- roguenine2000, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17ron paul spoke the truth. anyone who has researched islamic fascism knows that Qoudb and the other extremist philosophers turned to extremism as a result of american policies in egypt. this has been going on since the 50s.
- Daemion43, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13Hardly. That was a blatantly contrived situation. Fox News knew Ron Paul's position on one of the reasons why 9/11 occurred, and of course allowed Rudy Guiliani to act like this was some shocking statement.
FoxNews is scared! - DrColossus, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11Very true. To think that they attack because they hate our freedom and wealth is just arrogant.
- grunk, on 10/11/2007, -5/+12At least Paul remains true to the conservative republican philosophy. In case Giuliani hasn't said it a thousand times, he was mayor of New York during 9/11. In fact, Giuliani profited quite nicely from 9/11.
- PBronstein, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9I was pointing out that they are using Cell phones. They don't want to have an internet vote and I was pointing out why. This debate has been a joke. How about that imaginary terrorist attack question? You scared yet? Suprised they didn't add a graphic of a mushroom cloud but I guess it was either that or the game show buzzer.
- PBronstein, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9First Giuliani lies about air quality at ground zero, now he denies the reason why they attack us. Global caliphate Rudy only a 160 or so countries to go, huh? How do ragtag groups, that have to run their organizations from exile, take over the world? Who's out to lunch on that one?
- samschoice, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10Ron Paul didn't back down. Ron Paul stood strong for liberty even in a crowd of war-monger boneheads. Guiliani tried to pull the 9/11 card in classic Fox fear news fashion, but Ron Paul stood up.
- DigitalOmnivore, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8You set an awful low bar for 'tech savy' if you think you must be 'tech savy' to send a text message.
- DigitalOmnivore, on 10/11/2007, -6/+10Really? Go read the text of Bin Laden's fatwa (decleration of Jihad) against the US
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/terrorism/international/fatwa_1996.html
He specifically says that America should be attacked because of what we did in Iraq war 1, and the bombings for years afterwords.
The facts are on Dr. Paul's side. I guess facts don't matter? - NymphoChik, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8On 9/11/2001 I thought Giuliani was an American Hero.
On 5/15/2007 I think Giuliani is a slimy coward.
Go Ron!! - Pssdoff, on 10/11/2007, -5/+8http://www.pbs.org/newshour/terrorism/international/fatwa_1996.html
Listen to the wisdom of Ron Paul for he speaks only the COLD HARD TRUTH.
You may not like to believe that American Foreign Policy contributed to 9/11, but you are deluding yourself if you believe otherwise. - big65rich, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4@Smoove
They dont care enough to send a text message or click on a poll because these polls do not even matter. Ron Paul will start getting invited to less events after tonight even if he wins the text poll. - DigitalOmnivore, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7I posted this same link above, and in another story.
I think it's important to state that 9/11 was UNJUSTFIED, but Iraq was a reason Bin Laden attacked us. Rudy is wrong.
This just in: RON PAUL IS WINNING THE TEXT POLL. - Stochio, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5You are correct. It would be nice if MSM said that. For example, this statement would be ok:
"Ron Paul won the online poll by a commanding margin. This is probably due to the technical abilities of his followers or could be a nod to the ability of sites link Digg, Fark, & Reddit to organize coordinated behavior."
See the difference? Let the information be discussed. MSM doesn't do that, however. - qednick, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Makes me laugh when people say they attacked us because of our "freedoms" and then they are willing to hand over those freedoms on a plate to the likes of Guilliani with his ID card scheme and CCTV cameras everywhere, etc.
Personally, I'll take Ron Paul over the neo-cons any day. - DigitalOmnivore, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Actually he never said 9/11 was our fault or justified. I understand that is how it will be spun by those that are pro-interventionist in their foreign policy.
He simply stated that our foreign policy is what LED to 9/11. It is simple cause and effect, and if we want to have real debate in this country about foreign policy, and we don't want another lightweight in office, we should have honest debate. Saying "TEHY HATE OUR FREEDOMZ" may poll well, but it does nothing for the country.
One can argue that the Iraq war 2 was a good idea, even if our interventionist foreign policy led to 9/11. One can say we needed a secure base of operations in the middle east, or that we had to secure oil supplies, or that Saddam was supporting suicide bombers (he was). All these are fine arguements, but to simply state that we need to fight this war because 'radical islam hates our freedoms' is Paris Hilton Politics. Airheaded, and absent minded.. - Smoove, on 10/11/2007, -5/+6Yup, Herkimer's right. The only way Dr. Paul could get the nomination is if he'd replied to Giuliani, "Sorry, I misspoke. What I meant to say was that the dune coons hate us for our freedom and our prosperity. Other than generalized hatred of our freedom, the ragheads have no definable reason for anything they do. They're animals who only understand force. That's why every last Muslim on earth should be exterminated like the camel-humping vermin they are."
At least then he'd get Herkimer's vote. - Smoove, on 10/11/2007, -5/+6Absolutely. The bummer is that integrity is a liability today, not an asset. You'll notice that the poll results after the debate will be inversely related to the honesty of the candidate.
- BrandonMills, on 10/11/2007, -5/+6You can't eliminate Income Tax single handedly. The laws of the land are made by the House and Senate.
- BrandonMills, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4Speaking of funny, gotta love it when the conservative base attacks their own crooked news source. Ron Paul doesn't even register on the polls.
Fox News? Fix the news?
Perish the thought. :) - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1He's just trying to get the liberal vote to turn into the evil snatch monster and steal all our womens.
Stop him when we still can! - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1He'd never get my vote under and circumstances so your racist, ignorant comments weren't needed. Yes, he made himself look really stupid with his comment about 9/11 but there were plenty of reasons to dislike Ron Paul before he opened his mouth last night.
- Pssdoff, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2How is sending a text message "tech savy?" Is flushing a toilet "tech savy" for you?
- Smoove, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Interesting. You seem to be saying that everyone other than the Ron Paul supporters is a drooling idiot. After all, unlike Ron Paul supporters, these morons can't figure out how to send a text message or click on a poll...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Actually, despite the spamming that the Ron Paul supporters are doing tonight he's still up by just two points. People know who won the debate and it wasn't Ron Paul.
- Stochio, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Text 36988
Text "R7" to vote for Ron Paul
(Verify yourself http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,272493,00.html)
You have until 30 minutes past midnight to vote! Hurry! - DigitalOmnivore, on 10/11/2007, -6/+4Why don't you go discuss it with Bin Laden Herk?
- roguenine2000, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3what was that? I couldn't hear you because ***** news is distracting me with their subliminal messaging.
- big65rich, on 10/11/2007, -8/+5he wins these polls because u guys are tech savy and u sway the polls
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Your candidate was the one that aligned himself with Bin Laden tonight. He pretty much said that the attacks on 9/11 were our fault and not the fault of the Islamic extremists that actually carried out the attack. He killed himself with main stream America tonight and he is done.
- big65rich, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1Digg all the comments down that are against Ron Paul. Suppress comments just because you do not agree and are fanatical. You guys are idiots and sheep; you follow each other around on supporting crazy candidates on both sides. Same thing with the HD-DVD thing, lets just potentially ruin a great site over something we are fanatical about.
-An ivy league educated member of Digg - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+3Keep spinning that point. It's not going to help him one bit but it's fun watching you people squirm.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+2Wow. So very delusional.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -12/+5And you prove why his campaign is a joke. You are telling people to vote for him as the winner of a debate BEFORE IT HAPPENED!
No wonder no one takes the polls seriously when the Ron Paul campsign serts up coodinated efforts to fix them. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -13/+5Giuliani just slapped your boy down and you must still be stinging from it. Paul made himself look like a fool tonight and he cut his own throat in the process. His campaign is done. You won't have to worry about registering as a Republican now, he'll be running as a Libertarian if the Libertarians will still have him.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -11/+2Guiliani had dozens of offers from other cities BEFORE 9/11.
Should he have turned them down because of 9/11? Obviously not.
The othe cities want him no for his post 9/11 actions. They want him to help bring their murder rate down by almost 75% like he did with NY City. And other violent crimes by almost the same amount. Other cities want to be considered safe for tourists like Guiliani helped NY become after decades of just the opposite.
Other cities want Guiliani for the fact that he basically drove organized crime out of NY City after practically a century of them having a strangehold on the city. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -14/+4He ended his own campaign tonight. Now the whole world knows him for the joke that we already knew that he was.
- misfit410, on 10/11/2007, -20/+5They just know he is a douche and a nutjob, and like most of us they want to see him go away.
He REALLY embarrassed himself tonight
