Each has a last chance to exhibit their vision for the next presidency, to show voters who has the right stuff to rectify what Bush~Cheney~GOP policies have wrought. If it's about character, McCain needs to regain and demonstrate control of his campaign that night

    It's probably too late.
    He shouldnt have been so stubborn as to keep her, at the start, when she was such a dud.
    He shouldnt have picked her, w/out vetting her thoroughly.
    If I were an old geezer, I'd get a bodyguard against her, if they get elected.
    But they wont.
    McCain may have had the right-ish stuff in 2000.But not now.
    He has the Goodbye stuff, now.
  • kismetropolis, on 10/11/2008, -0/+3I am beginning to think the fat lady is warming up with her horned helmet on. Encouraging the racism, ignorance, and lies, and then trying to rein it in -- I wonder if that wasn't a killblow to a significant amount of his support.

  • holesome, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1It's too late. He made a faux attempt in MN Friday, but came right back with "whip his you know what" over the weekend. It's over, and I don't look for anything good to come from the debate.
