- Minarchian, on 01/02/2008, -4/+43Remember folks. This is NOT just about Ron Paul. It is about a news media that is attempting to manipulate our election process!
Paul supporter or not I really doubt you support the behavior of Fox news in this manipulation.
Sell off your NWS (NewsCorp) stock and if you are REALLY ticked off take a LOSS on it! And if you are in the markets ask your clients to SELL.
These Corporations must learn that it is us, the People, who are in charge of our political process, not a bunch of rich pricks sitting in their cherry lined offices. - johndoenumber2, on 01/02/2008, -0/+16I would not want to be holding (NWS) right now just the same.
- mgilbo1, on 01/02/2008, -2/+17Sell your stock and don't buy from anyone who supports Fox News. I just changed my TV purchase from Best Buy to Circuit City due to Best Buy supporting Fox. My car (purchasing next week) has also been changed from Toyota to Chrysler due to Toyota advertising there as well. We should never support Fake News.
- SeethisPass, on 01/02/2008, -1/+9What's better than having Fox by the balls?
Having them by their stock.
Smite Fox in the snout. - sheki, on 01/02/2008, -0/+6It's not simply about being a "Paul sympathizer". It's about taking whatever stand, no matter how feeble, against a dishonest news corp. They obviously don't care about thousands of e-mails. What other recourse do people have when they ***** with elections?
- Big1984Brother, on 01/02/2008, -0/+6The stock is now down 2.78%, as of 1:15 EST.
- PongGod, on 01/02/2008, -0/+5Bringing honesty to the political process is what largely what the Ron Paul Revolution is all about.
- magoghm, on 01/02/2008, -0/+3The Australian stock market closed today with News Corp shares dropping .91%

When their sponsors start pulling ad dollars then Fox News will have learned it's lesson, maybe. Then again, maybe rupert thinks its worth it, in order to stifle the Ron Paul revolution. Good luck with that one rupert.
- Hypomanic, on 01/02/2008, -1/+2A four cent drop isn't a "beating." It just looks like normal movement in the context of the stock's moving average. To the normal investor, as in someone who invests based on business fundamentals and momentum, Ron Paul means nothing. News Corp. is a media monster with very high trading volume, a market cap above 50 billion, and high institutional investment. I'm pretty sure even if a couple thousand Paul sympathizers sold their stock it would be a drop in the bucket, lost in the wash of institutions moving their millions of shares around.
- Hypomanic, on 01/03/2008, -0/+1Everything went down today except materials/mining. A looming recession will do that. The DOW will hit 12,000 by the end of the month.
- zrated, on 01/02/2008, -1/+0hypomanic couldn't be more right. i'm a bona fide paultard, but chalking this relatively insignificant stock movement up to a boycott is silly. i've been in the business for over 5 years and to those who have experience in the markets a statement like this is embarrassingly ignorant.
- reed311, on 01/02/2008, -16/+2This article is pro-Ron Paul propaganda. Take a look at the six month trend of the NWS stock and it is well within the normal behavior of the corporation.
You guys will stop at nothing at spreading half-truths and outright lies. Let's bring some honesty to the political process.
