Doc reveals Canadian gov't opposed more Listeria testing

The Globe and Mail is reporting that an April, 2006 Canadian Food Inspection Agency document stated that "Canada opposed daily inspection visits and the testing of finished products for Listeria monocytogenes." Listeria is the bacterial infection at the center of the tainted meat story
