- EatingPaste, on 01/08/2009, -6/+91On a side note the art style kinda looks like an old soviet propaganda poster
- MMusick, on 01/07/2009, -10/+60I think Fairey had a real hand in Obama's success, particularly in acquiring the nomination. The HOPE poster will undoubtedly be one of the most recognizable images of the decade.
- stoanhart, on 01/08/2009, -4/+45Kinda looks like the old-school propaganda posters from the world wars that you see popping up on Digg every once in a while.
- inactive, on 01/08/2009, -5/+39Oh, so now WE gotta change?
- akchrs, on 01/08/2009, -12/+41That's beyond any level of creepiness I have seen.
- shnjhnsn, on 01/07/2009, -10/+37Does it really matter what the poster looks like?
- inactive, on 01/08/2009, -12/+39Um, when did we start having inauguration posters? Propaganda much?
- inactive, on 01/08/2009, -12/+36Meanwhile, back in the real world, far from sloganeering "hope and change"
http://digg.com/politics/Obama_Pick_for_Top_Intel_ ... - DontTreadOnMike, on 01/08/2009, -12/+35I like it. Reminds me of soviet propaganda. It's fitting.
- skrill, on 01/08/2009, -4/+25Yes
- akchrs, on 01/08/2009, -9/+29It's patterned after the old Che Guevara posters. Like the one Obama's staff had on the walls in their offices.
- sigg14, on 01/08/2009, -1/+20because it is
- Skab, on 01/08/2009, -10/+27Change......spare some CHaaaaAAnge...Change.......
- steepdropman, on 01/08/2009, -10/+26Ummm... Che Guevara had a cool poster too! The Soviet Union even produced some really nifty posters.
- Ciryon, on 01/08/2009, -12/+27What's up with the commie colors?
- 3tcp, on 01/08/2009, -1/+16Oh boy, an exclusive on a poster.
I'm going to submit a story about this rockin' post card I got of a moose at yellowstone. - thelastcivilian, on 01/07/2009, -6/+19This design is losing its potency through ubiquity. The guerilla has been co-opted (and with permission, no less!) by the Man.
- binky79, on 01/08/2009, -11/+24Beautiful. It reminds me of my favorite Ghandi quote, "Be the change that you want to see in the world." Hooray for change!
- bobbymarko, on 01/08/2009, -4/+17yes, people with pride and a glimmer of hope in the system is quite sickening. Instead those young people should just stick to their drugs and music.
- issaccheriyathu, on 01/07/2009, -13/+25This image has been transcendental in 2008 Campaign. No wonder they chose it for the inauguration. Baby Boomers have had their run. Now it is the new generation.
- TheNik, on 01/08/2009, -4/+15Red, white, and blue? :/
- LBobRife, on 01/08/2009, -6/+17Congratulations for getting the reference. Do not think for a second that that is not intentional. One of Obama's themes throughout his campaign was that people have to be activists in order to make things change, he can't do it alone.
- epadafunk, on 01/08/2009, -1/+12I'm always reminded of communism when i see that picture for some reason.
- sanosuke001, on 01/08/2009, -5/+14It looks so.... 1984ish (the book, not the year)
- pathouston22, on 01/08/2009, -2/+11By the comments in this thread, there are going to be a lot of sticky posters out there.
- joshmoney, on 01/08/2009, -2/+11OBEY!
- inactive, on 01/08/2009, -1/+10It's propaganda on an unprecedented level.
- manlyandy, on 01/08/2009, -2/+10You know who also wanted change? Ghandi. Or also, ALMOST ANYONE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF POLITICS. But I guess you're right. Only bad people like change. Don't rock the boat people! Sheep go to heaven, goats go to hell!
- cameronsim, on 01/08/2009, -1/+9It reminds me of the old TV program 'V'....I hope Obama secretly isn't an alien lizard from outer space...that would be disappointing.
- isuisorisuaint, on 01/08/2009, -2/+10i thought those were light sabers
- BradOFarrell, on 01/08/2009, -4/+12Your comment contradicts your user name.

"The Baby Boomers are the only ones left with any backbone and know what's it really like to work hard and live a hard life."
Ah no their parents "The Greatest Generation" the people who pulled America through the great depression, WWII and loved their country, you know the people that the baby boomers dumped in homes because they were too much of a hassle. They handed the Baby Boomers a comfortable life full of better opportunities then they ever had. the majority of Baby Boomers are pansy asses that are more concerned with what they can get out of their country then what they can do to make it better. Just look at the majority of your elected officials. You know, the douche bags that rape the Social Security program set up by the Greatest Generation year after year that our generation still pays into. - davidrools, on 01/08/2009, -2/+10yeah, you've been wearing that same shirt for days and it's starting to smell
- Frozo, on 01/08/2009, -1/+8OK, isn't it just a little creepy that the "OBEY" street artist who's website tagline is "Manufacturing Quality Dissent Since 1989: PROPAGANDA ENGINEERING" is the same guy who is doing all the Obama posters?
- freqk, on 01/08/2009, -1/+8*clap clap*
- hydroplane, on 01/08/2009, -4/+11Big Brotha-man is watching you...
- dd12101, on 01/08/2009, -11/+18can anyone say "communist"????
- KrayzieKyd, on 01/08/2009, -0/+7... you want to see in the world."
~ Ghandi - inactive, on 01/07/2009, -23/+30At least they don't have to use the fake presidential seal any more.
- TheNik, on 01/08/2009, -6/+13As opposed to the Batista posters that were on the walls of the McCain offices?
- cptshamrock, on 01/08/2009, -0/+7only kinda?
- avianeddy, on 02/17/2009, -3/+9"commie"?
"soviet"?
WOW
its the Red Scare all over again in here - ZeroCubed, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7Ghandi, Che Gueverra, Martin Luther King, and Jesus also liked change.
- stickywheelz, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7nice mix of communism and capitalism..don't you think?
- BayouBengal, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7Hmm, America is only just over 232 years old, I am pretty sure propaganda existed before then.
- BeatPunchbeef, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7Red light sabers?
Hmmm, 'Join the "dark" side' indeed. - jasdf, on 01/08/2009, -0/+5It is just another in a long line of propaganda posters throughout history.
- inactive, on 01/08/2009, -3/+8The Nazi's had a cool look.
- Anachronus, on 01/08/2009, -0/+5No that would be change.
- bobbymarko, on 01/08/2009, -1/+6Too bad the poster is $100! You can get it signed and numbered for a modest $500.
