe, on 07/11/2009, -13/+122I guess denial ain't just a river in Egypt.....
Here's the Google cached file of those Never Happened Freeper statements.

The math is very simple LIAR + RACIST = FREEPER! - apothekari, on 07/11/2009, -8/+114Get over yourself.
I read free Republic with my own eyes, last night all these comments were there along with dozens more.
Every time someone complains about such obvious racist stupidity and vitriol in your party, one of you pipes in to kill the messenger.
Let me put it in a way you might understand.
You can't shake hands with the devil and say you're only kidding.
If you idiots refuse to excise these morons from your party, you are either racists yourselves or understood to consent to their beliefs.
If you can't see that your party is being taken over by racists then you can't see the Cross for the Fire.
Either way you will NEVER be elected to office, because there are far more of us than there are of you.
Go back to Pre-Civil War America with the other relics, where you belong. - AgeofMastery, on 07/11/2009, -8/+88That should be Stay KKKlassy
- asgardshill, on 07/12/2009, -7/+81The site owner at Free Republic is in the middle of a quarterly scamathon to euchre $80,000.00 out of his sheep, ostensibly so he can operate his early 90s-technology web site. So the more faux outrage and pitchfork/torch bearing he can generate amongst said sheep, the more hits FR gets and the more money he makes.
But racist and anti-Semitic content at Free Republic are nothing new. Matt Drudge has ***** the link to FR at various times for various racist posts there, and the anti-Semitic words of the nutbar who killed the abortion clinic doctor still proudly ring out at Free Republic.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ... - kingofinternet, on 07/12/2009, -5/+78there's lots of money to be made on hate and stupidity.
- booksnmore4you, on 07/12/2009, -8/+80What this piece is pointing out happens EVERYDAY in Freeper Land.
- inactive, on 07/12/2009, -5/+73OMG!! Not a peace sign!
- uncajoe, on 07/11/2009, -2/+50Now they've even had Google pull the cached version.

"One poster by the name of "fullchroma" wrote, "To Jim Thompson: The recent uptick here in racist vitriol, aimed at Barrack, Michelle and their children has made me wonder if I belong. My objection to Obama has nothing to do with skin tone. Is the ugly stereotype of Conservative racism true?""
I'd digg it if i didn't have to go to that site to do so.
Also: no rush on that jumpy comment box bug, digg. - kurttrail, on 07/12/2009, -5/+52Dude, what part of "trashing WND and Fox, now Free Republic" isn't free speech?
Criticism is an essential part of Free Speech. And making fun of you freepers is not only free speech, but it is easy and fun too! - Diefree, on 07/12/2009, -5/+52Yea going to call you a liar on that. If you didn't see the racism you weren't looking or like I said simply lying. We even had a link to the thread in question on Digg. So run along and just accept freerepublic is a racist site before you look more like a fool.
- AgeofMastery, on 07/12/2009, -5/+50"Canada would say this!"
I guess invading Canada is going to be part of the GOP's platform now... - martalli, on 07/12/2009, -5/+49Thank You Canada.
- AgeofMastery, on 07/12/2009, -4/+46The difference was the Bush daughters were ridiculed for their actions, (getting arrested for underage drinking among other things) and Bristol Palin...when your mother screams about abstinence only education being the only effective way to curb pregnancies and you turn up pregnant at 16 you know the comments are gonna fly. I'm not saying that some of comments said about them didn't go to far but they brought them about by their own actions.
What exactly have Obama's daughters done to bring this kind of ***** down on themselves? - Maddoktor2, on 07/12/2009, -18/+56Freepers are racist pieces of fascist *****.
- Browzer, on 07/12/2009, -5/+42According to a Daily Kos journalist, MSNBC is preparing a story about it for tomorrow.
This whole flare up is so sadly predictable. There are so many racist dumb ***** in this country it is incredible. Here is an experiment: browse the website comment section of your local newspaper. ANY story that has a picture of a black or Latino person, REGARDLESS of what it is about, will have the most stupid, idiotic comments imaginable.
I really want to know who these people are and what kind of lives they live. - MrColdheart, on 07/12/2009, -5/+42or worse yet this conservative nursery could be getting desensitized and tolerant of racism.
- charm803, on 07/12/2009, -5/+40Wow. She wore a shirt with a peace sign and it's something to bitch about? Do these people have no shame?
Keep doing it, you are on your way to losing in 2012 again, apparently, you haven't learned your lesson. - Hetman, on 07/12/2009, -7/+42So are you being intellectually dishonest or just naive?
- Hetman, on 07/12/2009, -8/+42Do you really believe letterman was talking about the 14 year old getting rapped?
- Loubee, on 07/12/2009, -11/+43Not "the same." Not even close
- rocknog, on 07/12/2009, -6/+36***** A... I pray to God you're not representative of the right wing. Your defense of outright racism is ***** repulsive. Sure, you have freedom of speech, you have the freedom to preach such filth and hate, but for *****'s sake, own up to it. If I were conservative I'd be asking for your head on a platter, because you are absolutely nothing but a ***** disgrace to the cause.
- TheSwashbuckler, on 07/12/2009, -9/+39FTA: "Though this may sound like the sort of thing one might read on an Aryan Nation or white power website, they actually appeared on what is commonly considered one of the prime online locations for U.S. Conservative grassroots political discussion and organizing"
These days, there's little difference between an Aryan Nation web site and gop.com... - woodsjransom, on 07/12/2009, -10/+39What you have is a bunch of racist bunch of fools making some dumb comments directed at KIDS. Once you become an adult it can be a free for all. I would not take stock in those comments beyond that. Comparing a willful 17 year old daughter who did not listen to her mother (making her look stupid as hell) to an 11 year old girl who's mother is or maybe not making faces (assuming the monkey noises is true) is a desperate stretch. As the lyrics in the song goes "take the sheet off ya face boy, its a brand new day" - Respect yourself
- rocknog, on 07/12/2009, -5/+34I try so hard to believe that this is not evidence of the views of typical American conservatives... After all, I respect the notion of small government, reduced government spending, etc. However, it seems by and large, conservatives are both willing and eager to confirm this grotesque misrepresentation of American conservative values.
- MeatMountain, on 07/12/2009, -7/+34Hahaha this quote from a freeper: "Is the ugly stereotype of Conservative racism true?"
LOL yeah right act surprised. And these comments were all touched off by Malia wearing a shirt with a peace sign on it. That just tells you everything you need to know about these people. - 5ean, on 07/12/2009, -0/+26Yahoo Cache: http://tinyurl.com/ll9ps9
- Maddoktor2, on 07/12/2009, -5/+29"Libs want all of us to look like racists."
No, you put that point across just fine on your own. - oMeSSiaHo, on 07/12/2009, -2/+25umm...
youtube is the bastion of stupidity - rocknog, on 07/12/2009, -3/+26I'm actually not libertarian, I'm liberal. It's just that I can understand the libertarian point of view, even though I don't necessarily always agree with it. The thing is, with libertarians, my primary objection is that I disagree on economic policy. And that may seem like a huge difference, but honestly, I don't claim to be an economist or anything, and so I admit that I could be wrong. However, my social views are based on my core, fundamental beliefs about what is right and wrong, and this is why I am at odds with conservatives but not libertarians.
And I have to admit, the more I look at it, the more I realize their social views really are all about forcing their morals and their beliefs on everyone else, and when you go from that angle, I'm starting to realize that racism can't help but be a part of that. That's just going to happen when you embrace an in-group/out-group mentality.
Funny thing is, they're always accusing us of trying to force our views on everyone else - when the truth is that our views are that everyone should have the freedom to live out their lives however they choose, so long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. That's what's so funny - they would still be entitled to their views. For instance, if gay marriage is legalized, you'd still be free to believe it's wrong, and a church that does not recognize gay marriage would still be allowed to reject same-sex couples. Eh, but I guess it ultimately doesn't work because part of their core beliefs is the necessity of making everyone else believe the same way they do. - Fogdelune, on 07/12/2009, -4/+27Weren't freepers whining about Letterman's jokes on Bristol Palin?
- lisaawesome, on 07/12/2009, -4/+25haha I always wonder why the peace sign irks some people. Dear lord who would ever want a little peace?!
- govtdoesnotwork, on 07/12/2009, -7/+28Northmass, I think Bristol got "into play" when she accepted a job at a pro-abstinence group, which some on Digg are now trying to claim is non-political. She could have gotten all sorts of jobs, and most pregnant teens don't have nearly Bristol's opportunities anyway.
- xenuxenuts, on 07/12/2009, -4/+25Well, peace is very anti GOP. (at least their style GOP)
- HappyScrappy, on 07/12/2009, -6/+27The article is verifiably correct, see link above to archived version. Go ahead and keep kidding yourself though.
- bobnoxious, on 07/12/2009, -0/+20I signed up on Freeper, and being a newb on the site I made 1 benign, well mannered comment, and it was promptly deleted without discussion or justification. I never went back.
- Dipsomaniac, on 07/12/2009, -0/+20I was banned for citing a news source.
It was from MSNBC - so even though the cite was verifiably correct, I was banned for where it came from.
THAT is the Freeper brain-trust in action. - asgardshill, on 07/12/2009, -3/+23Please note for the record that the Vancouver Sun article got the site owner of Free Republic's name wrong. Its Jim Robinson, not Jim Thompson.
When even Sean Hannity states that "everyone I knew basically left (Free Republic; ed.) because of so much childish, immature personal attacks. The propensity there to eat their own. And a lot of the people-- most of the people--I knew that were on it left.", you know your site has big problems. And 99 percent of those problems start and end with Jim Robinson - he's the plumber's snake that stirs up the ***** in this particular conservative sewer. - inactive, on 07/12/2009, -5/+24"I never actually wnated [sic] to be a pistol before but..."
Megatron is a Republicon. - apothekari, on 07/12/2009, -3/+22ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!
right over your head.
When one makes intelligence an outlawed or denigrated trait, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at the level of rational discourse. - woodsjransom, on 07/12/2009, -5/+24You show a little class first.
- Ghostalker, on 07/12/2009, -3/+21FTA - One poster by the name of "fullchroma" wrote, "To Jim Thompson: The recent uptick here in racist vitriol, aimed at Barrack, Michelle and their children has made me wonder if I belong. If this hasn't made it abundantly clear, you need lasik. This crap has been going on for years and everything someone points it out, they're labeled a liberal/socialist/democrat sympathizer who hates America. Sorta reminds me of the dark days of McCarthyism. - Farth, on 07/12/2009, -5/+23Yes, yes, I suppose you're another libertarian who's embarassed by all the Republican bigots who share your economic philosophy. You may be an exception to the general rule that conservatives deep down are afraid of the world and afraid of people who don't look like them. This is not a "grotesque" misrepresentation, it is a sad fact. Conservatives have always been about "the tribe", wrapping themselves in the flag, the first to call out hippie traitors. This is stuff is ingrained.
- Farth, on 07/12/2009, -6/+23Wow, that was a good zinger. Creative subgenius!
- MrColdheart, on 07/12/2009, -6/+23It's people like you that have killed your party. Having strong conservative values has nothing to do with hiding behind others to shield your hate and ignorance.
You sound like a real pus.
- EndAntiSemitism, on 07/12/2009, -8/+25Figures you'd make such a statement.
Ladies and gentlemen, meuse's infamous thanksgiving-day comment:
""While we're on the subject, although I'm almost never attracted to black girls in real life, there's this beautiful biracial girl with a smooth light brown complexion and a tight, hot body with an ideal waist-hip ratio who works out at my gym. When she gets on the abductor/adductor and back extension machines, I'm thinking things I know I shouldn't be thinking. Even with the knowledge that black women are 23 times more likely to have AIDS and they have an IQ on average 15 points lower than whites, if this girl made a pass at me I'd take her by the hand to the family changing room and have unprotected sex with her. If I fathered quadroon children with her, I'd be fine with that.""

Please, just, just go back to stormfront or FR. Your views are not those welcomed by any person of intelligence. - Semprini, on 07/12/2009, -6/+22I used to be a Freeper, but in the last few years, the site has devolved into a pit of racism and hate. Add in the fact that anyone who dared to support Guiliani or now Romney would be banned, or that someone actually understood evolution and supported it over the infantile dogma of creationism, and FR can kiss my ass.
The real rape is that Jim Robinson is a master thief. 80K to run an outdated, buggy and frequently lagging site? Freepers are being robbed of their donations, but if you dare to mention anything about the disconnect, you get banned. Too bad, it once was a decent site, where all Republicans and Democrats could have lively debate, but not anymore. The christian Talibornagain took over, and Jim Robinson got greedy.
The site is dying, fundraisers go on forever, and now that anyone with any intellect is banned, the 'tards that are left are just attacking each other. Fine with me, let the site die. -
