- selmer, on 08/22/2008, -1/+18Brain regions regarding memory and recollection don't get better with age, they get worse. That means if we make him president, by around the midpoint of his first term he probably won't know who or where the ***** he is...
- inactive, on 08/22/2008, -1/+17That's because when he originally received his license - it was for driving a chariot
- inactive, on 08/22/2008, -1/+16The Caddy is only a loaner car. The turn crank on his Model T broke and they are having trouble finding replacement parts.
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 08/22/2008, -1/+15"he bought". So, it was his money, not Cindy's right? Just checkin. ;)
- MotherGinSling, on 08/22/2008, -0/+10Mr. McWho? Who needs cars when you have your own private plane to waste gas with? Where am I by the way? Where did I leave the keys...to my seven houses? Where did I leave my integrity? I'll have my servants get back to you on that. I've fallen and I can't get up, and right now I'm McLost.

As if buying *any* car for his daughter puts him in touch with the American people?
My family couldn't afford to buy me nor my sister a car when _we_ graduated. - cg4et, on 08/22/2008, -1/+11At his age, he really shouldn't be driving anyway.
- meese, on 08/22/2008, -1/+8He bought his daughter more than just a car - he bought her a $700,000 condo in Phoenix, AZ after she graduated from college.
- jeffbw, on 08/22/2008, -1/+8DAMMIT who keeps hiding my teeth. CIN-DEE!!! Wonder how the Senators are doing this year? Would somebody PLEASE show me how to dial this stupid phone! Burp! How many houses do I have again? Say, that Nixon fellow is really onto the Communists, isn't he? Waddya mean, who sold the Rambler?
- AmericanElitist, on 08/22/2008, -1/+7reminds me of my grandma asking if anyone has seen her glasses when they were on her face except with her it was cute, not terrifying
- inactive, on 08/22/2008, -4/+10I can't remember the model of my car either, but I do recall that it was very expensive (just like all of my material possessions). It also guzzles gas.
I'm just thankful that more and more people are becoming enviro-friendly (to balance out my fossil fuel consumption). Keep up the good work! - Pinasco, on 08/22/2008, -1/+6Where am I?

Could this guy be any more out of touch with normal Americans. - algaeturd, on 08/23/2008, -0/+5"I think i sent our troops over to Iran. I can't remember!"
Seriously. People are considering VOTING for this man?
I think the only thing that scares me more than him becoming president is the fact that standards have fallen so drastically for president of America. What used to be the strongest position in the world is now like some kind of joke where the first person with money (regardless of how old, crazy and out of touch he is) is being considered?
Wow. Just WOW. Talk about the mighty having fallen. - inactive, on 08/22/2008, -1/+4Someone should asked him what country he's running president for? I think he'll say the "UN".
It's scary to think someone that forgetful/senile has actually good chance of becoming our next president. - bjornski, on 08/23/2008, -0/+2Because if his "highly successful" government work is helping him get that "exorbitant amount of material possessions", then something is wrong with this picture.
These people helped him get many of them too.

What was the last NON-government job he held? - inactive, on 08/23/2008, -1/+2I'd tag Cindy after seven or eight gin-and-tonics. In my opinion McCain did alright for himself......rich, hot blonde.....probably submissive....
- kithogan, on 09/12/2008, -0/+1The Nixon guy who was president when Joe Biden first went to the US Senate? Talk about old dudes.
- kithogan, on 09/12/2008, -0/+1Ya gotta love how nasty and snarky the lib dems get when they're LOSING a race. Boy, the vulgarity really ramps up...........................
- kithogan, on 09/12/2008, -0/+1It's nobody's business how the mcCain's spend their money or how many homes they own.....it's THEIR money and being rich isn't a crime....too bad the libs are so damn jealous of anyone who's successful
- kithogan, on 09/12/2008, -0/+1Jealous? Envy? Wow, why don't you get a job? McCain didn't steal your money so shut up.
- kithogan, on 09/12/2008, -0/+1Al Gore and John Kerry have private jets too........................
- PaulMorel, on 08/22/2008, -4/+4Purple bandaids anyone? Tire gauges? Oh right, those are okay because they come from right wing exremist bigots ... sigh.
- ch1pm0nk, on 08/23/2008, -0/+0I would say that this isn't neccesarily all about his car, but its about how much of a senile idiot McCain is.
But its seemingly apparent your going to vote this retirement-home bound old shmuck into office, and with that are casting aside his obvious flaws. But thats ok. If he does win, (unless you are still behind Bush and his reign of terror and destruction) you will be regretting it after a year or two, and wishing it never happened.
So go ahead and play this off, but this is just one more example of a doddering old man, and a narrow-minded right wing bigot backing him.
Why are you on Digg? Isn't it apparant most articles abash McCain? - inactive, on 08/22/2008, -3/+1I know all the liberals are going to digg this down, but what exactly is wrong with having an exorbitant amount of material possessions, while being a highly successful government official?
- inactive, on 08/22/2008, -5/+2And the left countered with this *****.
Yep, they're both doing one hell of a service to the American people, alright. - inactive, on 08/22/2008, -7/+3Bravo ThinkProgress. This is exactly the type of hard-hitting campaign coverage we should be demanding from our press. Enough of these fluff pieces about things like the budget, the economy, foreign policy, etc.
It's time they reported the real issues facing our country and the candidates. More stories about the candidates cars, goddamn it!!
