- reeder, on 10/11/2007, -6/+60But not crack, that's just crazy talk! Assassination yes, crack no, got that? They had nothing to do with crack. The CIA did not work with illegal elements to bring crack into the inner city in the 80's.
Not at all. - littlebylittle, on 10/11/2007, -2/+54Absolutely not! And they have nothing to do with worldwide distribution of Cocaine and Heroin! Got that?
- littlebylittle, on 10/11/2007, -4/+33Is was only just the one time. Just the Assassination thing. They've never worked together before or after.
- jonathansoeder, on 10/11/2007, -0/+28Just recently E Howard Hunt (CIA) signed an afidavit shortly before his death fingering LBJ in the JFK Assassination.
Like any crime you ask who benefits. The Mafia and the CIA had ***** loads to lose by Castro taking over Cuba. They attempted to assasinate him -- this is documented -- but even more important is that they succeeded in assassinating JFK when he got in th way of their plans. This was the beginning of a coup which has runned this country since and we are experiencing the worst of it today.
George H W Bush was CIA at the time ( he eventually became the director of the CIA ) the names of the ships in the bay of Pigs invasion were named after his wife and his company and were launched from one of his families oil platforms close to cuba. Prescott Bush, his close comrades who founded the CIA, Nixon, who worked for the Bush's, and as I mentioned LBJ and E Howard Hunt ( one of the watergate burglars ) are all intimately involved in this conspiracy as well as a number of others.
You can dismiss this as conspiracy theory but as time passes, things like these declassified documents further support these conclusions. The CIA is an evil organization and people closely connected with its history from the beginning have occupied and continue to occupy the highest offices in our government and financial institutions.
Sleep tight. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+29Castro is tough old bird.
- Shigatsu, on 10/11/2007, -8/+25A different Era, a different agency.
Well... They were the CIA then. They are the CIA now... doesn't that make them the Same Agency?
In 30 years, their going to feed the same ***** to our kids. That is when they'll admit 911 was a fraud. - PrincessCake, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18I thought the Mob and CIA teaming up to kill Castro was just something James Ellroy made up to write awesome books. But, nope. Real deal.
- roadtrippy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17One organized crime group working with another. Isn't that the way it's done?
- chonuts, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15It had to be FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover and Frank Costello syndicate
mouthpiece meeting in Central Park, New York weekends,
reported Time magazine
It had to be the Mafia and the CIA together starting war on Cuba,
Bay of Pigs and poison assassination headlines
It had to be dope cops in the Mafia
Who sold all their heroin in America
It had to be the FBI and organized crime working together
in cahoots against the commies
It had to be ringing on multinational cash registers
A world-wide laundry for organized criminal money
It had to be the CIA and the Mafia and the FBI together
They were bigger than Nixon
And they were bigger than war
from "Hadda Be Playing on the Jukebox" by Allen Ginsberg (1975) - InetRoadkill, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Does that mean that the CIA and the mob were also responsible for the Kennedy assasination?
- obliviousfool, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12It's not the same agency. They have much better toys these days! Not to mention they have competition from the NSA, the OSP, Mossad, and all those private groups we never hear about.
- crxvfr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12If this information has been made available, it makes you wonder what the aides that Bush protected with executive privilege know. Sometimes I think they released all this new info to diminish the wrongdoings of the Bush administration.

http://www.idfiles.com/cia-linked-to-seal-death.htm - jonathansoeder, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9The CIA have been working with the Mafia since day one and have not stopped working with The Mafia or many other non-state affiliated crime syndicates since then. Lucky Luciano went to help the CIA in Sicily immediately after World War II during their first major campaign. What did he do? He set up a drug racket. This was declassified decades ago so none of these recent releases should be a surprise to anyone who can read.
Stepped up CIA activity and Drug Smuggling have always gone hand in hand and continue to do so today. Naturally the Mafia is the best candidate to handle this side of the business and help maintain plausible deniability. In most cases, that is. There is no Tony Soprano in Afghanistan to run the heroin trade so there's other thugs like the Northern Alliance. The end result is always the same.
The point is to generate massive amounts of cash off the books to fund patently illegal operations that connect directly to the white house, and to out source it. This is practically text book at this point. The fact that drugs and prostitution demoralizes the grass roots and makes revolution an impossibility , one could argue, accidental to this fact, but this is a pretty naive argument to make. - sanman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Jack Ruby.

- lowbo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7This information about the CIA and the Mafia working together is nothing new. It has been at the 6th floor museum at the Dealey Center (place where JFK was shot) before as an exhibit and on the JFK research website.
http://www.jfk.org/Research/Cuba/Mongoose_Plots.htm - Leomarth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Governments are, and always have been, criminal organizations. They are such because they have power, and bad men are attracted to that power. However, because they are democratic, we must feel good about them because we elected them. Humans have an innate need to feel that the choices they have made are good. Therefore, in the end, we will never change how we let bad men gain power. We will only have a desire to shift that power from their special interest, to our special interest; and we will call that Democracy.
- worldinmyeyes, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6So our great govt agency (CIA) is in cahoots with the mob...which one has the bigger criminals? And people laughingly say that criminal elements of our government couldn't have been behind 9/11?
- ecorona, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I think politicians are worse than the mafia because they not only have zero empathy for their victims, but they have and use the capacity to recklessly kill hundreds of thousands of people. We humans have a long way to go up the evolutionary tree.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6This connection has been known for a long time. I even remember an X-Files episode (Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man) that touched on it ~12 years ago.
- worldinmyeyes, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7CIA proposed staging terrorist attacks INSIDE the USA in the early '60's (Operation Northwoods). Yes they run drugs in the country, yes they probably had a role in JFK's assassination, yes they topple foreign governments unfriendly to America's interests, yes they work hand in hand with the Mafia. But *NO WAY* they could be behind 9/11.
Go back to sleep, America. - Lane, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9CIA has and always will use anyone and any means to achieve their goals. it doenst matter what mob, terrorist cell, or madman they puppet along if it helps.
- siszam, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7If they did those things in the past and admit it just imagine what evil they do now. Remember that next time you call something a conspiracy theory. Especially when the info is out there and you're to lazy to look it up on Google. Alex Jones and many others have been telling you about these kinds of things for years.

- HippyInASuit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Did we notice that Operation Northwoods detailed plans to commit terrorist acts on American civilians and blame it on another entity? "But they never executed Northwoods" is the only argument I've heard against this obvious proof that our government is full of criminals. Does that make any ***** difference? You know they've considered this in the past and you have no problem with that? Damned morons.
- FuZi0nDET, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I don't know what all the fuss is about? The Federalies worked with the mob during WW2 to protect the vital shipping docs and weed out Nazis spies. Why would any one be shocked that they kept up their fruitful relationship after the war?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4who else is gonna pay for all those illegal "off the books" operations.....

- GabrielS, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Do you think the Mafia feels anything when they rub someone out? It's just 'business' to them.
You couldn't be more wrong. - Blackflower, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3American intelligence has been down with organized crime since as far back as the Second World War, when the OSS sought Mafia assistance in securing US ports under their control and in helping with the invasion of Italy. When the CIA was created after the war, it inherited - and expanded - its predecessors' participation in organized crime, becoming a major trafficker or narcotics around the globe.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_politics_of_heroin
When "The Politics of Heroin" was first set to be published over 20 years ago, the CIA attempted to buy up the entire first run of the book, at which point the publisher pointed out that if that occurred, he would simply have to print up a second run.
If you want to really get into "WTF" territory, look into Rudi Dekkers, the most-likely-a-drug-smuggler owner of the flight school in Venice, Florida where two of the 9/11 hijackers trained. - bushesbitch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3were ?

- Tweekster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3No, not really. people groomed to be in power will control the world, and you will be middle aged complaining, without a voice because no one cares what you have to say.
This concept that the new generation will totally change thing is not new. however look at the 60's what happened after that, the hippies became yuppies and forgot their ideals.
mostly, a bunch of nonhippies continued their power lineage. - Kewlduderules, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3To those who believe that the CIA was not involved with the distribution of heroin and crack in this country- YOU need to WAKE UP!!!
The CIA has a long history of drug involvement dating back to pre-CIA days where the OSS worked in close connection with the Sicilian Mafia and Corsican Mafia. The reason they did was because they knew they could work with them to get their interests persued - get rid of the Nazis and afterward, get rid of the communists. "Lucky" Luciano was very instrumental in helping the CIA in sicily, since he had a lot of influence in the region even though he was in federal prison at the time- all deals and business transactions were done through his associate- Lansky. Because of his help, the CIA was successful in overruning the Nazi and communist influence in Sicily. Hence, his sentence was commuted.
The mafias worked closely with one another to pursue their heroin trade in Afghanistan and Iran. Eventually, all processed heroin was shipped to either to the US or to East Asia.
But given mandates at the UN caused the traffic to die down in 1950's in Afghan and Iranian regions. Subsequently, the trade transferred to the Golden Triangle of Southeast Asian- which consisted of Northern Burma, Thailand, and Loas. The CIA had their hands in all of this facilitating shipments throughout Southeast Asia mainly Saigon. These reason the CIA facilitated the heroin trade (mainly through Air America) was once again to pursue their interests in the region- get rid of the communists by any means necessary. The only marketable commodity was heroin- and was quite profitable. The Vietcon saw this as the only way to buy weapons, mass armies, and buy off agents. The US government would not support them with enough money- so they did what they had to do in collaboration with the CIA. They even knew that generals and prime ministers were shipping heroin to the GI's but did not do a damn thing about it.
Oh and as for Central America, remember Iran-Contra? The CIA was involved with trafficking drugs to the USA. Again here, they either facilitated the air transport of narcotics from Nicaragua by the Contras or they turned a blind eye to the trafficking because the most important thing was getting rid of those "commie bastards" even if it meant hurting the USA in the meantime.
Now, we are Afghanistan and the increase in heroin has tripled in the region (they are probably again the center of drug trafficking nowadays). And guess, who is looking the other way- the CIA. Half of the government in Afghanistan is involved with the drug trade. Moreover, this heroin eventually ends up in Turkey where it is processed and trafficked back to Europe or the USA. The only difference here is now the MIC is profiting off of this through their weapons procurement contracts in Turkey- knowing full well that at least a third of the money is laundered through the drug trade in the region.
I say we abolish the CIA and start something new that does not involve nation building or drug trafficking. And if it does involve drug trafficking, legalize it then!!! - nickbelane, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3He's talking about Gary Webb's story "Dark Alliance". After the story ran, he was villified by the rest of the media, and his career was ruined. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Alliance
A few years later he turned up dead, but there were questions about how he died. It was ruled a suicide, but he suffered two gunshots to the head... - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2WTF is fark
