- AARTARTHUR, on 10/10/2007, -21/+171Disgustingly blatant ! People need to wake up if the lame stream media is damn scared of Ron Paul we should all be lined up to vote for him. For all you fence riders out there that do not think the media is controlled you need to wake up. The only non bidable candidate is Ron Paul. If you don't know what bidable is look it up. I like bidable hunting dogs not politicians. In other words they mind their CFR masters and are bidable to their commands
WTHU America. - dyslexicsUNTIED, on 10/10/2007, -8/+129fox news is sinking to a new low. they are using wordpress errors to cover up all the information!!
- freecon, on 10/10/2007, -4/+69They left Tancredo off too!
- lesty420, on 10/10/2007, -2/+66CNN and MSNBC also did this when the results first came out. I'm not sure if they continued to censor it
- Jmuduke, on 10/10/2007, -21/+81In a free country, EVERY candidate matters. If you still buy any of the ***** FOX is shoveling, you deserve to be sent to the FEMA camps for your ignorance. How much more blatant can the censorship of Ron Paul be? Honestly, wake up you ignorant sheep.
- brunner, on 10/10/2007, -6/+53I watched this segment, and he wasn't even mentioned in the audio. How can you argue that he wasn't being censored when there are screenshots that prove it? If this isn't censorship, what is?
- TonightTonight, on 10/10/2007, -15/+62Ron Paul is not some deity; he is simply a Republican in Libertarian wrappings. He is Pro-Life, and he wants to extend freedom to the people but by extension would also give freedom to companies. That would mean allowing the telecoms to wreak havoc on how we access the Internet. That said, Ron Paul is the most honest of the Republican presidential candidates, and like Kucinich and Gravel, is not afraid to go against PR ***** of his party.
- InetRoadkill, on 10/10/2007, -1/+43Goddam liberal media... oh wait...
- CanIGetAWitness, on 10/10/2007, -7/+47I guess there is no chance for fox viewers adding those up to 74.9% since God is expected to make the storm pass.
- MasterThief117, on 10/10/2007, -9/+47The only reason why I am anti-Fox is because they don't just stretch the truth to make neocons look good. They downright lie.
- spyd3rweb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+33thats certainly a positive outlook.
- MasterThief117, on 10/10/2007, -14/+42And you are a dumb *****.
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -9/+37*GASP* Now even Wordpress is censoring Ron Paul!!! Honestly, who cares people shouldn't be voting based on TV results from a poll.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+29Then why are they censoring it??
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -4/+28I don't know how people can look at that picture, and keep telling us that we're out of our minds? Every single person, doesn't matter who side you are on, should be OUTRAGED at that picture! They cut out Ron Paul and Tancredo PURPOSELY! They have done this wayyy too many times to claim this as an accident!
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18I don't like being lied to, but I guess you enjoy Fox News screwing you. That makes YOU gay.
- ScottoGato, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19I thought neo-cons strictly stuck to the word "fag". Hmmm, progress.
- ZMann, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16A large percentage of the voting population cares what they think, which means we should too.
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Yep, the country voting 'We're ***** Either Way' in '08.
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -6/+19I can't believe you expect people to take you seriously when you throw in that FEMA camp *****. If you are going to carry on like a conspiracy nut about one thing, why should anyone believe anything else you say?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/014647.html
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Surely not every Fox News viewer... What about those educated, rational thinkers who watch it to keep the rest of us informed of their evil-doings?
Actually, come to think of it, if I had cable, I'd be watching Fox News, just to keep up on what the other side is up to. - p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14@ ryan
He got 9% of the votes. This article got 200 diggs. I think it's safe to say, people give a ***** about him. And that doesn't matter anyway. Censorship is Censorship. - panicofficer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Fox isn't the only one who did this. I had to do a lot of searching to find the actual results.
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Eh...IMHO, corps deserve the same rights as people, but no more. The problem seems to be when the government plays favorites or inadvertently regulates markets to the point that you have regional monopolies. The free market seems to work when it comes to things such as clothing companies or ad-supported websites or man y other industries; why wouldn't it work for telecom? As you can probably tell, I'm a libertarian.
- nreynolds, on 10/10/2007, -5/+17Immediately after the results came out they mentioned 1-4, skipped 5 and 6 and mentioned the rest.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13CACHED
- knowyourrights, on 10/10/2007, -11/+23Incident reported.
- ShrimpCrackers, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11How is Ron Paul a conspiracy theorist? Ron Paul has said publicly many times that he doesn't believe 9/11 was an inside job. So a few nut jobs support Barack, Hillary, and Ron Paul, but since you don't like Ron Paul you insist that he's a nut job because he has the same nut job supporters that everyone else gets?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Fox News is propaganda.
I'll never understand how people think misinformation is entertainment.
Remember, omission is the worst form of a lie. - reaganluver, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Agreed, I'm voting for Ron Paul because Kucinich and Gravel have even farther to go than him. I've been telling people about all three.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -9/+20Fox is just a tabloid. Who cares what they think?
- gobbo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10adhominenm, it isn't about whether I like the show or not, it's about the role that the media plays in supporting or subverting democracy. Since the show is so influential, their overt propagandism affects the quality of our lives directly whether we watch them or not.
- fancypantscz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10just over 6 minutes of FOX straw poll coverage and no RON PAUL...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46GFzF7hK8E - Stochio, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Because it shows that the race is a lot more open than the MSM would have you believe.
- YumYumKittyLoaf, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13I've seen "Vote for Ron Paul" signs out in the country near my house in fields. Large, hand painted signs.
I don't think they go on digg. - reaganluver, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Someone who can't visit the raving conspiracy theorists at faux news on a regular basis and would like to get his message out to all who will listen. Before you stop claiming fox aren't conspiracy theorists think about the whole saddam behind 9/11 b.s. they kept shoving down our throats.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+14Of course not. Anyone watching Fox News is sub-educated and incapable of any rational or independent thought.
- rhysmd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10um, it's about censorship, read the title?
- mzito, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Sigh...man, if this is the kind of people who are supporting Ron Paul, I don't want anything to do with them. Let's start with the basics - it's Rupert Murdoch. A quick google search for "Rupert Murdock" even corrects it for you. Get the name right. Second, Rupert Murdoch is not buying the Dow Jones stock market for several reasons. One, there's no such thing. Two, he's buying the Dow Jones corporation, which includes things like the wall street journal, etc. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, what I presume you're referring to with the stock market comment, is a publicly disclosed moving average of 30 stocks. It's completely transparent, there's no secret agenda. In fact, look on Wikipedia - the formula is right there. You can check it yourself, if you want.
If you want to argue about the growing consolidation of media power by a small number of people, fine. But don't spew inaccuracies without doing a little research first. - bonesaw, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11You are right. I hope none of you are being faked out by the anti-Fox crap on digg. It's happening everywhere. It's as bad on MSNBC as on Fox. I don't watch much CNN, so I don't know. DO NOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN ON STATIONS THAT ARE NOT FOX!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Looks like the American people have something they should be pissed about.
Just because a 'news' network doesn't like a particular candidate doesn't mean they have the right to misrepresent things like this. - scatfly, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11ummm, dont think many people are "ignorant sheep"
know your audience bitch! - davidhildreth, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12It's pretty simple, 1 2 and 3 were the leaders in the straw poll, and the others are the real front runners who didn't even participate in the poll.
Not to mention, why was someone watching Fox News in the first place? - thecoolestguy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Giuiliani's campaign actually did some campaigning, more than Ron Paul's in fact, and setup a tent at the straw poll. They got a measly 1.3 %. Ron Paul's campaign spent THREE whole days in Iowa, and they got 9% of the vote. This is in a farm subsidy, pro-war State where he was polling 0%. He did extremely well. The candidates who beat him spent a month or more campaigning there, and spent ALOT more money (Romney spent $2 million and he only managed to triple Ron Paul's 9%).
- DaBiggstA, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7How can you say that they are not censoring him? Look at the poll. Do you see his name, I do. He is listed at #5. I want to use college football for an example. When they show a poll of the top teams in the nation, lets say the top ten. Are they gonna take out #4, and 5, and show 11, and 12. No they are gonna show the TOP ten, because if they didn't, you damn well know that people are gonna call their asses out on it. Come on man, use your brain on this, and stop being ignorant. They are leaving him out because his money doesn't go to them for "influence" on what he wants us to hear. The media is crooked.
- igyigyigy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Nope, but in that case there's also no reason to hear who came 6th, 7th or 8th.
Either give an overview of the result, or list the whole result, don't pick and choose parts. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8But hes conservative in a good way, not the spend spend spend conservatives that have run the conservative group for the last few years.
- mrkmrk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Uhm. Wasn't he the one who suggest we bomb mosques to stop terrorists from attacking us? And was *serious* about it?
- NickMilne, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7The people who watch the network, likely; you know, the ones who will almost overwhelmingly be voting Republican in '08 and whose potential awareness of and interest in Ron Paul is the only thing likely to get him into the White House.
