- Insightful, on 10/03/2008, -3/+369As the article pointed out, Obama had a flag pin, McCain does not, therefore Obama > McCain.
Also, the Alaska flag is above US flag on Palin's lapel. According to the United States Flag code, "No other flag should be placed above it."

- cheesegypsy, on 10/03/2008, -7/+166I think they should start wearing flag jackets/pants so I can be certain of their patriotism. Perhaps a flag tattoo on their forehead and a hat with a flagpole. Maybe then, and only then, can we make sure they are patriots. That won't do it either. Any time there is silence, or while their opponent is talking, they should sing, or at lest hum, the national anthem. And to prove they love the military I think having a group of disabled veterans at their side would do the trick, and at least one of them should have bandages on his head.
***** silliness. - eklife, on 10/03/2008, -4/+160gosh darn it damn diddly doodle fidley, come again charlie......

- basye, on 10/03/2008, -6/+90Steve Doocy represents everything which is so wrong with Fox News.
He's not professional enough to even give a weather report. - inactive, on 10/03/2008, -4/+68Steve Doocy betrays the American people every time he pulls this ignorant *****.
Can you find a moron LESS qualified to comment on issues than Doocy?
Remember, he's the semi-retarded idiot who first claimed that Palin had foreign policy experience because Alaska borders Russia.
He's proven himself to be a mindless GOP shill, without a thought in his head. - Reynardine, on 10/04/2008, -0/+64Comedy Central's programs are news disguised as comedy. Fox News is comedy disguised as news.
- ldkronos, on 10/04/2008, -2/+55Obama already has a disabled vet next to him at the debates

- deinem, on 10/03/2008, -4/+53Palin could piss red, white and blue urine and I still wouldn't consider her the "clear winner" in any category.
- Dinsdale77, on 10/04/2008, -0/+47My flag pin is a Maverick also!
- DonKarnage25, on 10/04/2008, -1/+40Fox & Friends.. they force feed that show to us every breakfast at military dining halls.
- greenroom628, on 10/03/2008, -4/+41neither does fox news.

- jerrym123, on 10/03/2008, -10/+41Help spread the word and cause southern rednecks heads to explode.
Why does Fox news and Palin hate America so much?
I you love America you would never place another flag (Alaska) above that of your country. - chrgrose, on 10/04/2008, -0/+29And you'd think we would have learned from Guantanamo. Torture is bad.
- Berkana, on 10/04/2008, -0/+27Her "maverick" flag pin has a wrong number of stripes on it. Probably made in China too.
- sk11, on 10/04/2008, -1/+27No, no, no: rules are only valid IF they work to the benefit of the neo-cons.
- oxdeltaxo, on 10/04/2008, -0/+25Inform homeland security. I bet she's workin with the Russians, you know the ones she has a bridge to.
- Stavrosian, on 10/04/2008, -4/+29Maybe if the wizard is feeling generous she can get a brain to go with it. Poor scarecrow.
- Dundasbro, on 10/04/2008, -0/+24Gosh darn it!
- LacY, on 10/04/2008, -0/+24Haha--when my roommate and I were watching the debates, the first thing I said was "ooh, her pin is bigger than Biden's. That's an automatic win for her." Of course, *I* was kidding...
- SirFragsMore, on 10/03/2008, -4/+27Its not the size that matters.... right?
- ErickStevenson, on 10/04/2008, -2/+24LOL maybe Biden should have draped himself with the American flag... all he would have had to do was stand there and he wins! Maybe at the same time waving 2 smaller flags everytime Sarah Palin spoke.
FoxNews = neocon version of Comedy Central minus the facts. - carve, on 10/04/2008, -1/+23Obama better not take any chances and just where an actual flag, in a frame, around his neck flava-flav style
- bitfreak, on 10/03/2008, -6/+28I would expect nothing less from the diaper stains over at FIX News. Anyone who listens to (and believes) those complete and utter morons really needs to get off the couch and read some books, get a clue.
- jwolcott, on 10/04/2008, -1/+22Steve Doocy is a Doocebag.
- V0lk, on 10/04/2008, -1/+22flag pins that are made in China,btw.
- mkamal, on 10/04/2008, -2/+23***** FOX NEWS!
- wishninja, on 10/03/2008, -4/+24well conservatives had to find something good to say didn't they?
- IrishJoe, on 10/03/2008, -4/+23Then how do they keep sinking to new lows?
- schoate09, on 10/04/2008, -0/+18Maybe it's me, but I never even notice the flag pins.
- Loonacy, on 10/04/2008, -1/+18Well in the video you can clearly see Palin's flag pin only has 7 stripes and it doesn't look like there are 50 stars, so I don't think you could consider it an official flag. Biden's pin is too small to see any details.
On the other hand, it's all about symbolism, and having the Alaskan flag above the USA flag could be considered symbolic. - shupy, on 10/03/2008, -5/+22Yeah, it's all about size for the right wing. Mine's bigger than yours.
It's the men that think size is most important that see some value in a woman that winks and flirts to make her point. In the professional world, women achieve success by being smart and working hard, not by winking and flirting. That behavior only wins points at the corner bar. - algaeturd, on 10/04/2008, -5/+22As much as I hate Fox News, you have to admit it's almost up there with Comedy Central when it comes to making us chuckle. These people are ***** idiots...and how appropriate that they wave the flag of the Republican party.
- geneusutwerk, on 10/04/2008, -1/+18No other flag should be above it ever.
"When flags of States, cities, or localities, or pennants of societies are flown on the same halyard with the flag of the United States, the latter should always be at the peak. When the flags are flown from adjacent staffs, the flag of the United States should be hoisted first and lowered last. No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States or to the right of the flag of the United States (the viewer's left). When the flag is half-masted, both flags are half-masted, with the US flag at the mid-point and the other flag below."
Of course the question is, does a flag pin really count as a flag? - shuckl4k, on 10/04/2008, -0/+17That's a ***** flag brooch! You can't compare a flag pin to a flag brooch. Have they no decency?
- anachronaut, on 10/04/2008, -0/+17Twenty-seven different flags! Stick 'em on your car! Stick 'em on your window! Stick 'em in your office! Stick 'em on your cubicle! ***** shove them up your ass! We've got special flags to shove up your ass when you're sleeping! No reason not be a patriot when you're asleep. C'mon, don't let those terrorists win! If you don't have a flag sticking out of your ass, the terrorists win!

- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -3/+19With Fox News, you never know sometimes.
- inactive, on 10/04/2008, -1/+17We can now look forward to the next debate where McCain wears a flag pin the size of a manhole cover.
- diggproof, on 10/04/2008, -1/+17Look, the maverick -- let's talk about the maverick John McCain is. And, again, I love him. He's been a maverick on some issues, but he has been no maverick on the things that matter to people's lives.
He voted four out of five times for George Bush's budget, which put us a half a trillion dollars in debt this year and over $3 trillion in debt since he's got there.
He has not been a maverick in providing health care for people. He has voted against -- he voted including another 3.6 million children in coverage of the existing health care plan, when he voted in the United States Senate.
He's not been a maverick when it comes to education. He has not supported tax cuts and significant changes for people being able to send their kids to college.
He's not been a maverick on the war. He's not been a maverick on virtually anything that genuinely affects the things that people really talk about around their kitchen table.
Can we send -- can we get Mom's MRI? Can we send Mary back to school next semester? We can't -- we can't make it. How are we going to heat the -- heat the house this winter?
He voted against even providing for what they call LIHEAP, for assistance to people, with oil prices going through the roof in the winter.
So maverick he is not on the important, critical issues that affect people at that kitchen table.
-----------
Look, past is prologue, Gwen. The issue is, how different is John McCain's policy going to be than George Bush's? I haven't heard anything yet.
I haven't heard how his policy is going to be different on Iran than George Bush's. I haven't heard how his policy is going to be different with Israel than George Bush's. I haven't heard how his policy in Afghanistan is going to be different than George Bush's. I haven't heard how his policy in Pakistan is going to be different than George Bush's.
It may be. But so far, it is the same as George Bush's. And you know where that policy has taken us.
We will make significant change so, once again, we're the most respected nation in the world. That's what we're going to do. - Narrwald, on 10/04/2008, -0/+15Dude. That was hardcore.
- digitronix, on 10/04/2008, -2/+17Reminds me of that Sinclair Lewis quote: "When Facism comes to America, it will be wearing a giant flag pin." Or it was something like that...
- kevcool, on 10/04/2008, -1/+15We should just mandate that american flags are worn in a band on the upper right arm. Oh wait ... which was the last regime to worry about mandating such signs of nationalism?
