- loveandrockets, on 10/10/2007, -8/+211I remember the Mark Foley is a Democrat thing. I saw it with my own eyes. They just labelled him a Dem onscreen. I couldn't ***** believe it. And they did it 4 times.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -11/+195Wow. Just .... wow.
Even if these examples are legitimate mistakes, that only means they are incompetent. - tehbored, on 10/10/2007, -11/+137Fox News: "We will never cease to astound you with our atrocious lies."
- chicoer2001, on 10/10/2007, -12/+100If you're clueless about politics, you're a perfect match for Fox News.
- swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -4/+82Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me - but you can't get fooled again!
- crazydiode, on 10/10/2007, -4/+62Twice can be a mistake.. but with such regularity. i dont think so. "Fool me once, fool on me.. fool me twice.. er.. "
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -12/+64It's a pattern of abuse, and they need to be fined by the FCC. This is more tramautizing to the American people than the 1 half second of a nipple being flashed at a half time show!
- facelesscoward, on 10/10/2007, -6/+53Clearly, in the minds of the people behind Fox News, bad = Democrat, good = Republican. If it's ever the other way around, it's because George Soros is somehow involved.
- facelesscoward, on 10/10/2007, -4/+40Right, I'm sure they're just angry because Bill O'Reilly's lack of understanding of the difference between user comments and actual blog posts made him look like an idiot on air to anyone who actually researches what they hear on TV.
- mikey2dope, on 10/10/2007, -2/+35I work for television news, and I will tell you this, EVERYTHING is checked once when written/created, again when edited, and once more before it airs.
So when I see this on Fox News, especially when it comes to high profile politics, it's clear that it's done purposely.
As far as politics goes, at our station we CG'd Senator Charles Schumer as Sen. Chuck Schumer, and we got on that IMMEDIATELY after it aired. Those are the kinds of mistakes that happen, shortening names.
But to confuse Obama and Osama? Not likely at all.
That's Bush league (no pun intended) if you ask me. - swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -7/+40haha they labeled Arlen Specter a democrat! Hm I wonder if it was because he called for Abu Gonzales' resignation? Everybody knows only a Democrat would do that!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -9/+38Two words: Psychological Operation
Fox News is proof of American corruption. There are terrorists in the White House. What are we going to do about it? - AriaStar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25They are supposed to double-check their facts. If they got them wrong, they are responsible, but you won't hear them taking responsibility.
- foolfromhell, on 10/10/2007, -3/+23And those mistakes just so happen to be working FOR the Fox News agenda?
All 100% of them? - geekee, on 10/10/2007, -5/+23You both watch Fox News?
- CannedMango, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21Maybe if Tony Snow flashed a nipple, people would wake up from their daze (... to vomit).
I agree with you 100% though.... accident or not, news stations need to be fined, heavy and often, until they realize that they can't lie through their teeth and have to report facts. - pyr0s, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19I think its about time fines are imposed for repeat offenses. I understand that accidents happen but this is getting ridiculous.
- typographics, on 10/10/2007, -6/+21*****, I just realized I hate Fox News.
- SickMonkey, on 10/10/2007, -4/+19Makes perfect sense to me. When reality doesn't conform to your political agenda, don't worry about your agenda, just change reality.
That's why most Fox viewers actually believe that Saddam attacked us on 9-11 and that we found WMDs in Iraq. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+21Got proof of CNN labeling a Republican pedophile as a Democrat 3 weeks before an election?
Got proof of CBS labeling a Republican senator who just made headlines for questioning the legality of this administrations policies as a Democrat?
You got proof to back up your talkin' points kiddo? - otheruser, on 10/10/2007, -4/+19O'Reilly's had no problem attacking Dailykos for the views of certain users (NOT connected to the site staff), but when dozens of sites reported racist/bigoted/life-threatening remarks made by O'Reilly's users, he claimed they were made by Democrat saboteurs.
He's an absolute nut. - loki440, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17I was just about to rip into you for your dumb ass, naive comment and then I remembered that whole thing with Michael Moore and CNN. Looks like the other news networks are prone to the same "mistakes", but no where near the level of Fox News.
Wake up guy, Fox News has an agenda. You get that right? - jgrossma, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16Mistakes like this are inevitable but when every single one of them goes the same way you have to wonder. Have you ever seen Fox mislabel a scandal plagued democrat as a republican or reverse the party labels in the poll where the republican was leading?
- UncleBadTouch, on 10/10/2007, -5/+17I dugg this story despite the constant use of the word "nutwork". I mean come one, can't you come up with something a little more cleaver?
- evilregis, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13I tend to agree. My favourite is still Faux News. It Just Works.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15It was three times, but yeah they are *****.
- ccheath, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12http://digg.com/world_news/Bill_OReilly_s_web_site_threatens_life_of_Senator_Clinton
check that one out... bill-o claims that an open forum is "BS" but doesn't even moderate his own forum, and now the SS is investigating the comments made there threatening violence against a possible president hillary or obama ... one even claims that hillary/bill will get obama into a car accident in a few months to clear the way for more clinton power
when will fox just go away?
when you turn it off - killiansman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11that's because Fox viewers don't know how to use the interwebs
- HippyInASuit, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11"Never attribute to incompetence what can be explained by malice."
- moocow1452, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13took you that long?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12It was during election time and at the time I was watching the coverage of all 3 channels. I was on a blog and someone said, holy ***** they just labelled Foley as a Dem. So I flipped over and just as I did there it was.
It then came up 2 more times and then O Lielly moved onto some other ***** story. - bonmot5, on 04/08/2009, -0/+9Just like FOX news, Jack. And OH, I'm a conservative, but I Quit watching FOX news, because I REALLY like to find out what is happening here in the U.S. and in the world. And I find that I have more of a chance of GETTING THE TRUTH almost ANYWHERE else.
- jugger74, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Take another look you mental midget all those stories are just within the last year.
- strafefire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Last year, CNN had to apologize to the Iranian president for PURPOSELY misinterpreting his speech, saying that it was it his right to have nuclear weapons, when he actually said nuclear power:

They all lied. Hell, they all lied to get us to go to war with Iraq, so... - TheOther1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10@ jugger74
I think Treo has a valid point; how do other networks compare? - BristolMyLove, on 12/21/2008, -5/+13If only Rawstory.com had their own news channel... then we'd all be getting quality news.
- fleischner, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11Remember when CNN accidentally made an agreement with Saddam Hussein to withhold details of his atrocities over the years in order to protect its news sources in Iraq? Oh, wait... that was on purpose.
- MrQuoz, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12Um, they didn't call Mark Foley a Democrat. They didn't misrepresent election results. And they know who the hell is a republican and who is a democrat!
- NidStyles, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9You see technically he was declared the winner, but Fox came in and declared Bush the winner the rest was history as it was quickly swept under the rug with the courts intervening.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Know thine enemy
- netdawg, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9How do you breathe thru all that sand?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9You conservatives and your obsession with avoiding facts...
- swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -5/+12Remember when Donald Rumsfeld accidentally sold Saddam Hussein chemical weapons and then told him it was "none of our business" if he used them against Kurds? Oh wait...that was on purpose.
- miketrin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Squirm Barbarino, someone found something wrong with your only source of news. I'd squirm too. My question to you is what the hell are you doing on Digg when you can be watching FOX news.
- minorthreat, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9as much as I don't want to say this, but in all honesty, the vast majority of the digg crowd are not idiots, we are computer nerds.. which on average are more intelligent than your backwoods non sociable moron who watches fox news
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8It is hilarious that the right wing thinks Fox News has a large number of viewers. On election night 2006, a night where one could assume that "news" channels would have some of their largest numbers due to the election returns, Fox News and CNN pulled about 3.4 million viewers each. The Spongebob Squarepants movie that aired on Nickelodeon that night pulled over 7 million viewers... and it was a repeat.
Cable "news" simply doesn't draw many viewers. It never has. - dodus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8There it is!
- wageslaven, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8What is even funnier, is that O'Reilly's own blog is now under criminal investigation because of the death threats against Hillary Clinton.
- pioneerdew, on 10/10/2007, -10/+17Does no one remember when CNN mistook Obama for Osama? I mean that is an error, mistaking someone for an "R" or a "D".... come on people. 24/7 Live networks make errors... it happens to ALL of them.
- bimtott, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8"And of course now, JetBlue buys the nonsense that the Clown Prince of FOX "News," Bill "O'Really?" O'Reilly isn't "just following orders" in the FOX Nutwork smear game. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight."
My god, since when did DailyKos adopt MySpace-level blog writing? -
