Spitzer was a Dem and he was on front pages across the country as an example of immorality and a betrayal of our common principles. This notion that Dems get free passes is silly and very easily refuted.

    The reason why legitimate news media haven't picked this story up is because there really isn't anything of substance here. Yeah, it doesn't look good, but the fact is that she submitted this legislation months after her husband's company had already won the contract in question. There's no evidence that she personally benefited from moving money to the FDIC. The housing crisis is particularly brutal in California; this is an issue of paramount importance to her constituents.

This story may be true, but the Washingtom Times is a joke with the lowest journalistic standards. It would have been out of business decades ago if it wasn't the propaganda outlet of a billionaire cult leader.

This simply is intended to recoup the losses when Senator Feinstein quietly resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations Committee, where she was the chair and ranking member from 2001 through 2005. While in that capacity, her husband's firms URS and Perini earned approximately $1.6B from Committe projects. See a local article on same:
