Flashback: McCain didn’t know what kind of car he drove

thinkprogress.org — He was asked what kind of car he drove. As with Politico’s question about home ownership, he didn’t know and had to ask a nearby aide. “A Cadillac CTS,” she told him. But then the senator was quick to point out that he had bought his daughter a Prius — the perfect halo symbol for his green pretensions.

    My family couldn't afford to buy me nor my sister a car when _we_ graduated.

    I'm just thankful that more and more people are becoming enviro-friendly (to balance out my fossil fuel consumption). Keep up the good work!

    I think the only thing that scares me more than him becoming president is the fact that standards have fallen so drastically for president of America. What used to be the strongest position in the world is now like some kind of joke where the first person with money (regardless of how old, crazy and out of touch he is) is being considered?

    But its seemingly apparent your going to vote this retirement-home bound old shmuck into office, and with that are casting aside his obvious flaws. But thats ok. If he does win, (unless you are still behind Bush and his reign of terror and destruction) you will be regretting it after a year or two, and wishing it never happened.

    So go ahead and play this off, but this is just one more example of a doddering old man, and a narrow-minded right wing bigot backing him.

    It's time they reported the real issues facing our country and the candidates. More stories about the candidates cars, goddamn it!!
