- j.carcinogen, on 10/10/2007, -20/+156What was really annoying was how Hannity AND Colmes both tried to say the 'Paulites' were mass redialing and voting more than once. You can not vote twice proof:
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/PIC_FOX_LIES_You_can_t_vote_twice_in_their_poll - bratpack8, on 10/10/2007, -15/+99Fox is so pathetic, it's beyond pathetic. Does anyone watch them anymore? Anyone notice their website doesn't have the results of their own poll? And it is impossible to vote more than once from the same phone. This cover up is hilarious.
- plizard, on 10/10/2007, -9/+74what's really annoying is how Hannity and Colmes have a job
- wolfofwar, on 10/10/2007, -7/+64Okay so I voted for Ron Paul in the fox news poll, because I watched the debates, and clearly felt he did the best. I voted once, you can't vote more then once.
Does that make me a Ron Paul Spammer? or is a ron paul spammer ANYBODY ever that has ever agreed with anything he said?
Get real, Ron paul has a movement because people like what he says, and how he says it. He does have a large community, its not just two people spamming all day.
Will this translate in the votes? who knows, time will tell. Remember, Jimmy Carter was at 1% till the last two months of the primarys. - dukeeeey, on 10/10/2007, -21/+71It's because the people that run USA (the bankers) don't want Ron Paul in power. They own and control the media.
- Calann, on 10/10/2007, -9/+54If you are expecting honesty and accuracy from Fox News, I have some ocean front property in Utah I'd like to sell you.
- AnteChronos, on 10/10/2007, -12/+51Ignoring squinky86 for a moment, I've gone over a month without digging anything before, with frequent gaps of one to two weeks. I'm just kind of picky about what I choose to digg. I've also only dugg 154 articles since November 9, 2005. And I can guarantee you that I'm not a "double account bastard". So, while you may be right about squinky86, you can't make that determination based solely on the evidence you've provided.
- hiphoc, on 10/10/2007, -5/+43Fox has declared war on truth.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -9/+44Fox can lie all they want, but to true lovers of liberty, for those who love their fellow-man in America, Iraq or Iran, Ron Paul is and will always be the winner because he defends and promotes principles that ring true to the heart of every citizen, everywhere.
- gn0stik, on 10/10/2007, -5/+38I posted a thread on Hannity.com about this to give them a heads up about their mistake. This is what happened:
You have been banned for the following reason:
Contempt of Host / Paulette TROLL
Date the ban will be lifted: Never
Big surprise, also Sean was talking about how their polls were spam proof before it started. So yeah, they planned it. It won't happen again though, they will change his number next time so they don't have to lie on air, you can bet. - sikosmurf, on 10/10/2007, -4/+34That's exactly what squinky86's other account WOULD say!
/sarcasm - brown2hm, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32I think these result should be fairly obvious when you consider a few things
1.) The overwhelming majority of Ron Paul supporters are relatively young people.
2.) The overwhelming majority of people that use text messaging are relatively young people.
3.) Most Republicans are old (relatively speaking again).
So the group most likely to participate in this poll are obviously the young Ron Paul supporters. How can they expect the results of this poll not to be skewed? - BESTenemy, on 10/10/2007, -13/+40If you can't prove that Ron Paul supporters are the only poll participants that can call in multiple times, then you don't have a case.
- b3tamike, on 10/10/2007, -5/+30It is interesting to note though, that Fox's voting system does not allow double voting... which is what Hannity claimed they did.
- reeder, on 10/10/2007, -31/+52Nice Squinky86, or should we call you by another name. Check this guy's account:
http://www.digg.com/users/squinky86/news/dugg
Last Digg was 15 days ago! Before that 29 days. All of the sudden, you just had to sign in and attack Ron Paul!! NO ONE on DIgg can prevent themselves from digging for 15 days straight. Not only that, but the pattern repeats itself over and over, with repeated blanks of 15-20 days.
The real proof lies in the fact you've Dugg on 42 articles SINCE NOVEMBER 23, 2005.
Double account bastard. - WakeUpToFreedom, on 10/10/2007, -9/+30Only if its Ron Paul
- grunk, on 10/10/2007, -19/+40"Fox News Lies..."
Isn't that redundant?
LEGALIZE THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.
VOTE RON PAUL. - simplynix, on 10/10/2007, -5/+24Yeah, you got me. I went out and got 10 new cell phone accounts just so I could spam this poll.
Genius. - flave, on 10/10/2007, -7/+25They already did that in 2004...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+22I'm am EXCITED to see the results of the first real primaries. If RP can pull a win or finish top 3, he might have a chance.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19Actually the only people who don't want Paul in the White House are those who stand to lose their ***** milk from the government teat.
- Hetman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17I agree 100%. I think that is a more logical way of looking at it than saying Paulbots are running around spamming the poll results.
- Swift2, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18First, these polls are worthless. But why do so many sites, and broadcasters, use them? Answer: as a marketing gimmick. If you go somewhere to click your mouse, or phone in to a number to vote, or text a website, you're hooked into the viewing audience.
But I think that Paul clearly won the debate, such as it was, by being a person of sense and courage, and not a dumb old political whore like the rest of them. And I'm not a libertarian. - TubaTechno, on 10/10/2007, -7/+22in reeder's mind, gaps in your digging history HAS to mean that you have a double account. IT HAS TO!! THERE IS NO OTHER REASON!!
Welcome to Digg.com. Where logic is strangely absent. - wolfofwar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Incorrect, Ron Paul has a movement because he speaks his mind, and has actual opinions. Politicians, on both sides, left or right, just talk like puppets for the same big corporate and defense contract investors.
Politician 1 (either side): "I think we should do this!"
Politician 2: "I agree with everything he just said!"
Theres no real views on either side, just rhetoric. Ron Paul comes in, and he isn't afraid to speak his mind on the subjects, has real opinions and views on the climate of our country, and a battle plan for how to try to actually get things done. He's a REAL politician, the first real one thats been around for the last 30 years.
Thats why he has a movement, because he's a small speck of hope for the american people that, yes, infact, real politicians do exist. - insanebrain, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16-"Fox News LIES..."
true - jakebarnett, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17My girlfriend tried to vote twice for Ron Paul because she is a fanatic, but it wouldn't let her because it tracks phone numbers. If people think that Ron Paul's campaigners are spamming the text poll, they must have a large bank of cell phones to do it with.
- edrift101, on 10/10/2007, -6/+20Damn straight.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15You're always speaking ***** Herk. You bury Paul stories because they're about Paul. You've admitted it too many times. You game the ***** out of digg then bitch about others who may be doing it.
- twobitsprite, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16No offense, but maybe if you stepped off of your iGeneration-centric way of thinking you might realize that some people might only have a few things which they feel are worth using digg for. I found digg.com while looking for stuff about Ron Paul, not the other way around. You're thinking is based on some strange notion that the world uses digg for all their news and thus everyone who uses it must, by your logic, use it for everything. I generally only digg sites about certain things I'm interested in, and right now my primary concern, beyond keeping my job and paying my bills, is to ensure that my long disenfranchised voice is heard somewhere, and I feel I can do that best by supporting a candidate with whom I agree the most. That happens to be Ron Paul.
This does not make me a "spammer" and it most definitely does not make my opinion irrelevant. - brotherfigure, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15So not picking the "correct" answer in a rigged poll is spamming? This bodes ill for the real election next year. Seems like South Park is right, we really do only get to choose between a douche and a turd sandwich.
- jimmyjay, on 10/10/2007, -24/+37Spam ??? I don't think so!
The people want their own country back. It's just that simple and The Honorable Dr. Paul is delivering the message that the people have been wanting to hear. But it's better than just the message, the Dr. is the real deal, his voting record has been long established, what you see is what you get!
Rock on Ron, rock on! - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+17If Paul does not get the nomination just think of all those supporters of his going after YOUR favorite candidate with a vengeance. Are you sure you want to be on the defense all the time? Once the primaries are behind us Paul supporters will still be around. Either fighting for Paul to win the White House or fighting against the two candidates who won the primary. Will you be crying about all the "ronbots" attacking your beloved anti-freedom candidate to the point he/she looks like the ***** tyrant they really are?
- polyGone, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Yeah, except for that whole binding part....
- neodorian, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Why does everyone have to be republican or democratic (or as you say, "liberal", whatever that means)?
Maybe the republican party is a joke so people are interested in forming new affiliations and parties. Maybe people who used to vote democratic are annoyed with the choices of the democratic party so they focus on the progressive aspect since that is what matters to them. People can form whatever affiliations and parties they want. Nobody needs simple minded ***** like you telling them that they have to move in lock step with the 2 major parties. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Jees, even in my basic poli sci class we learned that polls are BS because questions can be asked different ways to get different results and even a sampling of 1000 people is not going to lead to an accurate account of 50 million people. Where do you go to school, Berkley?
- DrSpud, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Only a sith deals in absolutes. ;)
And it's hard to be against the constitution. Though apparently the authors of the Patriot Act were. - HowieHardcore, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Something I'm realizing about the debates thus far is that the top tier candidates (Mrs. Guliani, Willard and John "Where's my Thorazine?" McCain) are all being asked personal questions. We are getting glimpses of who they are as human beings. Because Ron Paul doesn't get to speak as much as they do and when he is finally asked a question it's about some lunatic fantasy they dreamed up that they think he said, RP is not given the opportunity to show the nation who he is as a human being, which is unfortunate because we make our decisions about who will be President as much on if we like the person as what their policies are. Ron Paul is good people. He's smart, articulate, well read and I think given the opportunity Americans would come to appreciate him for his good human qualities as well as his Freedom loving beliefs.
- cranium, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Great some jackass who doesn't support Ron Paul wants to speak for those of us who do. Idiot.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -10/+20Got any proof?
Well besides your unbiased opinion? - EggplantWizard, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12It's not irrational, it's generally rational decision making based on false premises. The issue isn't stupidity, but a lack of critical thinking skills on the part of the majority of the US population -- Much more troubling in some respects.
- Firehed, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11You're absolutely insane. I read the articles and comment on them, but I don't digg anything anymore.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Random sampling taken only from demographics to reach a predetermined outcome is NOT scientific. Period. These "scientific" polls are not scientific any more than to say that science fiction represents science fact. If your professor were to say otherwise I would demand his resignation.
- gn0stik, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13Ok, when put that way. I can definitely agree that this is a possiblity.
However SMS polls arent the only polls he's won. - allahuakbar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10He's really a Libertarian if you do some due diligence on him, which is exactly what we need with our bloated government today.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12Republicans that want to smoke pot are Libertarians...you are confused. Libertarian = Socially Liberal, Fiscally Conservative.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9He CAN, but he should be clear about it. If the Euro Weenies and the UN (***** them btw) want to be over run by Islamo-fascists then ***** them, we aren't going to be the world police anymore.
- oboredone, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I bet he can see the THREAT though.
- stealthc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I don't know if I'd consider following the rules "worship." The Constitution DOES say that any powers not granted to the federal government is reserved for the states and/or the people. Sounds pretty simple to me, especially since the federal government was really just designed as a commons of the states. Not a center of power in and of itself.
- wolfofwar, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11Its a good point brown, though being an optimist, I think Ron Paul has alot to offer the older people, if he can reach out to them. He's a christian, he's pro-life, he's been a doctor for many years, and is a good old texan. All thoughts are attributes old people seem to like, Look at Bush (in 2000)
Humble man, looking for small government, strong moral values, etc.
Though he really needs to work harder to reach out to them, time will tell. -
