- inactive, on 05/13/2008, -84/+597I miss the days when Paul had more stories on digg than Obama.
- vendico, on 05/13/2008, -41/+517McCain is already a disaster for the GOP. Ron Paul is their savior.
- 69fezz96, on 05/13/2008, -70/+488Couldn't be any more revolting than the supposed choices we have for president. All leading candidates brought to you by the bought and sold media. When your testicles drop America, then we can once again be "The land of the free and home of the brave".
- inactive, on 05/13/2008, -66/+315Dr. Paul is our best chance to defeat the NWO/globalists!
- sratiug, on 05/13/2008, -36/+256Ron Paul 2008!!!
- Ghoztt, on 05/13/2008, -29/+222I'm still voting for Ron Paul. The media can put as many half-assed candidates in from of me that they want. They're all BIG GOVERNMENT but they spend they're money ever so slightly differently.
I want the Federal Reserve, the IRS abolished and THE CONSTITUTION AND THE FREE MARKET RESTORED!! - Nodaki, on 05/13/2008, -16/+185There is no planned 'revolt'. I will be there unfortunately not as a national delegate but as a guest. What is left of the conservative wing of the Republican party will be heard. We will not go quietly and we intend to shame the GOP for selecting someone that does not hold the values of at least 50% of the Republican party.
Our intention is to show the nation that the conservative wing is quite alive and very angry. Nothing more and nothing less. - Hetman, on 05/13/2008, -17/+168I'm back to supporting Ron Paul. Because even though I was going to vote for Obama. Because I figured if I voted for Ron Paul he would not get elected "I understand he still will not get elected." However I hate that I get chastised and called a hilly-billy/redneck every time I bring up that Obama voted to support the war in Iraq, Voted to continue the patriot act. Consistently votes against the second amendment. I voted for Obama in the primaries I feel that was a mistake now. O well nothing I can do about it now. Crazed Obama supporters are way worst than crazed Ron Paul supporters at least the RP supporters have facts backing up there candidate.
- MCBAIKO, on 05/13/2008, -29/+172My advice to Obama supporters: Stop kidding yourself. Obama will sell out just like the rest of them to feed his power and ego. If you look closely at the legislation he has already supported, including his own "Global Tax" you'd see that Obama has NO INTENTION on cutting back on military waste or war. How do you think he'd enforce such a Global Tax? The same way the bully took your lunch money at school! By flaunting his power and strength. America has become perceived around the world as that big bully. This "Global Tax" has been presented as a way to "end poverty and hunger around the world". Well the world knows that American "aid" comes with a heavy price tag, to receive it you have to play by the rules that America puts before you and become her puppet. (it's like selling your soul to the Devil. Why do you think that Berma won't accept our help now, when it is obvious that they need it?) Obama won't change that, and "Rome" will fall. To regain respect in the world community we need to lead by example, not force! I'm afraid that you will find that Obama may be good at giving speeches, but they have no real SUBSTANCE! He has NO CLUE how to actually FIX the mess we have gotten ourselves into over the past 50 years. This country is in a turmoil and we can ill afford such an inexperienced driver at the wheel. I know that you people don't want to hear it but the ONLY candidate running who KNOWS THE TRUTH, and is willing to TELL us that truth, who has the REAL SOLUTIONS to our dire economic situation and our standing in the world, who has the RESPECT for ALL American Citizens and will work to RESTORE the freedoms that have been taken from us by the corruption of late is RON PAUL! Read his new book. Just read it. If it doesn't make sense to you then keep believing that Obama, (or Santa Claus for that matter) is going to sprinkle some magic fairy dust and make everything okay again. The bottom line is: If you don't have the TOOLS you can't do the job. Obama is working with a Fisher Price tool belt. Time to call in a PROFESSIONAL. That professional is RON PAUL!
- EvansHall, on 05/13/2008, -6/+114Correction: Ron Paul Revolt could be disaster for neoconservatives, will SAVE the GOP!
- KMye, on 05/13/2008, -3/+104"Extending an olive branch" to Paul and his supporters won't gain a thing for McCain. How many Paul supporters here think there's even a 5% chance they'll vote for McCain?
- groverblue, on 05/13/2008, -8/+101i don't think so. I've read reports that pro-Ron Paul delegates (and Huckabee delegates) are going to abstain from voting the first round, as is allowed by the convention rules. If McCain does not get the number delegates needed for the nomination on first round, then it's possible that McCain can be outed as the nom during subsequent votes, which could result in Ron Paul getting the nomination. It is possible, but it all depends on the number of delegates that don't want McCain.
- CanIGetAWitness, on 05/13/2008, -15/+98A Ron Paul bobble head that doesn't bobble, I think that's poetic since the man has his head on straight.
- JohnnyKdiggs, on 05/13/2008, -4/+85I love how the woman says that Ron Paul's supporters "are legion, by the way".
Sorry miss, you've got your internet memes mixed up. - StealthMonkey, on 05/13/2008, -10/+85I can't tell you who is going to win this November, but I can tell you who is going to lose...
you and me. - Bossy, on 05/13/2008, -17/+89I'd like to know how this "revolt" at convention story formed. I support RP and I would know everything that's going on but I've never heard of a revolt. Do you think a propaganda machine is at it?
- tillerman00, on 05/13/2008, -17/+78Until such time, we shall remained "land of the weak, home of the afraid."
- AnarchoGoth, on 05/13/2008, -17/+77I would rather have Adolf Hitler or GWB than Hillary Clinton. Obama seems like the best of what the media has selected for us. But he voted for the "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act" and I cannot vote for him, or at least not in the primary. I have never been registered Democrat, and I like being able to say that.
So for the first time in many years, I am registered Republican again, and I am voting for Ron Paul in the primary. It may not mean much, but I am sending a small message to John McCain that I think he betrayed our troops, and he is a traitor to this nation for voting for the current Iraq "war." Either he knew, or he should have known that all of the evidence presented as reasons to invade Iraq were a fraud. It has wasted almost a Trillion dollars, severely weakened our national security, killed thousands of good men and women, and maimed many more.
I don't agree with Ron Paul on everything. I do in fact have a number of problems with his proposals. But between the Iraq war, and GWB and the Republicrats almost constant attack on our freedoms and liberties, I think Ron Paul is doing our country a great service when he speaks out about these issues. He not only knows what is really going on, but he has the chutzpah to tell it like it is. - adobbs83, on 05/13/2008, -23/+80I agree. This Obama fanaticism is so sad. It's amazing how media can control peoples thoughts, people don't think for themselves anymore, they are just tricked into thinking that they are. Once the media convinced everyone Ron Paul has no chance, everyone turned to Obama who is just superficial, he really has no substance like Dr. Paul.
- juankovo, on 05/13/2008, -9/+63McCain is just the disaster-flavored icing on the cake of disaster that is the GOP.
- totorototoro, on 05/13/2008, -4/+50It isn't a "disaster", its healthy for the Party-these conventions have become such pre-scripted boring snoozefests, instead of a time for the Party to get together in one place and not just celebrate their similarities, but debate and discuss their differences.
- banderwocky, on 05/13/2008, -6/+51Awesome. Let the good times roll.
- akula89, on 05/13/2008, -6/+52the GOP already is a disaster
- Todash19, on 05/13/2008, -3/+47Democratic political consultant and commentator Bob Beckel then joined into the Fox discussion, saying of Paul, "I think he ought to get a prime time speech at the convention. This is the only guy that has a bobble doll made for him that his head doesn't move."
***** a right... - sweeneyowns, on 05/13/2008, -16/+58obama = mostly media made
rp = made by the people - richmomz, on 05/13/2008, -12/+60It's interesting how our 'democratic' election process keeps producing presidential candidates that nobody seems to have really wanted. Seriously, is John McCain the most capable American we can find to run the country? Hillary? Granted there is some excitement around Obama but otherwise I can't recall any presidential candidate actually being widely LIKED since Regan.
- inactive, on 05/13/2008, -8/+49if you think his "ideas" are really going to change the status quo, take a good look again. The media or the powers-that-be aren't afraid of Obama's policy. Nothing that Obama has said will change the status quo. He is not a threat to these elite bankers and media moguls. I will be happy to hear if you can name some of his policies that prove me otherwise.
- DiggasWAttitude, on 05/13/2008, -8/+47The conservative wing very angry about something? The nation will be stunned.
- rexblade, on 05/13/2008, -12/+51What a wonderful comment, I used to like Ron Paul but your comment just now totally changed my mind. What would we do without you? Thanks.
- 405994, on 05/13/2008, -3/+38Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why, why? Why do you do it? Why, why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting for something, for more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is, do you even know? Is it freedom, or truth, perhaps peace or could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify it's existence that is without any meaning or purpose! And all of them as artificial as the matrix itself. Although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it Mr. Anderson, you must know it by now. You can't win, it's pointless to keep fighting! Why, Mr. Anderson, why? Why do you persist?
- inactive, on 05/13/2008, -11/+44Amazingly, I agree with Ms Wang on this one.
- nosecohn, on 05/13/2008, -8/+41Really? Just curious... what's changed for you? It seems to me like the issues that have come up are pure media manipulation to generate conflict, hype and ratings. I don't see any changes in his platform, stance on the issues, or even trustworthiness. I have a lot of respect for RP, but it's hard to imagine a former Obama supporter voting for him.
- trogdor282, on 05/13/2008, -2/+35Maintaining the ecosystem of corruption is far more important to them than whoever happens to be president. Ron Paul would be a disaster for BOTH parties in that respect.
- malex, on 05/13/2008, -1/+31Ron Paul does not forgive, he does not forget.
- apophenic, on 05/13/2008, -1/+32He's easily bought by lobbyists. He's a whore.
- Izult, on 05/13/2008, -2/+32I fully intend to write him in if he's not on the ballot.
- Midoc, on 05/13/2008, -23/+53Well if you put it that way I guess I should just reveal myself for who I am. I am a member of a global operative force that has allied itself with the Council on Foreign Relations. We have produced hundreds of documents that "expose" Ron Paul to the American public. It was we who created the papers that linked him to racism and it is we who are trying so hard to keep him from being President so we can continue our control over the world. We are the National Identity Notifiers Commanding Omnipotent Majority Power Over Our Planet. Digg is just one of our many outlets for controlling the media so that only the stories we want can make it to the front page. This will be a smoother transition if you bow to our will as soon as possible.
- Stettenbauer, on 05/13/2008, -24/+49Yea there is, Obama =same old bs
- inactive, on 05/13/2008, -1/+34he is being supported by Zbigniew Brzezinski of Council on Foreign Relations. Not many people see the importance in that.
- inactive, on 05/13/2008, -9/+34Wow, are you really that ignorant?!?
- WhereAmI, on 05/13/2008, -9/+37I miss the days when Digg didn't talk about politics too often and was more about technology.
Ah, the good times.
***** all of you. - Barackalypse, on 05/13/2008, -5/+27Dugg up for truth. Obama's votes show you the real Obama, not the speeches.
- Caerbannog, on 05/13/2008, -1/+23It stopped being about winning a long time ago. Now it's about a political movement asserting itself as a force to be reckoned with.
- masamunecyrus, on 05/13/2008, -1/+22God forbid people choose a candidate instead of the common practice of accepting a candidate.
- LeeSoong, on 05/14/2008, -8/+32McCain - the question is not of the man's character - but is he the best person to lead?
Ron Paul has a LIFE TIME of solid work experience, military service, medical and political service, and a successful family.
By any standard, Dr. Ron Paul is the American Dream made Flesh.
Well educated, solid family man who has spent his life working for the people and serving his country.
Honestly, they don't make 'em like they used to.
Ron Paul was working for the USA when the Clinton's were anti-USA hippies.
While Obama was listening to minsters spout hate speech against ''White America'', Ron Paul was championing the constitution and fighting to save the U.S. Economy.
Now - the USA is looking down the cold steel barrel not of guns,
but of $ 200 / barrel oil, gasoline costing $5 to $8 a gallon.
Massive increases in food, fuel, and housing costs.
All because of the USA turning it's back on the Gold Standard,
- Real Money with Real Value.
You can't fix the economy until you fix the very real problem of flawed valueless money. Worthless paper like some failed old country republic.
Massive government 'take your money and spend it elsewhere' programs only increase the damage. Obama wants to make it worse, The United Socialists States of America.
Hillary and McCain want to spend your earning in Iran - the War Without End.
A glorious future for the American Empire, until the society collapses under the weight
of unlimited military spending. Goodbye USSR - Goodbye USA - just another chapter in the history book of failed social experiments.
VOTE Ron Paul:
- Defending the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/about - rmxz, on 05/13/2008, -1/+22If the fiscally responsible wing of the republican party - along with the states-rights wing - and along with the government-off-the-backs-of-the-people wings all come out and says "the Democrats are against almost everything we stand for, but the last 8 years proved that the neocons are worse - so we endorse the democrats this time" - I bet a lot that the republican party would find a way to distance themselves from the neocons in 2012.
- RPliberty, on 05/13/2008, -2/+21(groverblue) is right on sitting out the first round vote
- doyoulikeworms, on 05/13/2008, -7/+26It still does... because most of the Obama submissions on Digg shouldn't be considered "stories."
