Both of those have very concrete meanings. By definition, one can't be 'too liberal' and be 'anti-American' at the same time, since The United States IS its people and liberals wants to protect them. If pundits and commentators over here in the UK seriously attempted to start using terms like anti-British, they'd be derided. I'm pretty sure that would also apply to 'anti-Icelandic', 'anti-Spanish', and so on.
