- Stryder81, on 09/10/2008, -7/+492I love the fact that Mr. Paul said " Instead of giving aid to Georgia, why not spend it on our own poor? "
And saying " giving humanitarian aid is the same as military "
I truly respect this man...
The Revolution Continues... >:) - ptex, on 09/10/2008, -37/+488I was going to vote for McCain but now I think I'll write in Dr. Paul.
- billyjack1958, on 09/10/2008, -8/+405Ron Paul is the most principled candidate I have ever encountered in my 30+ years of voting. He speaks the truth, has never voted against the Constitution and truly cares about we the people.
- Pssdoff, on 09/10/2008, -7/+378Georgia is 'a struggling democracy attacked by a larger country (Russia)' - that statement is obvious *****.
Ron Paul nailed it with the "very power special interest groups that have an oil pipeline going through (Georgia)", its the reason why the media has interests in defending Georgia's unjustified attack on it's citizenry. - flavioribeiro, on 09/10/2008, -9/+209This is a direct consequence of having the government in charge of currency.
One of Mises' great contributions is the so called Regression Theorem, which explains the origin and nature of money. In a realistic marketplace, money should be treated as a negotiable commodity and should get its value from the marketplace and not from the government. Like any commodity, money is scarce and should be treated as such.
Socialism cannot work because it ignores that materials, labor and wealth of all forms are limited, and are thus scarce. Marx conveniently ignored this fact, which easily leads to a refutation of his theory of value.
The government also ignores that wealth of all forms (even intellectual) is scarce. Government officials run the printing presses, and neglect that the billion dollars that goes to Georgia represents a billion dollars that is taken from Americans. Just like Marx, they never even attempt to justify this reasoning -- they just deny whatever accusation comes their way and pretend that reason and logic need not apply. - inactive, on 09/10/2008, -4/+183"Two-party 'charade' must end, Ron Paul says"
.........McCain's aides argued that the Texas Republican should endorse McCain because he would do a "little less harm" than Obama........
CLASSIC!
http://campaignforliberty.com/ - Acrinimiril, on 09/11/2008, -5/+170Ron Paul doesn't need to have the title President, he is leading the country by example!
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -6/+143Ron Paul said DO NOT WRITE IN HIS NAME as it will not count. He is telling us to go THIRD PARTY!
Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader agree with Ron Paul on four key principles central to the health of our nation. These principles should be key in the considerations of every voter this November and in every election.
We Agree!!! FOUR HUGE issues!
Foreign Policy:
The Iraq War must end as quickly as possible with removal of all our soldiers from the region.
Privacy:
We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We must repeal or radically change the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation.
The National Debt:
We believe that there should be no increase in the national debt.
The Federal Reserve:
We seek a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System and its cozy relationships with the banking, corporate, and other financial institutions. - Thinbev, on 09/10/2008, -4/+115People, I have the answer.

http://www.venezuelanalysis.com/news/1752 - inactive, on 09/10/2008, -5/+107This is a stunning statement coming from a member of the House of Representatives. We could use about 500 more of him in Congress.
- okdewit, on 09/11/2008, -4/+100Weird, I'm from holland, and I'm following the USA elections in the same way that I followed the Russian elections: just the most important candidates, and through the dutch media.
Before I saw this video I thought Obama was America's only hope, and although I get a weird feeling when I watch Obama speak (like everthing he says is fake, but I have that with lots of politicians in Holland too), I was kinda supporting him.
I was also a person that really hated republicans, and thought the world would be (slightly) better off with a democrat in the white house.
This Ron Paul person has really changed my view, and although it is unlikely he will be president soon, maybe he can inspire enough people to deliver that change that Obama and McCain are talking about. I don't care anymore that Ron paul is republican, he is the only politician I have ever seen who can be looked right in the eye and you can see that he is holding nothing back. He says what people think all around the world.
In holland, most people look at America the same way as the small "terrorist countries", only better organized and better at hiding it's intentions. - Xihix, on 09/11/2008, -6/+101Why did the GOP ignore this man? Why?
- voicce, on 09/10/2008, -5/+91Paul nailed it again -- the two party bigwigs never think of the American people except for how to dupe us, use us, fleece us.
- mizrae, on 09/10/2008, -4/+82Remember divided we continue to fall-join Campaign for Liberty. Together we can show how great America and her citizenry can be!!!
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/ - 3toe, on 09/11/2008, -5/+71You were going to vote for McCain?
- inactive, on 09/10/2008, -11/+77@ptex, please vote 3rd party
Barr
Baldwin
Nader
McKinney - Minarchian, on 09/10/2008, -4/+67They won't count write in candidates who are not registered their intent to be a write in. Most States, I think, have this stipulation.
Here in NC (pdf file):
http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/GetDocument.aspx?id=31 ...
I states;
"An individual seeking to become a write-in candidate for President must file with the SBE a declaration of intent (containing the following: name, residential address, declaration of intent, office sought, date of election, date of declaration, signature) and petition containing the signatures of 500 qualified voters of the State by noon on the 90th day before the general election – Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Verification by the chairman of the CBE shall be completed within two weeks from the date the petitions are presented."
So, in NC anyway, it's too late for Paul to have any write-in votes for him. - tkubic46, on 09/10/2008, -4/+64GO Ron GO!
- Patriotess, on 09/10/2008, -5/+64Ptex: Welcome to the Ron Paul Revolution... We need help sharing the truth about Individual liberty and Freedom... Join us at www.campaignforliberty.com.
- georgemason01, on 09/11/2008, -5/+62I really hope this hits the front page because Obama supporters need to account for the idea of foreign intervention. If they want to believe Obama will downscale the so-called war on terrorism without proof, fine, I'll accept that. But even he admits he supports globalism at least to the point of sending our "allies" (in reality, useful puppets who can facilitate the securing of oil) vast sums of money. How can you justify sending all this taxpayer money abroad when there are people suffering in America who need it more?
Ron Paul isn't a socialist and doesn't support welfare, but common sense does come into play - if we're going to send millions or billions to another country, we may as well be spending that money building our own nation, and both parties should be able to agree that if we're going to be forcibly taxed 30-40% of our income, it may as well be spent on things that will help us and our citizens.
This doesn't mean you can't help foreign nations. There are thousands of charity organizations dedicated to helping people around the world. Isn't it preferable to voluntarily aid someone over having your money stolen and distributed without your input or consent?
Building up our own nation, people and infrastructure will set an example which will have a more positive effect on the world than arbitrarily helping individual countries - nations which just happen to be key in the oil trade no less. - inactive, on 09/10/2008, -4/+57The American Majority
The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.
Carroll Quigley – Author of Tragedy & Hope - inactive, on 09/11/2008, -3/+51Daniel Fried: Who cares how much debt we're in? Let's send billions to Georgia.
Ron Paul: Did you ever think that they're going to spend that money on war, or that Americans need that money?
Daniel Fried: No, I never thought that. It's in "our" (CFR's? the arms brokers'?) interest to fund tiny Georgia against massive Russia.
Ron Paul: Again, did you ever think of Americans?
Paul should have asked Fried whether he was loyal to America, a foreign state, or a global organization. - jaymzdean, on 09/10/2008, -12/+60Still no reason to vote for McBama.
- FierceGrape, on 09/11/2008, -2/+48Why didn't this man get the nomination?
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -2/+47Because he is for abolishing the Federal Reserve. The people who run the federal reserve are members of the CFR, who pick our "top tier" presidents for their agenda, which is not good for us.... They hate Ron Paul. News Corp (Rupert Murdoch) is in the CFR, so is Obama and McCain, and the others...
- richmomz, on 09/10/2008, -3/+48The truth can be a real downer sometimes.
- noyritus, on 09/11/2008, -7/+50I was going to vote for Obama, then I realized he voted for FISA and continuing the Patriot ACT! WTF! Same goes for McCain. America is being duped again. Vote for anyone other than McBama
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez5robAWmu4 - klasifyde, on 09/10/2008, -4/+46Daniel Fried needs to be tarred and feathered. He is a liar and just another name to be added to the list of traitors in this administration. I don't know how in the hell Ron Paul stays so calm when some SOB sits there and literally taunts him and all of us with out and out lies!
They really are trying to cause a non-peaceful revolution in this country! - inactive, on 09/11/2008, -2/+41National debt rising almost $2 billion per day now... There are only 300 million of us.
- Lawofnations, on 09/10/2008, -4/+41This will take time for the bureaucrats to adjust to but all political parties need to be outlawed. According to the intent of the Framers of the constitution, the Federalist Papers, there is to be NO party system in this country as it invites faction. The representatives in our Republican form of government are required to protect and serve We the People.
- Bisquick, on 09/11/2008, -0/+36And here I didn't think it was possible to agree with Ron Paul more.
- 1freedomforall, on 09/10/2008, -3/+39The TRUTH hurts. Just ask McCain and Obama
- Spudster, on 09/11/2008, -9/+42Buried for even considering to vote for McCain
- americangoy, on 09/10/2008, -10/+43You write in Dr. Paul, I'll write in Mike Gravel.
The two candidates have two main things in common:
they are considered "fringe" and "extremist" by the media (you see, they are both AGAINST the war)
and
they are called "crazy" and "cooky" to belittle them while being ignored, all the while the media orgasms when Palin, Obama or McCain is on. - BluesFan, on 09/11/2008, -2/+34Like Paul said this is exactly what our enemies want to spread our troops out so thin through out the world and bankrupt the U.S.....makes you wonder if our enemies don't have help on the inside.
Mr. Bush your grandfather was a traitor and so are you. - inactive, on 09/11/2008, -1/+32The man is an inspiration. Consistent principled integrity...a natural leader.
I hope to see this on the front page. Digg could use an injection of truth every now and then. - inactive, on 09/11/2008, -12/+421. He didn't vote on FISA because he wasn't able to make it. He said that he was against it before the vote.
2. Why does the federal government have authority to go into New Orleans? The fact is it doesn't, and Ron Paul, who had sworn to uphold the constitution, only followed his duty.
3. Ron Paul is putting any money taken from his district by the federal government back into his district.
4. Your link did not work for the Afghan War issue, but we did initially need to invade Afghanistan because Al-Qaeda which had a strong influence in Afghanistan, was responsible for terrorist attacks.
5. Ron Paul most likely did not know who they were. Just because someone supports you doesn't mean you support them.
6. Ron Paul is saying that Christianity plays a strong role in society. It is true, and while I think it shouldn't, Paul is still for religious freedom, just not anti-religion sentiments by the government.
7. Marriage Protection Act essentially gives states the rights to determine marriage as it should be.
8. It's unconstitutional to make something like abortion a national issue.
9. Saying that it isn't libertarian is stupid. Some libertarians believe that fetuses do reserved some rights. - theskyisblue, on 09/11/2008, -3/+32um georgia attacked russia first......
- GTOFan350, on 09/11/2008, -0/+29We need RON PAUL for President!!! Americans won't get together though to do it. Curse the media!
- mordochai, on 09/11/2008, -0/+29God bless Dr. Paul for seeing through the news, those news which obviously Mr. Fried can't even seem to understand. Georgia committed an act of aggression and even the people in our government don't seem to know what really happened.
Wow. Our foreign policy = fail. - swOhio, on 09/11/2008, -3/+32Not My Presid...... wait, wait. That's EXACTLY who I want to have as my president
- Ajajadude, on 09/11/2008, -2/+29Yup, only Ron Paul and independents are for those things.
- AverageJane2, on 09/11/2008, -0/+27Dugg for:
"most people look at America the same way as the small "terrorist countries", only better organized and better at hiding it's intentions." - georgemason01, on 09/11/2008, -2/+29Judging by your username and your profile history, it seems your only purpose on Digg is to troll Ron Paul supporters. I weep for you.
- Erich100, on 09/10/2008, -3/+28Does anybody know if Daniel Fried has dual citizenship?
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -0/+24Well keep spreading the word. Paul seems to be getting a few more MSM interviews which is good. Tell your folks and friends about Ron and help them understand the monetary system.
- spaceman84, on 09/11/2008, -0/+23Too bad the majority aren't following it.
- inactive, on 09/11/2008, -1/+24I wish you would actually enter into a discussion rather than constantly making yourself look like a child in kindergarten throwing a tantrum.
It's OK that you are of limited intellect, we'll still play with you. - audomatix, on 09/11/2008, -4/+27I am a democrat, you might even consider me liberal, but when it comes to Ron Paul I think the man is brilliant. If it's Obama/ McCain of course i'll vote Obama. However if it was Paul/Obama I think Ron Paul is more concerned with taking care of us at home and I would vote for him. I really wish he would run independent, I think he'd have a shot. If anyone can restore our financial freedom it's Ron Paul.
- audioscience, on 09/11/2008, -16/+38Yes all McCain voters please write in a 3rd Party.
We appreciate you nullifying your vote since you ***** up the last 8 years.
Thanks. -
