- avatar28, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23*laugh* Oh man, 'Lil Bush is gonna be PISSED. He's a decider, see. And he's done decided that he don't wanna answer that question. It reminds him of that time that he and Lil Cheney used Lil Jeb as a sled. And then mom made him tell her what he did.
- ljpost0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19Good luck with that. The administration will just claim Executive Privilege or National Security and that will be the end of that
- Ironspork, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19The real question is what happens to him when he refuses to acknowledge the order.
My vote: Impeachment. - uptown, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Aside from wanting to leave for vacation, I still don't understand why Congress passed the authorization for this surveillance to continue right before leaving for vacation. Why authorize something if you truly were against it, or had questions about its legitimacy. It makes no sense. Just seems like they wanted to leave so they signed whatever to go home. It's pathetic.
- theNazz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17Lil Bush was the dumb ass who publicly admitted to having a secret prison system so he should be forced to answer questions now.
- Somnolent, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12This just made my day.
- reed311, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9No worries, Bush already but this on his /ignore list.
- Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Using my sum of squares method to match Bush's actions to Congress's actions....my trend line says nothing. Unfortunately.
- endlessoul, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Which leads me to this question:
What is going to stick? What is it going to take to get him to pay for his crimes? - Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Hey man, just because you cheat to win doesn't mean you didn't win. Swing for the fences America. ~ lil Bush.
- Anamonde, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Executive Privilege. He will just ignore this like all the other court orders he has received. Dictator Dubya has spoken. Don't misunderestimate him
- Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5"Don't misunderestimate him"
I'm just trying to understand him
""We're trying to figure out how best to make the world a peaceful place.
There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, it's probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. It fool me. We can't get fooled again." - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5"I am the President. The Decider. And the Avoider. I don't have to show you courts nothin I don't feel like. Alberto, show them how we do it. Nyah nyah nyah all you Libiberals. And don't give me no lip or it's Gitmo for you."
i expect the response will be like that. - skyshock1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4LOL! With all the stone-walling this administration has been doing, what makes ANYONE think that they're just going to readily comply with this agency at this point in time???
As much as I'd like to see the Bushies get pwned, this is an excercise in utter futility. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Hey, didn't the bill just passed by Congress retroactively give any and all adminsitration or defense employees immunity from prosecution?
Dubya and Nancy Pelosi had this handled a week before it happened baby! - scabbers, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Dugg for alliteration.
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4you are an absolute moron.
- smackhero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2what's it going to take? well, for starters, instead of just saying "good luck with that" or calling congress useless, etc. the public ought to get behind these organizations who are actually doing something about the situation. we still live in a democracy, and it's up to the people to get off their asses to effect changes in government.
but it's become hip to be apathetic and bag on political/social activists, partly because of the media's vilification of progressive movements, but also due to the complacent public's willingness to be told by the media/government what to think.
before asking what's it going to take, ask yourself what have you tried? - avasol, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I know! It's so awesome! Now imagine Mr T in the room with him. "Who be the fool calling me a fool" then proceed to whup his ass.
- FleetAdmiral, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I digg this because they don't only use TLA's in the headline/summary without spelling them out in the summary...By the way TLA = Three Letter Acronym but the term goes for all abbreviation's now. Much bonus points from me.
- rcook18, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Go ACLU
- krnldmp, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I think that executive privilege noise is pretty well burnt out by now.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Whitehouse Response: Suck it, Commies!
- hidnnplanesight, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2politicians.. puppets of public opinion or puppet masters?
what is going to stop them from just giving up papers that just look authentic and say only what they know is legal? - Valnar300, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Good luck getting that to happen, he'll probably plead "executive privilege" and the courts will kiss his ass and ask for forgiveness
- marcomc2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yes. And how ***** up is that?
America is Germany in 1938 or something, plus 1984 - 911.
I'll do the math some other time.. - Starbuckeroo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I was shocked that this got passed. Then I remembered that our one-party, two-faced system was still following the party line. Plus I read that the usual last minute changes to the wording in some parts got the blame from some members. I am embarrassed for my elected representatives. I'll not vote for any of them again.
- DesuKN, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Congress? Doing something? Neeeeeeeeh
- anotherboredguy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Looking forward to GW's response to this!
- Vicujozobenaxod, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0Unprecedented, I'll say. This is a railroad by the ACLU. Wonder what trump cards they pulled to get this off? ***** the ACLU.
- rationalthinker, on 10/10/2007, -12/+0***** THE ACLU. Piss on'em and the leftist diggers who believe half the ***** that pussy organization prints.

What is Digg?
