- DCMacHead, on 10/07/2008, -3/+26Obama's lack fo a decisive lead in this environment points to the fact he's got a glass jaw that's being shattered by confronting him with facts. Obama ought to be up 20-30 points, yet he's slightly outside the margin of error because the media's been in his corner up to now.
Now that the truth is starting to come out, outlets that want to have a shred of credibility when this campaign is over will tone down their support for Obama and shift to more factually-based coverage--the type of coverage that will lose this election for Obama in middle-America. - keltin, on 10/07/2008, -2/+21I can only hope Obama will wilt under the glare of kleig lights, but think the lights will be turned very low and soft. It is a bit depressing, how the Media control can warp the American people's brains.
- PuterPrsn, on 10/07/2008, -2/+18If this is his "peak", he's in for a dismal ride. The Democrats predicted not only double-digit heights, but upwards of 20%. He hasn't gone out of the 'teens, even at his highest. That alone should tell them something.

I needed a good belly laugh before launching today's activities!
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+13All the truths? Stanley Kurtz would disagree. And as for being up 20-30 points: Reagan was.
- goforbroke, on 10/07/2008, -0/+11I often get to respond to the poll from Zogby. Every time I respond the poll gives McCain an advantage within a day. However, Since the last good showing for McCain, I haven't been poll again. I am sure Zogby and the other pollsters know their polling groups and chose one skew over another for their own research. For example, one of the first questions is "who did you vote for in the last election". Some focus groups may push the skew of likely voters toward those that responded for an independent rather than the two at the top of the ticket. Likewise, they can segregate their polling by state or the size of the community you live in.
In my opinion some selective sampling is being conducted and probably isn't an accurate sampling. - Temlakos, on 10/07/2008, -3/+14There! You see? McCain's timing was perfect! Let the guy take a premature peak and then hit him with everything he had. Including who *really* is to blame for all those financials going belly-up.
- dvrchatter, on 10/07/2008, -0/+10Now don't go bringing facts into it when the libs are trying to stick their heads in the sand.
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -2/+12If it was anyone but John McCain bearing our standard, I would swell with confidence. Obama is a dismal, fatally flawed candidate. John McCain is a dismal, fatally flawed conservative, but he's what was forced down our throats by the skewed primaries thanks to the Republican party good ol' boy machine, so I'll vote for him.
Go Sarah Palin. - VoteGOP, on 10/07/2008, -5/+12Peaking? That fool doesn't have anything to peak with. He's all talk, no action, no credentials, a joke of a candidate.
- isamuelson, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1I like the line where with this crash on Wall Street, he no longer has the cash to fund his programs. He talked about it last night and the first thing that came to my mind was, "Where are you going to get the money for this?"
His only recourse: raise taxes.
The only problem with what Dick Morris stated in this article: the article came out October 7th, 1:32 am. As of last night, Dick Morris said that McCain blew it during the debate.
Hopefully, McCain turns up the pressure on Obama and quits treating him like a colleague. - wopbobaloobop, on 10/07/2008, -11/+1"Now that the truth is starting to come out"?
Please. It's October. All the truths are out and have been out. No candidate is ever gonna be up 20-30 points. It's a partisan 50/50 country and people are loyal to their party. I'm glad Barack's lead hasn't been too big too early, because you have to HOLD a big lead, and if you don't you get a downward momentum. - wopbobaloobop, on 10/07/2008, -18/+1He hasn't peaked yet, he doesn't even have a double digit lead. If he did, I'd say yes. He's doing it just right, as he has all along.
