- SheilaNoya, on 01/04/2009, -13/+302Levi doesn't need a job. Bristol just got paid $300,000 for selling the first pictures of her child and over $100,000 in baby gifts. I'm sure she'll have many more offers coming from the Evangelicals who suddenly approve of teenage pregnancies and having babies out of wedlock. Bastard children are in vogue now if you're part of the religious right.
So why work when they can both just pimp out the kid for cash? - inactive, on 01/04/2009, -8/+235From the article
"Dan Fagan, who also publishes a Web site called the thealaskastandard.com, said federal regulations require all apprentices to have a high school diploma, which Johnston does not have"
and
"But Fagan questioned how Johnston gained entrance to the apprenticeship program when similar programs have long waiting lists. There are only three in the state, according to Fagan, and at least one of them has a waiting list of at least 100 people."
Looks like somebody pulled some strings somewhere. - Bloake, on 01/04/2009, -10/+142Damn, this woman's still newsworthy?!?
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -17/+145Did Palin abuse power yet again for future son-in-law? MOST LIKELY!
Do 99.9% of politicians abuse their power to help friends and family? ALL THE TIME!
I don't see why you guys seem so surprised, I mean come on, were you born yesterday? - iEATcatFOOD, on 01/04/2009, -3/+90http://digg.com/politics/Did_Palin_abuse_power_aga ...
Seriously now, Ronbry dugg that article right before he resubmitted it.
See? http://digg.com/users/Ronbry - arrogantprick, on 01/04/2009, -17/+100She's a MINF (Mom I'd Never *****)
- swrostmore, on 01/04/2009, -7/+79No more Wasilla Hilbillies in the news until 2012. GTFoff my internets.
- northwatuppa, on 01/04/2009, -6/+75I have trouble being shocked by this. It is basically politics as usual, the way it is in every state in the union. But it does make you wonder even more about all Palin's self-righteous, holier than thou rhetoric.
- greenlight2001, on 01/05/2009, -5/+64Penis. He means penis.
- o76923, on 01/05/2009, -1/+51far better was when Palin's response to the criticism was "he is working for his diploma through a correspondence program."
Last I checked working on a diploma is not the same as having a diploma. - fakekevinrose, on 01/04/2009, -7/+46Who?
- normlsparky, on 01/04/2009, -4/+43Appearances. You don't need to run out and get married when you become pregnant either, but appearances are everything to some people. I didn't get married until my son was 2 yrs old. Of course, I didn't have judgmental ***** for parents or in laws that were more concerned about their precious image than our well being.
But, what would Palin's friends think? What would they say? Unwed pregnant daughter? Jobless son in law? Oh my. The shame. - stellarceltic, on 01/04/2009, -1/+40Wow. What a douchebag.
- Garlik, on 01/04/2009, -7/+44Who gives a crap about Palin anymore?
- Pr0phecy88, on 01/04/2009, -9/+40She pulled something thicker than strings.
- keraneuology, on 01/04/2009, -18/+48Like the Kennedy klan never pulled strings for one another. Like Chelsea hasn't seen any advantages entirely based upon her genetic donor(s). Like Jessie Jackson, Jr isn't the recipient of power abuse.
- woofers07, on 01/04/2009, -7/+36MIHF (Mom I'd Hate *****)
- mdmanic, on 01/04/2009, -1/+29pretty absurd... I guess rules don't get enforced here anymore?
- drmobutu, on 01/04/2009, -3/+30Oh, Levi needs that job, all right...gotta keep the prospective in-laws pleased, for the good of everybody concerned...
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -6/+32In case you weren't actually reading, Digg submissions on Palin are pretty much exposing the skeletons in her closet. Not exactly the type of "fixation" you want for a candidate.
- xieliteix, on 01/04/2009, -10/+35who the ***** gave palin any sort of power, clearly you can see she was dropped from a building 4 minutes after her birth
- tux11, on 01/04/2009, -3/+28palin is one big goof. i'm glad she never became vp. cause chances were if she got that fra she would make the president. so happy she lost.
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -5/+28One other point; I like how you toss out the name Barack Hussein, and left off the Obama.
You aren't one of the few crazies that actually think he's an Arab, right? Right??
If you have a problem with Obama as a president, at least pick a real issue, and not some redneck propaganda claiming he's a Muslim Arab.
Also, connecting with mainstream America? I think Obama already accomplished that fairly handily. You know, with the whole winning the election thing. - simoom22, on 01/05/2009, -5/+28Having a good record from your previous prestigious private school and "daughter of the President" on your resume probably should count for more than having "dropped out of high school and knocked up the governor's daughter."
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -6/+28He still doesn't have a diploma, thereby disqualifying him. How many average dropouts would be able to walk in and say, "Oh, well, I'm working on getting my diploma, can I still get in?" Not a single one.
Unless of course your mother-in-law is governor, and former vice presidential running mate.
Nice try neocons. - IIAmusedII, on 01/04/2009, -2/+24Sarah or Bristol?
- EarlOfLade, on 01/04/2009, -5/+26You didn't know that the biblical rules do NOT apply to these people, only to the rest of us. That is why Sarah Palin has such support from religious fundies even though they themselves think women should be found in the kitchen and bedroom and not in the Congress or the White House, but again, these rules do NOT apply to the Palins. Just like the demand for fidelity did nothing to sway their votes from McCain who cheated on his disabled wife with a hot rich blond. The rules do not apply to these people, only to the rest of us...
- theexitwound, on 01/04/2009, -3/+24Surprised? Heck no. But airing all the dirty laundry is what we do to politicians we don't want in power...now, or in 4 more years.
- mbparks2, on 01/05/2009, -1/+19I find it very sad and somewhat disturbing that we as Americans are complacent with illegal activity just because "it happens everywhere" or that "everyone is doing it." Are we so partisan now that when a Republican does something illegal it's okay because Democrats always do that too? If so, we are in a death spiral to losing our identity as a country. It doesn't matter if you are black or white, red state or blue state, Christian or otherwise, gay or straight, boss man or worker bee, man or woman; a crime is a crime. We need to hold EVERYONE accountable. That is to say, if what she did is in fact illegal.
- WorldLeader, on 01/04/2009, -3/+21"thanks for keeping her name out there" WTF??
If you guys want to survive as a political party you should toss Palin under the bus and never mention her name again. She exemplifies everything that is wrong with current social conservatism. She is a hypocrite and a loser, dump her.
Then again, I would love to see Obama - Palin debates in 2012.. HAHA - gaqua, on 01/04/2009, -3/+21All it confirms is that Palin isn't the "Maverick" or "Rogue" or "Outsider" that she claims she is. She's the same corrupt politician that everybody else was.
- ASSASSYN360, on 01/05/2009, -2/+19Gotcha media!
- SystemHasFailed, on 01/04/2009, -6/+23Buried. Duplicate and because Ronbry is a Powerdoucher.
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -7/+23You have very low standards.
- Ender008, on 01/04/2009, -5/+21I wonder if people like delqueue have any idea how ridiculous they sound...
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -5/+21Oh yeah, that old chesnut.
The day that the left is scared of Palin is the day that they start believing in hell so that it can freeze over. - booksnmore4you, on 01/04/2009, -5/+20More so than any State, patronage and nepotism is how things are done in Alaska.
- WorldLeader, on 01/04/2009, -5/+20Delqueue, normally I dismiss such comments as uninformed, but you are kinda drowning in the Kool-Aid.
First, Palin is not an intelligent person. I've met her personally, and she did not strike me as an intellectual. In fact, she actually struck me as a panderer, someone trying to get people to like her. And she's good at doing that, but that's about her limit when it comes to complex reasoning. People liked Obama for his ideas. People liked Palin for her personality. Personality has nothing to do with being able to run a country successfully. You know this.
Second, Palin is not an intelligent politician. People saying that politicians do this type of thing all the time are right, but they DON'T GET CAUGHT. She has no idea how to play ball with the big boys.
Finally, people like you are her only supporters, there are not enough people who would vote for her divisive platform over a reformist platform. People just are tired of her message. - staticfire, on 01/05/2009, -6/+21Id ***** em both
At the same time - GregFD3S, on 01/05/2009, -3/+18Ex-Vice Presidential candidate lies to obtain a job for her teenage daughter's jobless and high school diplomaless bastard baby's daddy.
Religious upbringings FTW! - eddantes7, on 01/04/2009, -3/+17Lower than low...
- rowjimmy, on 01/05/2009, -0/+14if there was a well-documented case of Obama's abuse of power in the public record there's no way it could be swept under the rug; there just isn't (so far) any such case.
- Shaggy3, on 01/04/2009, -4/+18OH GEE WHAT A SUPRISE
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -6/+20Levi needs a job so that it doesn't come and bite Palin's ass back when she will run for (god protect us all) President.
- mikelieman, on 01/05/2009, -3/+17How about he MARRY THE GIRL?
It takes what? 30 minutes at city hall and 25 bucks? - tribecom, on 01/05/2009, -2/+15Which power abuse would you be referring to?
Oh yeah, there isn't one. - Dipsomaniac, on 01/05/2009, -4/+17I don't know, why don't YOU tell us how long the waiting list is and get back to us if you find that Obama's kids skipped over it?
Until then, why not have a nice hot cup of STFU? - misreto, on 01/05/2009, -3/+16You took the words right out of my mouth. Those evangelical christians can be quite the hypocrite.
