That's just great. - RonPauls, on 04/21/2009, -25/+132How does California manage to do this?
Jane Harman, now Dianne Feinstein?
Who is voting for these morons? - alais, on 04/21/2009, -57/+156It's ok, shes a Democrat.
- NYCnative, on 04/21/2009, -56/+146Democrats get away with it.. another scandal buried in the MSM and the general public will never know.
- RonPauls, on 04/21/2009, -25/+111Pay to play scandal... what's new...
- shnizep, on 04/21/2009, -27/+962010 folks.
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -19/+86Hey! It's another case study for why we need term limits!
- hblask, on 04/21/2009, -12/+78Don't forget Nancy Pelosi and Barbie Boxer.
- bigterguy, on 04/21/2009, -42/+98Arrest her, try her, and hang her ..... before sundown!
Wake up, California. Your public officials - including Governor Turdcreator - are destroying your state and trying to destroy the country. - gfryesc, on 04/21/2009, -37/+91i'm so glad change has finally come to washington. what *****.
- HOWDOYOUKNOW, on 04/21/2009, -20/+70
She'll wiggle out of this one somehow. She wiggled out of getting in trouble for using her defense committee chair to war bucks to her husband's business. How is this any different? - atomheartmother, on 04/21/2009, -36/+85I notice the voices on the left have become "progressively" more silent as each scandal emerges.
- 7papa7, on 04/21/2009, -47/+93Just think Pelosi is third in line for the presidency. We have a president who has come up in the corrupt Chicago politics, a VP who is a complete moron, and Pelosi who is a crook. Talk about incompetent leadership for our country. When are we going to wake up and vote these reprobates out of office. I can assure you of one thing for sure, nothing will happen to Pelosi or Harmon's pay to play, or any of the rest of the thieves we have in office. They have lied so often that much of the gullible population actually believe these clowns are upright citizens. What a bunch of losers the ignorant and uninformed have elected and the scary part is that most voters fall into this category.
- rthakidn, on 04/21/2009, -11/+56The people who were promised free healthcare, free "family leave", free day care. The free people. I don't think this is what is meant "land of the free".
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -19/+63It really is pathetic isn't it?? They'll bury this scandal and then make a big deal out of Obama trying to cut $100M out of a $3.5 trillion budget.
- pjr12345, on 04/21/2009, -46/+89Dems aren't expected or required to operate ethically.
You see, "everything's relative," "it may not be right for you, but it's right for me," "who are you to judge?", etc. - Trick07, on 04/21/2009, -17/+51This is California. Feinstein will be re-elected and 6 more mulit-billion bonds will pass for building schools in Mexico.
- schraged, on 04/21/2009, -47/+81Just another example of that Change that you all voted for in November...
- Trick07, on 04/21/2009, -49/+78Get over it. You all act as if Feinstein is a corrupt Republican.
Feinstein is Democrat, therefore anything she doesn't is appropriate, legal and beyond reproach.
Now, lets talk about what Bush probably did with Haliburton and his oil cronies! - inactive, on 04/21/2009, -22/+50There comes a time in a life that one must choose between Good and Evil...
2010: BOOT EVERY single INCUMBENT out!!! The more one reads, comprehends, and connects the dots, it is about the FUTURE of America's SOUL now, NOT Republican or Democrat.
Vote all the incumbents out....'A New Broom Sweeps CLEAN!!" - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 04/21/2009, -29/+5625 Billion Dollars? That's not change.
- serp, on 04/21/2009, -8/+35Is some conservative forum linking to this one or what?
Both of the major parties are full of corruption.
I wish each would take a look at their own for cleaning.
If one of my enemies does me wrong I get pissed.. but if one of my allies does me wrong I'm twice as pissed. - gamabunta, on 04/21/2009, -8/+32I sent her a letter about her husband's war profiteering a year or 2 ago and she replied that she couldn't speak on the matter because of privacy laws or some *****.
- AndrewMoyer, on 04/21/2009, -9/+30Everybody's throwing mud at (registered) Democrat voters any time one of the Democrats in office is found to be an evildoer.
Please stop stereotyping us. We're just as angry by most of this stuff as you are.
"Democracy is the worst form of government, except all the others tried before." - shnizep, on 04/21/2009, -19/+40Had a Republican.... Double standard MSM at it's best.
- senojkj, on 04/21/2009, -24/+45Just another Fine Swine at the trough.
- ironhide, on 04/21/2009, -2/+22Not treason. Try again.
Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court. - sigmaman2, on 04/21/2009, -20/+40Consider the source on this one...

- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -16/+33well. she belongs in jail. Won't happen, because America is run by a bunch of criminals, but it should...
I'm a democrat, too, but seriously people. Corrupt politicians are the *majority* of either party right now. Time to vote them all out. - HappyScrappy, on 04/21/2009, -5/+21Republicans get away with it too.
- Lawofnations, on 04/21/2009, -3/+19Someone found a tortoise shell in the desert in Southern California. No one knew where it came from or how it got there. Bilderburger/CFR/Trilateral Commission member Feinstein declared the area to be off limits to everyone as the tortoise was "an endangered species". Her husband owned a mining operation in China which extracted minerals that were found in only two places: China and the now protected Mohave Desert. He cornered the world market with a tortoise shell and the stroke of a pen. Slick trick.
- Chahrlie5, on 04/21/2009, -36/+52What the hell, not a single Obamabot here to circle the wagons?
Running out of excuses already? - JDoorjam, on 04/21/2009, -11/+26.... Blagojevich was a Democrat and his has been a very public, very drawn-out, very humiliating, destruction. Spitzer was a Dem and he was on front pages across the country as an example of immorality and a betrayal of our common principles. This notion that Dems get free passes is silly and very easily refuted.
The reason why legitimate news media haven't picked this story up is because there really isn't anything of substance here. Yeah, it doesn't look good, but the fact is that she submitted this legislation months after her husband's company had already won the contract in question. There's no evidence that she personally benefited from moving money to the FDIC. The housing crisis is particularly brutal in California; this is an issue of paramount importance to her constituents. - mgraham80, on 04/21/2009, -6/+20Liberals have never liked Feinstein. You Repubs can have her.
- Zarchon, on 04/21/2009, -1/+15Only forty percent of Californians are Republican. The districts are drawn up so as to make it nearly impossible to elect a Republican. For those of you who vote Democrat ALL THE TIME, look at how bad California is doing. This is what you are pushing on the rest of the country.
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -2/+16Not that I would EVER suggest that Diggers grow the hell up and take responsibility for the inevitable results of their own stupidity, but here goes anyway:
You cannot create a Country that has Greed as it's sole guiding principle, then act all shocked and amazed when you're flooded in corruption. Most of you seem to be too young/simple-minded to understand this, but there's no "Republican Molecule" or "Democrat Gene" that makes you a different/better person just because of your political affiliation. When you have a Country where EVERYONE runs their lives according to the idea that there's no such thing as Morality, and that anything is justified so long as it's profitable, then guess what? Even your Politicians are going to be greedy, self-centered bastards. And by "even your Politicians", I mean "especially your politicians".
Grow up and get over the need every 14-year-old retard has to quote Ayn Rand and call themselves a "Libertarian", and realize that you reap exactly what you sow. Act like greed-obsessed jackasses, and you'll be governed by greed-obsessed jackasses. There's no magic wand you can wave to make your Politicians behave any better than you as a nation are currently behaving. - Zarchon, on 04/21/2009, -7/+21Oh no, a Dem is getting caught for doing something wrong. Must be a conspiracy! That damn Washington Times.
Gee, my Congressional representative is crooked? I could have told you that a long time ago. Her and Boxer are two of the worst when it comes to representing. They only get re-elected because the unions are so strong in this state. Someone offer me a job outside of this state so I can move. - dancantone, on 04/21/2009, -20/+34Down with the BS two party system!
Democrats=Republicans=keep the masses chasing their tails
These days you can't climb the ladder as high as they do and not be corrupt to the core and you know it. - niradg, on 04/21/2009, -21/+35If you want people to take this story seriously, please post an article from a real news source. This story may be true, but the Washingtom Times is a joke with the lowest journalistic standards. It would have been out of business decades ago if it wasn't the propaganda outlet of a billionaire cult leader.
Also, it's worth pointing out that the submitter of this article is a well-known liar. - indyGuy, on 04/21/2009, -0/+13Want change? Never vote for the incumbent...
- DesertDad, on 04/21/2009, -2/+15Of course there are no ethics problems. This simply is intended to recoup the losses when Senator Feinstein quietly resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations Committee, where she was the chair and ranking member from 2001 through 2005. While in that capacity, her husband's firms URS and Perini earned approximately $1.6B from Committe projects. See a local article on same:
http://www.metroactive.com/feinstein/
And that apparently is just the tip of this goldmine, er goldberg, er iceberg.
Seems that the good Senator, like many of her colleagues, is a serial dipper when it comes to the public trough. Do you think maybe AG Holder will declare this no problem at all, and no investigations are warranted? - CrazyChester, on 04/21/2009, -29/+42Buried for acting like the Washington Times is a real newspaper.
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -25/+37Ficklestein is just another rich Democrat steering money to herself via a spouse. This is why term limits are a good idea. "Change we can believe in." This is what the electorate voted for in 2008.
- NoLibertarians, on 04/21/2009, -8/+19Where the hell do you get treason from what at best is a conflict of interest? You can't just run around calling everyone a traitor you don't like!
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -9/+20Oh, you haven't heard the latest... add another 5 Billion to the tally. He introduced a new initiative today.
- ironhide, on 04/21/2009, -7/+18What does Feinstein have to do with Obama? You do realize there are separate elections for the Senate and the presidency right?
Oh sorry, didn't mean to interfere with your pointless talking point. - dissolutionman, on 04/21/2009, -3/+14So you wouldn't comment on a story's source if it came out of Venezuela's state-run news?
Of course you would. The source should always be considered. -
