- rhabd0mancer, on 07/12/2008, -25/+7I'm not glad he's dead... but now that he is dead, I'm glad he's burning in hell.

- anachronaut, on 07/12/2008, -31/+18It's hard to feel bad when a paid liar who sold his country out on a daily basis dies of cancer. I'm a caring, empathetic person who doesn't usually engage in schadenfreude, but I can't help but feel that he got what he deserved.
- DurangoSteve, on 07/12/2008, -12/+12Wow, I hope that YOU will not be judged so harshly !
- anachronaut, on 07/12/2008, -7/+8If I, for some strange reason, someday lose my principles and make a career out of lying and selling out my fellow countrymen, I hope I am judged even more harshly.
- qdkk, on 07/12/2008, -7/+10Snow lied to the country knowingly. He can be judged for that.
- DurangoSteve, on 07/12/2008, -9/+2And I guess that YOU never did anything wrong.
- JigoroKano, on 07/13/2008, -1/+8"And I guess that YOU never did anything wrong."
Not that had such an effect on so many.
- bestsoccerdog, on 07/12/2008, -7/+6You think he got what he deserved? You think his family got what they deserved? What about his children? They don't have a father anymore. His friends? Death doesn't effect one person. It effects many people. He didn't get what he deserved. He deserved to see his kids grow up and marry. He deserved to live a long life, just like almost every person in this country. If you end up having cancer, maybe you will know what it's like. You can pretty much mark the days of your life on a calender. You know when you're going to die, and that's the hardest part about it. You're not a caring person, you're an *****, and that's all you'll ever be.
- Eggzb, on 07/12/2008, -4/+4Snow help an admin. sell countless lies to the American people. How many have died because of this.
Lies cause cancer and Tony can burn for it for all I care. - appleseed1234, on 07/13/2008, -1/+3You're absolutely right, one less person to spread lies means less people will continue to die. This probably affects more people in a good way than it does in bad.
- Eggzb, on 07/12/2008, -4/+4Snow help an admin. sell countless lies to the American people. How many have died because of this.
- cabdirazzaq, on 07/12/2008, -0/+9Sir, I agree with you. I don't condone dancing on someones grave or insulting the dead but at the same time, men like snow are not on my mourning list.
- birch25, on 07/13/2008, -6/+2jesus, you're an *****. you may not have agreed with many things he argued for (neither did i) but he was a good person who would not have laughed at the idea of you burning in hell if you had died.
- ganymede2010, on 07/13/2008, -1/+4I agree, the only people I feel sorry for is his family. But yes, this guy consistently went on the record and lied to the American people.
- BigJohnUkraine, on 07/13/2008, -3/+0When a prominent democrat dies, the average republican is respectful and kind, honoring the sanctity of the moment. It seems like many democrats rejoice at the death of republicans.
You can learn a lot about a person when you see how they respond to the death of those with whom they disagree.
What I learned about you from your remark is that you are hateful and bigoted.- bestsoccerdog, on 07/13/2008, -2/+0Exactly. With Tim Russert, Fox News was respectful and so were the other news networks. The talked about his "good" times. Now with Tony Snow, the other networks don't give a rat's ass. They talk about him when they have nothing else to say. Give him the proper respect he deserves, even if you don't mean it. This is solid evidence of the way liberals act.
- DurangoSteve, on 07/12/2008, -12/+12Wow, I hope that YOU will not be judged so harshly !
- TheoDork, on 07/12/2008, -24/+33Whether he was right or wrong, Tony Snow passionately fought for what he believed in. You don't have to like a person, in order to mourn the loss of their life. My heart goes out to his wife Jill and his three children.
- B1663r, on 07/12/2008, -5/+4The last time I saw him speak he was saying he had defeated the cancer and he was gonna live to a ripe old age.

- mcquitty, on 07/13/2008, -0/+2I will have you know that I don't let politics affect my condolences for other people. When it came to Mr. Kennedy's cancer, I didn't hear the same thing. In fact, when people brought up his indiscretions, they were lambasted. Why is it any different for someone else on the other side of the aisle?
In fact, he only worked for the Bush Administration for a short while. Why let your politics affect your humanity? - appleseed1234, on 07/13/2008, -1/+1Because what I find amazing is, he was far more deceiving and destructive over his relatively short career than Ted Kennedy was during his half-century one, and now these stupid sheep commenters are trying to whitewash him.

- Thrilltone, on 07/12/2008, -16/+11The proposition has often been put forth that gentlemanly behavior somehow tempers the guilt of an individual who facilitates evil. I think the reverse is true, because these are the ones who mask evil with an aura of respectability and give credence and momentum to the perpetuation of foul deeds.
- Rotzooi, on 07/12/2008, -22/+16He helped facilitate the felonies of this administration. I have no sympathy for the man.
- DurangoSteve, on 07/12/2008, -10/+8But I have sympathy for you and your family.
- MatthewTheRaven, on 07/12/2008, -24/+34To those of you who are itching to come along and condemn this man that you know nothing about simply because his politics don't agree with yours, let me be the first to say a hearty ***** You.
Tony Snow was a good man who left behind a wife of 21 years and three children. That his job for a small period of time was that of White House Press Secretary doesn't take any of that away.- Rotzooi, on 07/12/2008, -17/+8He is part of the politics of fear, evil and greed. Sure, I'm sorry for his wife and children. But the world's a better place without people like Tony Snow.
I bet you cried when Jesse Helms died, last week. Boohoo for the poor racist bastard. - ichbeineinrcg, on 07/12/2008, -13/+20You lost me at "Tony Snow was a good man."
He stood out in front as a mouthpiece for the most cynically corrupt presidential administration that has ever held the office. I don't know what was in his heart, but as spokesman he constantly belittled anyone who raised the slightest questions about what Bush and Cheney were up to. He happily cashed in on fear by invoking 9/11 as a blanket catch-all for what the administration was doing.
A shame for his wife and kids. But let's not make the man out to be something he wasnt.- dartmanx, on 07/12/2008, -11/+8He didn't "happily cash in on" anything. He left a high paying job for the government service, because he was honored to serve his country. There are damn few people left these days who believe in that sort of thing.
- tao52nyc, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1Yeah, then he had to quit again because he couldn't make it on $168k per year. I bet most of us would do quite well on that kind of salary, especially for government "service".
- Rotzooi, on 07/12/2008, -17/+8He is part of the politics of fear, evil and greed. Sure, I'm sorry for his wife and children. But the world's a better place without people like Tony Snow.
- Swarms, on 07/12/2008, -21/+24The man was not "evil" just because you don't agree with his politics. He left behind a wife and three children. At least you guys are being dugg down, but for ***** sake.
- EllieElliott, on 07/12/2008, -19/+12And how many people would be alive if BushCo didn't start a war of choice in Iraq? Sincere sympathies to the Snow family -- and to all the families BushCo destroyed.
- dartmanx, on 07/12/2008, -6/+4And how many people did Tony Snow personally send to their deaths?
- Rotzooi, on 07/12/2008, -5/+4Following that logic, only a handful of officers in the field are guilty of warcrimes.
Exactly what George W Bush wants to hear from his servants.

- NotedFuturist, on 07/12/2008, -11/+3Disingenuous lying *****, you've already stated you're a "rabid atheist".
Look to your left... there is no one there... it's you, you're the most left. That reeking smell is you, you are the intellectually limited, bigoted, smelly ***** atheist liberal scum that believes there is nothing good, and evil is a lie, but you sit in moral judgment of others.
***** coward.
You're welcome. - Rotzooi, on 07/12/2008, -4/+5Lying? About what?
You lie to people all the time by telling them some man in the sky made the world, you ***** troglodytic knuckle-dragger creationist retard.
Creationists are the most virulent, spittle-flecked gaggle of mental throwbacks to ever stain this beautiful American country. Your God will not judge you kindly.

- DuggDowner, on 07/12/2008, -3/+5I sit in awe of the might of chickenhawks like you. It's easy to be tough on the internet, but as your comments reveal, you live in fear of everyone who doesn't look and think exactly like you.
- appleseed1234, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1He actually expressed to desire to see everyone fall in lock step to the administration in a patriotic frenzy (like yourself), granting Bush the power to do whatever he pleases (as he has done), and flush the economy away.
Congrats for falling for it.

- Lilitou, on 07/12/2008, -11/+11You don't have to have agreed with him to think this is sad news. I didn't expect him to recover, but I hoped he would. I know what it's like to watch a family member endure cancer, but my mother was lucky enough to survive hers. Best wishes to his family.
- jc730, on 07/12/2008, -12/+14It's sad how so many have to turn the death of this man into a political argument. It doesn't take much courage to insult a person after their dead, at least show a little respect for the guy for fighting cancer so long, the politics can wait.
- johnleemk, on 07/12/2008, -14/+11Look, guys, I respect your belief that Snow was responsible for furthering the goals of a horrible administration, but to celebrate the death of a human being is pretty ridiculous. Snow was a man doing his job - he may have been wrong, but that doesn't make him evil. And you might want to remember that even though Bush is almost universally disliked, there are still a substantial (20%? 30%?) portion of Americans who actually think he's doing a good job and are behind him. If you hate Snow and like him dead, just remember you've got a lot more than a few "traitors" in Congress and the White House to hang.
- alex361, on 07/12/2008, -11/+13Rest in peace Tony Snow. Just because you disagree with his political views doesn't mean you should dance on his grave. Show some respect for ***** sake.
- Rotzooi, on 07/12/2008, -11/+4Respect!? You make me sick.
I will dance on the graves of every war criminal and all those who support them.

- SaperKain, on 07/12/2008, -14/+5What goes around, comes around. If there is hell Tony Snow will burn in it for spreading republican cancer. No mercy for traitors. - elshizzo, on 07/12/2008, -9/+6As a liberal, I gotta say that a lot of people are being overly harsh on this guy. For a Bush defender, he was hardly one of the worst. On the day of his death, you should atleast be respectful. You can go back to hating him tomorrow..
- WarfareArtist, on 07/12/2008, -9/+4Meh...irrelevant. I don't care for him neither do I hate him. If he doesn't do what he does lots of people would be there to take his place.
- Alegoo92, on 07/13/2008, -1/+1"Irrelevant."
I'm so happy that we finally found the 'one' that can deem any particular thing relevant or not.
It's pertinent to me. So why don't you just...NOT comment on a thread that doesn't interest you?
- Alegoo92, on 07/13/2008, -1/+1"Irrelevant."
- DiggGeek24, on 07/12/2008, -11/+4For those thats glad Tony snow is dead remember karma when you or your wife son daughter dies of cancer I hope westboro baptist church will protest at the funeral.
- tao52nyc, on 07/13/2008, -0/+0Frankly, I think Snow's cancer WAS his karma, for spending over a decade of his professional career as first a neocon propagandist on Fox, then an apologist for Bush-co. That was some toxic crap he spewed over the years, and it was bound to have an effect internally. I don't "hate" Snow for his actions, but I DO understand he principle of cause and effect.
- trav12221, on 07/12/2008, -9/+2As much I hated him, I never wish death upon anyone. RIP
- Spoomeister, on 07/12/2008, -9/+3I'd like all the people who are gleeful at his death, or otherwise disparaging him, to explain exactly how he was 'evil'. Spokesman for a corrupt administration? Is that the best you have?
- JigoroKano, on 07/13/2008, -1/+3First I'd like you to explain how Goebbels was evil.
- Spoomeister, on 07/13/2008, -0/+2*sigh* Oh, for *****'s sake.

- dildoolielly, on 07/13/2008, -2/+3Why would we explain it to you know?! If you don't get it by now, you never will, so piss off!
- JigoroKano, on 07/13/2008, -1/+3First I'd like you to explain how Goebbels was evil.
- JigoroKano, on 07/13/2008, -3/+16When Saddam was executed, I didn't see any of you morning for his loss. He had a family; daughters that he took care of and that loved him in return.
You morn Snow's loss because he looked like you, lived in your country, and spoke your language. This hypocrisy is your tribalism. It is what allows war.- DarkReign16, on 07/13/2008, -3/+7Yeah but Saddam ordered the deaths of thousands of civilians and was a military dictator. Tony Snow was just a press secretary, sheesh. Chill out people, I know that this war has also cost the lives of thousands upon thousands, but Tony Snow didn't cause this war, he didn't order it, and he didn't vote for it. Yeah, he supported it, but so do 20-30 million other stupid Americans, but does that mean they all deserve death?
People can be wrong, you know. Tony didn't cause anyone to die, so please chill out...
And yeah, I DO mourn the deaths of Iraqi civilians, regardless of how they speak, or sound, or where they were born. It's ***** sad, but Tony Snow was not responsible for those people's deaths. He was wrong, so wrong, but not responsible for a single death, or the war. So stop taking out your anger on him...it won't do any good. Hate breeds hate, and anger more anger.- appleseed1234, on 07/13/2008, -1/+4Remember, Saddam couldn't have killed as many people as he did if we hadn't given him the means to do so!
Bet you think that because the US Government officials that supplied the chemical weapons and spokespeople (like Tony) who convinced us to weren't directly responsible, they don't deserve death either? - JigoroKano, on 07/13/2008, -1/+4So Tony Snow's hands are clean because he didn't directly order any deaths? How convenient that one can act as a catalyst to death and take none of the blame. Why stop there? Why blame Bush or Saddam for any deaths when they didn't personally kill anyone? Much like Tony Snow, they merely spoke words. Or further, suppose Bush is a pawn, would you not attach guilt to his advisers who do not even order deaths but merely advise the president to promote him doing so?
Tony Snow played his part and for that he deserves his fair share of culpability. He was a professional deceiver with a destructive agenda.
- appleseed1234, on 07/13/2008, -1/+4Remember, Saddam couldn't have killed as many people as he did if we hadn't given him the means to do so!
- BigJohnUkraine, on 07/13/2008, -4/+2I usually don't mourn the loss of mass murderers. Do you? I don't care if they look like me, act like me, went to my high school or what.
Your accusation lacks complete credibility. It's not reasonable or rational. It's just stupid and hateful at the same time. Wake up. Be rational. Think. - DarkReign16, on 07/13/2008, -0/+2I don't remember who said it, but there is a quote I like.
"Anger is like a hot stone. You pick it up to throw at somebody, but you only end up burning yourself". And we're all guilty of this, including, of course, myself. - bestsoccerdog, on 07/13/2008, -0/+0Saddam wanted to kill his family. I don't think Tony Snow hated his family. We mourn him because he was an asset to the country, as much as you liberals think otherwise.
- DarkReign16, on 07/13/2008, -3/+7Yeah but Saddam ordered the deaths of thousands of civilians and was a military dictator. Tony Snow was just a press secretary, sheesh. Chill out people, I know that this war has also cost the lives of thousands upon thousands, but Tony Snow didn't cause this war, he didn't order it, and he didn't vote for it. - Westrunner, on 07/13/2008, -8/+2I disagreed with him virtually all of the time, but he was a class act and he had my respect. RIP Mr. Snow, and condolences to the family.
- dildoolielly, on 07/13/2008, -4/+13"Tony Snow was a co-conspirator in probably the largest know fraud ever perpetuated and executed on the American public by it's own elected executive branch.
He was Fox news anchor in the likes of Hannity, Cavueto, & Wallace. This guy was a practiced liar and propagandist before he ever stepped foot into the White House Press briefing room. The precise reasone Bush chose him was for his ability to so effectively lie and dance around tough questions that the American people demanded answers to.
So now he's dead. I said "good riddance" and hell, some of your are falling over each other to condem me for it...
But you know what? I DON'T GIVE A ***** what you think of my "heartless" comments, because what i see is a parade of soppy condolensces for a co-criminal that far outpaces and far outnumber any conversations about the death of our own innocent citizen soldiers nor the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis.
Disgusting....
How do we win this generational ideological battle when we've got silly sissies on our side wailing over a another scumbag's death?

...and yeah, "don't let the door hit you", whatever. See ya, you guys are crazy.- appleseed1234, on 07/13/2008, -2/+2I didn't agree with Hitler, so I must be a wacko.
- dildoolielly, on 07/13/2008, -3/+0No book fo' you! You go now!
- flumkin, on 07/13/2008, -3/+0Tony Snow seemed like a really nice guy. For being married for 21 years he was a good husband and a good father.
It is tragic his professional legacy is so tarnished that he will only be remembered as a mouthpiece for a corrupt political party.
At least he had good enough sense to get out of where he was and spend his final months with his family.
God bless him and the family he leaves behind. - Jeepy, on 07/13/2008, -2/+1For all the people clamoring for respect and such you need a little perspective. When John Edwards' wife got diagnosed with cancer Ann Coulter publicly made claims that she deserved it if she died. When Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with a tumor Limbaugh spent days publicly making crude jokes about it. So you're looking for compassion and self censorship when the blowhards who represent your ideals in politics show no remorse in vilifying liberals? This whole idea that you can work for, be represented by, and support an organization and then be completely free from accountability when they do horrible things on your behalf is childish. You call us immature? Where the ***** have you been the last eight years while the country has gone through the most trying times in most of our life times in the name of so called conservatism.
You say we shouldn't judge him or you based on "partisan" ideals but at what point do you start having your own ideals? You disagree with a lot of what Bush has done, too bad you helped get him elected twice, you don't agree with what happened in Abu Ghraib, too bad the people who represent you green light it, you don't agree with what Fox News broadcasts, too bad its made by conservatives for Conservatives, you don't think Tony Snow was a bad guy just because of what he did for a living, well too bad because he helped lie about and white wash some of the worst abuses of power by a president in American history, and all of this, reflects poorly on you and him as people. So we'll judge our fellow men by our own standards if that's ok with you.
In summary: If you talk out of your ass long enough it will get cancer. - BigJohnUkraine, on 07/13/2008, -1/+1A great deal can be learned from watching how people respond when those with whom they disagree suffer loss. I remember seeing the footage of Muslims the world over rejoicing as airplanes crashed into the twin towers and killed thousands of innocent children. Children no longer had fathers and mothers. Parents lost their children. Husbands and wives lost their spouses. These were innocent people who lost their lives, and Muslims rejoiced. What vile thing controls the hearts of such people?
It is the same vile thing that controls the hearts of those who rejoice over the death of Tony Snow. Sure, you disagreed with him, and yes, I know, you hate Bush. And yes, I know you really believe that Bush alone made everything up and fooled the rest of the world into believing the lie... Yeah right.
However, when the news of Ted Kennedy's condition hit the news, there was genuine concern, respect, and honor from the most conservative members of the media. That says a lot about them.
So, you who rejoice at the death of Tony Snow... how can you even look at yourselves in the mirror? Do you not blush in shame over what you have said? Have you no decency? No respect? No integrity? No character? No honor?- appleseed1234, on 07/13/2008, -1/+2I'd say the opposite of just about everything you said was true. FAR more Muslims reached out to support us after 9/11 than jeered us.
MANY more Americans rejoice over the deaths of Muslims than they do over Tony Snow.
And as I do recall, in the news and in the comments here at Digg, A GREAT DEAL of people shoved aside that fact that despite Ted Kennedy told far fewer lies in his 50-year career than Tony did in his 20 year one, they jeered him for his actual SERVICE to America because right wing Radionuts said it was ok.

- arvvvs, on 07/13/2008, -0/+1Tony Snow was actually a rare person in Washington, who actually said "I don't Know". He had a boss who messed up his life, but had a sense of humor, and wit. Even though he served moron, Snow could have been made a better president than Bush. Anyone could have.
