- libertyfriend, on 01/11/2008, -0/+5Less confrontational? He was under direct attack the whole night by not only the candidates but by the moderators too. What do you expect him to do? I thought he handled it with amazing poise.
- Jimmyb207, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3I agree liberty, Ron Paul handled that better than any of the other candidates would have. He had an awesome reply to a direct attack and rightfully put that fox dweeb in his place.
- hiwaymutt, on 01/12/2008, -0/+2FOX has simply lost all credibility and ranks below The Enquirer for journalistic respectability. I almost felt embarrassed for them while watching this manipulated sham of a debate. In their despicable treatment of Dr. Paul, FOX took off their mask and revealed their true face in all of it's ugliness. It didn't work though, their attacks brought out the fire in Ron Paul and he kicked their asses!
- barfooz, on 01/11/2008, -1/+2Fox was shameless in their using Paul as a punching bag, and I found it offensive and counterproductive to the purpose of the debate. However, Paul needs to work on his debate style. He comes off as shrill and chiding. If Paul is looking for more than just taking advantage of the opportunity to present libertarian viewpoints to a prime-time TV audience, he needs to present his views in a more level, less confrontational style if he wants to gain support among the mainstream audience in these debates.
