The conventional wisdom about why she says all the goofy things she says is that she's doing it to sell books, but the backlash over the Edwards comments have hurt her more than anything. I think she really, honestly hates the people she attacks and feels justified doing it. I don't know what you'd call the disorder, but it seems like she needs help and pity more than all this attention.
