- sockpuppets, on 11/25/2007, -13/+134If Ron Paul is in fight club he'll finally get my vote.
- Lixie, on 11/25/2007, -5/+97Well then they wouldn't be very SECRET societies then would they?
- VIrus9, on 11/25/2007, -16/+106Skull and Bones isn't exactly the freakin' Illuminati. Frankly, I'd be more concerned with who's a member of the Council for Foreign Relations.
- vault, on 11/25/2007, -5/+71Directly asking someone what 'secret' societies they're in, that's genius. Ask them for their credit card number while you're at it.
- ettin, on 11/25/2007, -6/+61I wonder how many of the republican candidates are in the super adventure club.
- rhylan, on 11/25/2007, -2/+34Please someone - I'm not American but I would LOVE to see the nominees asked this question. Who knows? Maybe with enough pressure they might actually have to give an answer...
- NathanHaleFTW, on 11/25/2007, -3/+32Fight Club is chicken ***** to what Ron Paul is in.
I hear Ron Paul attends the Mortal Kombat competition annually and fights in it, while delivering 10 babies at the same time.
Ron Paul 2008. - inactive, on 11/25/2007, -10/+36It's a frat house.
- EruditeGoof, on 11/25/2007, -3/+29First and second rules.
- georgemason01, on 11/25/2007, -14/+34Skull and Bones is as much part of the NWO as the CFR is. Skull and Bones is like the elementary school of the Illuminati progression scale, while CFR is like high school or early college.
- ZenMojo, on 11/25/2007, -3/+23Exactly. You can't prove the Illuminati, so why talk so much ***** about it? What's more important is realizing a lot of very rich, powerful people exist in a secret organization that favors legacies and have historically padded the rosters of the premiere intelligence gathering organization of the United States which was in turn historically proven to be involved in the usurpation of sovereign governments abroad.
See how much nicer "facts" sound than "conjecture?" - p51d007, on 11/25/2007, -5/+24Who cares.........BOTH parties are corrupt. If they have been in office for more than 2 terms, lobbyist have already sunk their
hooks into them. I know of several politicians who got out, just because of the lobbyist. If you don't go along with them, they will
come up with something to smear you out of office. - jgtg32a, on 11/25/2007, -0/+16There are consequences for when a candidate lies? Since when?
- ZenMojo, on 11/25/2007, -0/+16They're not babies. They're Babalities.
- inactive, on 11/25/2007, -1/+16hilarious picture of skull and bones with bush senior in it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Skull_and_Cross ...
- inactive, on 11/25/2007, -2/+17Buried. The blog says before Kerry's nomination, not the election.
- acidbass, on 11/25/2007, -7/+22Wow, lots of people freaking out, cracking lame jokes on a serious topic and being defensive as usual on here.
Why trivialize what *skull & bones*-type societies these people belong to?
Why do you argue for remaining ignorant of presidential candidates?
Why would you NOT want to know anything and everything about all the candidates before you vote for them? - Comatose51, on 11/25/2007, -0/+14Membership in Yale secret societies were never that secret. At least for the Skull and Bones, their graduating members let people know on graduation day if they're a member.
- nblsavage, on 11/25/2007, -6/+20While we're at it...ask about the Stonecutters as well. Seems to be as relevant.
- brad3378, on 11/25/2007, -4/+17Are you crazy? Don't you know what happened to the last guy who tried this?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=FJXzohdF-MA - NeverReturnKid, on 11/25/2007, -4/+17I don't know about anyone else, but I don't want a President that calls them self a Christian, yet belongs to a secret society such as the Skull and Bones, where they partake in rituals of pagan origin.
- inactive, on 11/25/2007, -1/+13You forgot the sarcasm tag. Anywho, secret organizations don't have websites.
- gak001, on 11/25/2007, -1/+11That's just what they want you to think!!! Clearly that entire article was faked and the whole hoax is a hoax thought up by both the Illuminati and the Roman Catholic Church who are, in actuality, working together. You see, they want to create skepticism as a smoke screen, preventing serious investigation into their practices. I mean, it's so obvious you have to be some kind of l@mzor n00b not to see it. Sheeple. Lolz. O RLY. WTF. Ron Paul. Dugg.
- RollFizzlebeef, on 11/25/2007, -1/+11"no one knew until after Kerry won the nomination"
Not even close to being true. It was quite well known if you were paying attention.
As far as the Republicans go, the Federalist Society is a nasty little right-wing breeding ground.
I believe membership was a requisite for even being considered for Gonzo's justice department. - trenchcoat, on 11/25/2007, -10/+20So what part of the NWO was Skull and Bones? Was that the one with Hollywood Hogan or Kevin Nash?
- brad3378, on 11/25/2007, -1/+11Some people (myself included) like transparency in government. If a politician has an allegiance to an outside organization or conflict of interest, it would be nice to know.
- catalysis, on 11/25/2007, -5/+14I thought christianity was of pagan origin
- Leomarth, on 11/25/2007, -8/+17I'll cut my argument short.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxil_hoax
All the issues about the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the Illuminati, Freemasonry taking over the word...etc... is a product of a hoax. But people love having secret knowledge about things that the general public doesn't buy. It makes them feel special. - polymyxin, on 11/25/2007, -0/+9Only if you assume that all members of the group are merely puppets for the organization's master plan for world domination, the contents of which we can only begin to imagine.
Either that or it's a bunch of rich white kids getting trashed and talking about sex. - polymyxin, on 11/25/2007, -1/+10"Skull and Bones, founded in 1832, is the oldest of eight secret clubs at Yale. The powerful society's alumni reportedly include top politicians, lobbyists and business leaders.
President Bush joined the club as a Yale senior in 1947. Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and David Boren, D-Okla., are also members. Additionally, the group's board of directors, the Russell Trust Association, is believed to be Connecticut's second-largest property owner." --UPI wire story, 9/5/91
In fact, let's take it back another decade... "[Senator David] Boren, three years ahead of Kerry in school, said he later wrote a letter of support when Kerry was invited to join Yale's Skull and Bones Society, the oldest and most prestigious secret society on campus." --Washington Post, 2/21/85
Story buried as inaccurate. - ZenMojo, on 11/25/2007, -3/+11I think Secret Societies are extremely important and it's stupid that people want to ignore it because they compare it to every other "frat." Sorry, but that's EXACTLY why I want to know what Society you belong to. Frats are complicated social entities stretching back over generations and I have seen firsthand the kind of favoritism and protection they engender.
It's not so much that Skull and Bones is a super-secret society that may be involved in the Illuminati (whatever, who gives a *****?). It's that it's a society of wealthy, privileged, powerful, and protected legacies. I want to know what yacht club you belong to, whose campaign you worked on, who you play golf with on the weekends, and who donates to your campaign because the quickest, easiest way to see where a person's loyalties lie is to see who is the first to come to their defense when the ***** hits the fan.
Skull and Bones, Freemasons, Kiwanis, the Boy Scouts, I don't care what it's called or how secretive it is, if you assimilate, donate, and affiliate, it should be known by the people who vote for you and it is fair game. - brad3378, on 11/25/2007, -2/+10Are you 12 years old? How is that funny?
- SilverBlade2k, on 11/25/2007, -3/+10Ha, no candidate would answer that.
- inactive, on 11/25/2007, -1/+8didn't the guy who got tased at the speech by john kerry ask the same thing?
- polymyxin, on 11/25/2007, -0/+6Bonus fact: A Nexis search of US newspapers and newswires for "john kerry" AND "skull and bones" from September 2, 2003 (Kerry enters race) to July 26, 2004 (opening day of the Democratic nominating convention) returns 184 results.
- polymyxin, on 11/25/2007, -0/+5No; they reported it far earlier than that.
- polymyxin, on 11/25/2007, -0/+5Homeless Jews control America! It all makes sense now!
- mrjit, on 11/25/2007, -2/+7Who do you think the president will send contracts, work, earmark money, and have bias toward when his frat-buddies from 1962 are running Oil, Engineering, blackops, and whatever other industry you can think of at the same time of his presidency?
- NeoCortex, on 11/25/2007, -2/+7I'll vote for whatever one admits to being in the Breakfast Club.
In fact, I think I'll go ahead and nominate Judd Nelson for president right now, based on that alone. - vault, on 11/25/2007, -1/+6jugger, all candidates lie about something no matter what party they're from. That's just the way it is, to think otherwise is being way too optimistic. Even getting caught lying about being a secret society, the candidate could just say "That actually isn't a secret society...it's just a fraternity like many Americans are in during college." Or something to that effect.
- Elranzer, on 11/26/2007, -1/+5On that note, frat boys should be banned for running for office.
- Leomarth, on 11/25/2007, -6/+10All I want to know is their political philosophy, and their voting record. That's really all I need to know. I don't care about intimate details of their personal lives.
- Leomarth, on 11/25/2007, -0/+4It's a Simpsons reference where the Simpsons mocked the Freemasons. Check youtube for "Stonecutters" if you want an awesome laugh!
- jugger74, on 11/25/2007, -6/+10You are missing the point the candidate would have to be honest about their affiliations because as much as these "secret" societies try to remain anonymous their membership rosters are always being leaked. So the candidate would have to choose whether to tell the truth now or possibly face the consequences at a less opportune time such as days before the primary.
- jgtg32a, on 11/25/2007, -1/+5Free Masons?
- jon30041, on 11/25/2007, -0/+4So... all females in the MK are instantly pregnant when he walks in, and he delivers them... thus making them mothers, after which they don't want a violent world for their children to grow up in?
- NightVortez, on 11/25/2007, -0/+4I'm not saying listen to what they said, their political history would tell much more about them, Giuliani's political history would tell you he is dishonest, no need to look at his wives for the answer.
- Elranzer, on 11/26/2007, -1/+5"Super Adventure Club" is just an alternative name for the GOP
- acidbass, on 11/25/2007, -5/+9Ok, so you dont care if your presidential candidate chooses to fly to thailand to bang teenage boy prostitutes (where its legal) but
as long as your candidate shares your 'political philosophy' and you like his voting record, thats cool with you. Ok.
Did you know elected officials are in charge of more than voting on issues?
Sometimes they are in charge of committees or even worse, appoint committees and they get to spend your money on things. That might count a little too, Oh and of course if that candidate's 'political philosophy' says that he is socially conservative yet spends his money on strip bars and throws parties with strippers and hookers, hey, thats cool too, b/c thats his private personal business.
Heres a great example of what youre talking about and how its wrong to me:
Republicans are known for being socially conservative, that means they don't like things getting too sexual or freaky in the public domain especially when it breaks the law,
But if we look at this list of republican sex scandals,
http://www.dkosopedia.com/wiki/Republican_Sex_Scan ...
youll find quite a few do one thing and say another, i call this the height of hypocrisy.
Its staggering to see how many people who say their poltiical philosophy is socially conservative, yet do so many non-socially conservative things like sex with children.
This is why a public official's private life to the extend of what he or she likes to do in their spare time does matter and should matter to voters who want to live in a better society. -
