Fox: Obama’s link to Ayers is ‘equivalent link to Bin Laden'

thinkprogress.org — In an effort to stop “talking about the economic crisis,” the right wing is in a frenzy over Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-IL) tenuous link to former Weatherman Bill Ayers. On Fox News’ Hannity and Colmes last night, Dick Morris argued that it was “the equivalent of having a close relationship with Osama bin Laden.”

I consider myself to be a generally non-violent and tolerant person, but I admire anyone with a rational mind who can go on this show and not end up ENRAGED at the mind-boggling intellectual dishonesty that runs rampant on that set.

The last one I got was a big long story about how Obama is the antichrist. Now, to me.. at first, I laugh at these things because they are so crazy. But then I actually started thinking about these things instead of just deleting them....

    People actually believe this *****. They really believe the smears and all of the propaganda. That to me is really scary... How could we have so many people that fall for this ***** hook, line and sinker? It's like a hive mind of crazy, ignorant, stupid people. It really depresses and worries me that there are so many out there who buy this *****. There are a lot more than any of us would like to believe.

    I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot of these tired smear tactics that died out a couple of months ago come back alive now that McCain is losing in the polls. But everyone is aware of that by now.
