Freedom of Speech against US Governmnt may soon be terrorism
govtrack.us — HR 1955 - The definition of violent radicalization uses vague language to define this term of promoting any belief system that the government considers to be an extremist agenda. Since the bill doesn't specifically define what an extremist belief system is, it is entirely up to the interpretation of the government.

- yellowcakewalk, on 05/03/2008, -4/+9HR 1955 passed in October 2007 by a margin of 404-6. Only Kucinich and a few other brave souls stood up against what we call the "Ideological Profiling Act" or the "Thought Crimes Act of 1984". The Senate verions is S.1959. Keep an eye on it, your congresscritters voted almost unanimously for the house version while you were distracted by the california wildfires. Jane Harman sponsored HR 1955, the fascist AIPAC bitch.
- forever12, on 05/03/2008, -2/+4Thanks for the update. Watch out for the omnibus pass through. The initial uproar has quieted enough that it would be a good time for them to pass this.
