- everamzah, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7i like this video. when all the news outlets die, because people realize that they're not news in a true sense (and will then maybe be called something else), i think at least one of them may change course and pick up where they left off all those years ago and start representing the people again. start being the people's voice again. media is an important part of democracy, but it's so broken right now that it'll fold in on itself.

This is serious stuff.- manchu2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Never once in this whole interview did Matthews or Baer mention that Iraq signed a cease fire with the US in 1991 that obligated it to do certain things which it DIDN'T. Aggressive war? The next time we go to war and DON'T give our opponent the option to ask for a cease fire based on how badly the cease fire with Iraq went...that'll be a hell of an aggressive war.

I'm sure he's got good contacts there still, but this guy hasn't been working the middle east as a CIA operative since just after the beginning of Clinton's second term. Consider that as you evaluate what he said.
Also not mentioned in this little clip were the half dozen answers to why we were launching Operation Iraqi Freedom. Truthfully, a Sadaam/AQ connection wasn't even on the list. Keep some perspective.
