- maskidat, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Sometimes it just takes a while to sift through the ashes and clear your eyes of the smoke. I'm glad someone in a position to know has come forward with more truth, even if belatedly.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14I lived in NY under Giuliani. He turned the police department into a gang of racist thugs. He sucked all the money out of all the various neighborhood and gave it to big corporations to build a Disney World Monstrosity in times square that no New Yorker would ever go near unless they absolutely had to. He turned my city into a total police state.
If Giuliani were to become president, he would revoke all guns and post soldiers on every corner in the United States. The man is an immoral psychopath - populist, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12well, it's a good article - i hope a lot of people read it....
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9After 9/11 everyone was looking for a hero and Giuliani was only chosen because he ran the city at that time.
- JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9I totally submitted this after Populist did. Sorry, Populist!
- aceg1357, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4He did a heckuva better job than that Mayor from New Orleans.
- obliviousfool, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5He didn't wear a dress. Does that count?
- Liam76, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2He made the city safer, end of story.
Say what you will about 9/11, but the work he did with crime in NYC was great. - chris9902, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3isn't this the plot to Heroes?
- Liam76, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2You don't think a calm collected leader who has obviously trained in risk comunications is no help in a time of crisis?
- JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1liam,
That's a trend that's been seen across the country though. Crime went down everywhere during the 1990s. If you can show me statistics that prove crime went down in NYC while it remained the same or rose everywhere else, then you'd have a point. - AzDraon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I don't live in New York, but didn't New York all Hate him pre-9/11? Hell, I am sure some hated him more post-9/11.
Edit: Directly Post that is. We all hate him now. - JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1azdran,
New York hates him now I think too. New Jersey likes him because we don't have to live in the city, we just visit so less crime is fine. It's not our civil rights being violated. (No, I don't like him. I think he's a huge ass.)
Down,
I don't think he's a threat. I'd love to see him nominated because all the skeletons in his closet (Bernie Kerik is going to jail) will come spilling out. He'll be a laughing stock. I don't understand why he's the "National Security Candidate" just becuase he was mayor when NYC got hit. It makes no sense. - CJWright, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1The lovely and talented @ladykofnyc not only posts comments like these and all sorts of regurgitated anti-Israel screeds but, by my count, she has spammed the digg site not only with most of all with over 150 Ron Paul articles ALL JUST WITHIN THE LAST 48 HOURS!! Check her submissions for yourself (now 5/31/07 8pm). Not to mention the truther articles.
Hey and I think there are actually interesting libertarian sites. Like http://www.theadvocates.org/index.html.
But seriously.
So dear digg reader ahm just sayin you might want to considering using the block tool. I'm not sure that will work with the submitted articles. There's many that would say it's kind of abusive to spam the rest of us on digg like that. But I'm not sayin you need to contact abuse@digg.com or anything. That's your own choice.
Ahm just saying to take her postings with a grain of salt knowing what you now know!!! - JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1ace,
Those are two very different disasters. The hurricane left flooding and long standing problems. 9/11 was a singular event with very few after effects to deal with other than looking for survivors and clean up. I'm not trying to defend what happened in New Orleans (that was a debacle on ALL levels of government) but it's not really fair to compare the two. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Target those who threaten you the most, eh? I'm glad that you guys consider Giuliani such a threat.
- redmonkey, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2I am also living in NY city and you are totally wrong.
- cortlandjim, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0he's all of that and a member of the "hair club for men",
Sorry his short, bald ass is never going to get nominated.
