    Now, morally, I think the majority of us would agree that hitting on teens at his age is creepy in the extreme. But pedophilia is a stretch. Sexual predator might be the operative word in this case.

I sought them out, they did not seek me out ( I was hornier than hell, and I liked men ). So what did that make them? If Foley did what he did, and they did not want his advances, then he was a pervert. But a pedophile? The only thing I think he was really guilty of, was covering the whole thing up.

Hitting on interns who work in the same halls as you is a recipe for drama that is wholly unnecessary and more importantly it leads to all kinds of questions as to whether there was a quid pro quo exchange.

    If he was a responsible adult he would have lived his personal life and then kept his professional life seperate. He would have made the decision to restrain himself when on the job and then go live out his fantasies someplace else. No, that's asking too much. He wanted to diddle 17 year old interns, but he just never crossed THAT particular line by going all the way. Everything up to that point? Oh, he was all for it.

    Be gay.
    Go after partners that excite you(as long as it's legal).
    Just don't do it at work/with coworkers. I sure as Hell can't, a teacher can't, and neither should a legislator.

    Also, non-physical sexual abuse of children includes sexualized talk and its still sexual abuse. Period.

    Its also child abuse....(part of) the legal definintion of Child Abuse is ...an act or failure to act which causes non-accidental serious mental injury to or sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a child under the age of 18 years of age....and/or....Any recent act, failure to act or series of such acts or failures to act which creates an imminent risk of serious physical injury to OR sexual abuse OR sexual exploitation of a child under 18 years of age....and again, sexual abuse can be non-physical. Under 18 is under 18. Period.

    Who cares if the term "pedophile" is "technically correct" or not in this instance! It's wrong, wrong, wrong. Another case of repressed right wingers hiding behind their "family values."
