"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
The Federal Government doesn't have the power to create any prohibition laws, that is up to the states to decide.
You can thank the states that are supporting a 10th Amendment sovereignty bill.

This is what has changed the Federal Government's stand on marijuana.
The states are giving the Federal Government an ultimatum. They are basically saying ***** you, and if you try and make laws to which you don't have the power we will leave the union of the USA.
Contact your state representative and demand that they support and protect the 10th Amendment. - wheresmclean, on 03/20/2009, -2/+16Digging is wonderful, but get out and write to your reps, join NORML, start intelligent discourse. Don't be armchair, let's really work to change marijuana law!
- RUBallsingMe, on 03/20/2009, -1/+13It is about time
- LethalGeek, on 03/20/2009, -0/+8Not that I'm all hyped up about pot being legalized or not, this struck me more about State's Rights than anything else.
- jtobe, on 03/20/2009, -0/+7a very valid argument. i like it
the authors of our constitution, as a whole, where very selfless and insightful. we need to respect their actions, as they were done FOR our country knowing full well they could be accused of treason, and uphold the values that are at the heart of this country's laws - trixdropd, on 03/20/2009, -1/+7It's about time is right!!
- scottsutherland, on 03/20/2009, -0/+5If anything, people will get stoned and WILL realize how much the government has ***** them over.

Need a dispenser here! - Coinspinner, on 03/20/2009, -0/+39th Amendment: "Just 'cause we don't list a right here in these 10 Amendments doesn't mean you don't have it."
This Amendment so far has given us only birth-control pills, but I have a feeling the founding fathers meant a lot more than that! ! - OmegaWolf, on 03/21/2009, -1/+4Perhaps this will lead to some states lowering their drinking age from the ridiculously high 21.
- cdawzrd, on 03/21/2009, -0/+3Why the ***** did you feel the need to smoke a half ounce every week? My friends that smoke a "lot" only go through an eighth or a quarter a week, if that.
Also, if you had been smoking for 30 years and not figured out how to get it cheaper than that, I have no pity. - stoodi, on 03/21/2009, -0/+3You should "Use your brain man." learn to grow if you dont like to spend money.
- AgntOrnge, on 03/21/2009, -1/+3They'll legalize it, tax the ***** out of it, people will begin buying it black market like untaxed cigarettes, and the cycle of crime will perputate itself. They'll just be getting busted for something different. And if you think they hate drugs, you should see how happy they get when you don't pay them thier taxes.
- inactive, on 03/20/2009, -1/+3I can see it now, the government will legalize Marijuana, tax the ***** out of it and hope everyone gets stoned so they don't realize how much the public has been ***** over the past few years. btw. I'm a supporter of legalizing drugs.
- Coinspinner, on 03/20/2009, -1/+3No need to respond to some moron that even has "troll" in his user name.
Move on kid, this topic is for outraged adults. - tribowl, on 03/21/2009, -0/+2You should have dealt... then you could have smoked for free and still made profit.
- scottsutherland, on 03/20/2009, -0/+2It IS about time! This is huge news, DIGG THIS!

- bgtyhn9, on 03/21/2009, -0/+0Illinois is in the process of legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes. I saw a newscast about a lady who had to walk with the assistance of a walker. She had full body pain and the only thing that helped her was marijuana. They actually showed her baking with it. It just looked really odd to see her crack open a baggy of mj like it was normal lol but hey, if it truly helps her then I am all for it.
- AgntOrnge, on 03/21/2009, -1/+1That's called a delusion. Probably will happen...
- AgntOrnge, on 03/21/2009, -4/+2No, it's really for outraged children evn if they are in the body of an adult.
- steelreserve211, on 03/20/2009, -4/+2Did someone say Marijuana Dispensers? Should I go check for one in the produce section at my grocery store? Cool!

- herobill123, on 03/20/2009, -5/+0After some 30 odd years of pot, the only thing good I can say about it is I finally woke up out of a daze, and quit. Think about it. Let's say 30 years at half a bag a week. That is about 52X1/2 =26 oz a year X30 years- 780 ozs. Divided by 16<for pot heads that's a lb.>=approximately 48 lbs.X $650.00 per lb. = $31,2000.00. <not counting a years worth of hash <<another $2,600.00>>
WOW.. I smoked up a new Corvette. Use your brain man..while you can...Smoke is for dope<s> - inactive, on 03/20/2009, -7/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlatan
