- magoghm, on 01/10/2008, -4/+72Now, take a look at this:
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/New_Hampshire_To ...
7.06% for "OTHER"? That's an unbelievably high number. It is huge! And there is one town with more than 22% of the votes for "OTHER".
People went out to vote for someone who wasn’t even on the ballot? That’s rather hard to believe. Maybe, you can find a few people who did, but not in such a large numbers!
Such a large number of null votes, aren't by themselves proof of fraud, but they are a strong indication that something is wrong.
If you add up:
1. Proven missing votes for Dr. Ron Paul that were not counted
2. The surprising result of Hillary vs Obama
3. The very large number of null votes (1% is considered a big number of null votes in an election)
Then you have a strong case for opening an investigation about what really happened. It isn't yet enough to accuse anybody of fraud, but there must be an explanation for this and I am sure most people would like to know what is is. - Vigilo, on 01/10/2008, -2/+33Notice that the MSM won't even cover the internet buzz on this story. I think Obama and RP were robbed of thousands of votes. This site is taking donations fund a recount http://www.grannywarriors.com/
- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -3/+33Please go to the link below, digg it and pass it around... Ive been trying to shout it to everyone on my digg friends list, but digg isn't allowing me to shout it to anyone..... please help me get the word out... thanks...
We The People Demand That Our Votes Be Counted!
We the people do hereby support Rep Rush Holt's paper ballot bill and demand that electronic voting machines be banned in order to ensure that our votes are not tampered with as evidenced by increased news of election fraud in the news everyday.
Sincerely, We The People http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/countvotes/ - acrodev, on 01/10/2008, -2/+31Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!
- sockpuppets, on 01/10/2008, -1/+20I'm changing my last name to Null then running for president. It'll be a shoo-in!
- wattznext, on 01/10/2008, -9/+24You are foolish. I think most of digg is for leagalizing owning and using small amounts of drugs in your home or other personal space. An executive at a company that controls something as important as elections should be held to a higher standard, especially when it involves trafficking.
- GhostyBoy, on 01/10/2008, -4/+18The vote count was total fraud and DIEBOLD sucks ass, but I for one don't really care if the guy took Columbia up his left nostril before he went to work. People in every walk of life do drugs, just ***** get over it.
- perish, on 01/10/2008, -1/+12Albert Howard, would-be presidential contender from Ann Arbor, said today he has discussed a recount of the Republican vote in Tuesday’s primary in New Hampshire with the secretary of state’s office, and plans to fly to New Hampshire by the end of the day Friday to pay the required fee and start the recount.
http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20 ... - g00dETH3R, on 01/10/2008, -2/+13What’s wrong with you yanks, is this going to be the third election you let them steal?
In the last 20 years you’ve gone from one of the best countries in the world to a "Don't Tase Me, Bro!" banana republic, and no one besides a few people on digg seem to care or even notice…. so sad. - nsummy, on 01/10/2008, -5/+16You are the foolish one. Where do you think these small amounts in your home or other personal space come from? Ahhh that's right, from a bigger source! I agree these executives need to be held to a high standard but lets not get drugs confused with a crime that involves dishonesty such as embezzlement or extortion.
- Netrilix, on 01/10/2008, -0/+10I voted in NH, and I believe that the "Other" votes could have totaled 7%. Each ballot (Democrat and Republican) contained _21_ candidates. (And then 2 for Dem. VP and 1 for Rep. VP). This whole thing is misleading because it doesn't mention that there were so many candidates on the ballots. It's not 7%+ of write-ins, it's 7% combined of 15 or so people who are not mentioned in the big polls.
The result of Hillary vs. Obama doesn't surprise me at all either. While I'm in college, I'm working at a manual labor job with a lot of lower-class people. All but one of them cast their vote for her, much to my dismay.
I don't know about the Ron Paul thing, I'll have to look that up before I can comment on it. - Vigilo, on 01/10/2008, -2/+10Help fund a recount http://grannywarrior.chipin.com/recount-
- duggtodeath, on 01/10/2008, -1/+8Criminals assisting criminals.
- logiktrip, on 01/10/2008, -2/+7Felons cannot cast votes, they should not count them.
- rootryan, on 01/10/2008, -0/+5He probably has good experience being a proficient counter with a drug trafficking background. You know how picky those cartels can be with their weight...
- Norochj, on 01/10/2008, -0/+5My problem is that a man who he himself cannot legally vote (because of his felony conviction). This is the guy who should be responsible for making sure our votes are accurate?
- Aidenf77, on 01/10/2008, -0/+5So the person in the mail room is equally as important as the CEO? It comes down to responsibility and value. Who has the greater responsibility? Who is more successful and honorable at discharging that responsibility? The individual who has the skill and vision to take the helm of a company and make it even more successful (ahem *cough* Steve Jobs, to name a Digg CEO favorite) than the next, is intrinsically worth more and brings more value to that company than the expendable office clerk; thus that individual is "more important." A more important person should absolutely be held to higher standards, because they have more responsibility and are held more accountable than a person of lesser importance. These ideas are easily mirrored in the government and society outside of corporations. It's almost to obvious to state, and damned if I don't want to bring up his name for fear of diggers missing the point, but look at the importance that someone like Ron Paul has to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people. Are you prepared to claim that you are equally as important to those people as Ron Paul is? And if your statement is a philosophical one, then what philosophical fantasy world do you live in? Get real.
- gibbwake, on 01/10/2008, -2/+6Theres more to this story - theyve been caught red handed rigging the vote! Digg this story as well.
http://digg.com/politics/Diebold_Voting_Machine_Co ... - nsummy, on 01/10/2008, -17/+21I love the hypocrisy on Digg. Everyone on here is always for drug legalization except when someone affiliated with a company they do not like has a conviction. Make up your mind Digg, you can't have it both ways. No matter how much you hate Diebold you can't demonize a guy for transporting drugs 17 years ago
- mobtek, on 01/10/2008, -1/+5http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiiaBqwqkXs
around the 4 or 5 minute mark with 6 no votes and 2 yes the diebold machine returns 7 no 1 yes result, these were the same optical scanners used in NH? - BillDoE, on 01/10/2008, -2/+6I sure am glad they convicted those narcotics.
- ryan83189, on 01/11/2008, -0/+4Correct me if im wrong, but a convicted felon cannot vote, we don't place enough trust in their decision, yet this ***** has all of the trust on his side, and he has shown no attempt to improve the technology.
- gibbwake, on 01/10/2008, -1/+4So glad to see this story, here is a more in depth article that delves into this more with irrefutable documentation that the NH vote was rigged!
http://infowars.net/articles/january2008/100108LHS ... Diebold Voting Machine Contractor Executive Has Criminal Background. Company responsible for machines throughout New Hampshire directed by convicted drug dealer - ButterBuddha, on 01/10/2008, -4/+7One of Dubya's cocaine buddies, nice
- oldhick, on 01/10/2008, -6/+9Nobody should be held to a "higher" standard. He's no more important than my neighbor who lives in a tool shed. If its wrong for toolshed, its wrong for big wig. Equality, learn about it.
- 1013, on 01/11/2008, -0/+3The problem is that there is a history of felony criminals who are involved with the voting machine process. Do some more research.
www.blackboxvoting.org - time4wrk, on 01/10/2008, -4/+7People deserve a 2nd chance.
- YouandWhoseArmy, on 01/10/2008, -0/+3Diebold is ***** up ***** company but the Drug Laws are even more ***** up (hard as that may be to believe). This story will probably be a good example of the hypocrisy that is how white, rich, drug offenders are treated vs. poor minority ones. Anyone interested in the real effects of drugs and drug laws on our society owes it to themselves to read (and digg) this.
http://www.digg.com/health/Full_Text_Consumers_Uni ... - Izult, on 01/11/2008, -0/+3"n U.S. legal context, narcotic refers to opium, opium derivatives, and their semi-synthetic or fully synthetic substitutes "as well as cocaine and coca leaves," which although classified as "narcotics" in the U.S. Controlled Substances Act (CSA), are chemically not narcotics. Contrary to popular belief, marijuana is not a narcotic. Neither are LSD and other psychedelic drugs.[4]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcotic
The drug hypocrisy aside, doesn't it worry you in the least that there's been so many stories come out in the last few weeks about past vote fraud? http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story? ... is one story that comes to mind right off hand. If you haven't seen it yet watch Hacking Democracy.

We hold our elected officials to very high standards (yep they fail miserably... a lot)... why hold the people counting the votes to a lesser standard? - Netrilix, on 01/10/2008, -1/+4Yes, because I obviously didn't mean low income.
- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -0/+31. Yes...most of Digg DOES advocate breaking the law when it comes to this.
2. He already did his time. In other stories, Diggers are VERY adamant about that. Once the guilty party does his time, that should be it. - m0neybags, on 01/10/2008, -3/+6You are making a huge generalization to say that everyone on digg is OK with felony drug trafficking. If people are for legalization, it does not necessitate that they themselves are users, nor does it follow that drug distribution on the black market is excusable. Any crime in and of itself is inherently dishonest; you're ignoring that basic premise.
- Corrosionx, on 01/11/2008, -0/+3Why can't we have peer-reviewed open-source and secure voting software? Does it have to be a secret by a suspicious company?
- capiCrimm, on 01/10/2008, -4/+7most diggers are aware that the people in the black market are not very trustworthy. Would you want Al Capone running your elections? However, Al Capone was a *result* of the prohibition, not the cause. By eliminating the drug trade you eliminate the people who thrive in it. There is no contradiction.
- dgh1973, on 01/10/2008, -0/+3Doesn't say what drug(s) he was busted for selling. Sorry, but they are not all created equal in my eyes. Some drugs are illegal solely for the purpose of giving entire wings of law enforcement jobs.
The fact that he works for a company that encourages voting fraud is, IMHO, a completely different matter entirely. - Speed, on 01/10/2008, -0/+3You are aware that lower, middle and upper class refer to income, right, bingobongony?
- eFiniTi, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2I am for the legalization of drugs. Last time I checked buying/selling drugs is a voluntary and victimless act.
However, focusing on these drug charges is diverting from the real issue. Why should we trust a corporation with counting our votes? The votes need to be hand counted to avoid any potential fraudulent abuse. That's what I'm concerned with. - RP08, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2Nice name, your Lordship.
- ren1999, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2We must return to paper votes with clearly underlined candidates and braille. The Help America Vote Act must be repealed as it was created to take away the Democracy of the United States. It is a treasonous act. Repeal it and investigate all electronic voting makers. Investigate their illegal interference in state governments to get these faulty machines installed. Act now.
- inactive, on 01/10/2008, -1/+3HE MESSED AROUND IN OTHER ELECTIONS, YOU GUYS MISS SO MUCH OF THE POINT
- MrWhite7, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2Wow, I stand corrected. News to me. I'll ignore the bait and complete logic jump.
- 1013, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2Agreed, it is the voting machine companies who are hiring convicted felons to oversee software, election processes, etc,. So it's the fact that they hire felons that is the real issue at hand because it shows the voting machine companies' true nature.
- sinalmighty, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2cause the powers that be would lose all control that way....
- funhouse1970, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2DING DING DING!
Call for new primary elections with hand counted paper ballots with strictly monitored chain of command.
No recounts - they've rigged the system to account for demand for recounts. - potisreallygood, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2Do you realize that you have made 6,606 post in the last 140 days and that every post pretty much says the same thing about how Ron Paul and Digg users suck for various reasons not limited to being stupid, losers, druggies, unemployed, crazy, virgins, and not having a life. Furthermore, I would love to see a picture of you...please?
- zennie62, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2Ha. Also look: The NH votes are going to be recounted...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moay6TFSVGg - artkit, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2How come felons CANNOT vote . . . but a felon can COUNT the votes? Doesn't make sense.
- ryan83189, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2He did something that was blatantly illegal and immoral, for the sole purpose of profit, I don't want this guy responsible for my vote. He didn't just do them, he trafficked them.
