This message brought to you by Dick Cheney's America. - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -8/+71Coward runs so deeply with these losers they can't give even animals a fair chance.
The sick part is they ENJOY doing this. Shooting fish in a barrel? Right wing neocon funtime extravaganza!
What kind of cowardly ***** enjoys killing helpless things? - kbedell, on 11/15/2007, -2/+52The article says he shot like 70 birds in one trip in 2003. I mean - that's a lot of pheasants. Blasting 70 birds who can't fly or run well -- that seems like all you'd do is just sit and blast birds. Maybe I don't get how this is a 'sport'.
- Dumbledorito, on 11/15/2007, -2/+50Or someone who picks his meal out of a lobster-tank a sport fisherman.
- craprock, on 11/15/2007, -1/+39What if I don't like Dick Cheney's Ameri
- principle, on 11/15/2007, -4/+38Bush, Cheney, and the gang are the type of people who love to see others bleed. They don’t loose any sleep over misery they bring, and are proud to show off their pathological problems.
- MacEnvy, on 11/15/2007, -2/+35As an avid hunter, I'm ashamed to be lumped in with the likes of him. Rich ***** who take joy in slaughtering farm-raised animals are despicable.
- Repsac, on 11/15/2007, -3/+32If Cheney wants to shoot *****, I say put him at the front of the lines in Iraq. Let him loose out there.
- siszam, on 11/15/2007, -7/+35Vote for Kucinich. He's the only one with the guts to try to impeach Cheney.
- aldenhg, on 11/15/2007, -1/+29Guys, don't worry. Cheney 2.0 will be out in a few months and there will be HUGE improvements. He'll have a new coolant pump design (no more "heart attacks"), a solid state drive, desktop search, neat cold-cathode lights that light up whenever he ingests the blood of a fawn, an increased and unlocked FSCB (that front-side crazy bus for you n00bs) of 1.33 gigadahmers, laser eyes, a new 3D window manager and the ability to go on real hunting trips. Against dinosaurs.
- krakkinem, on 11/15/2007, -2/+29Or like calling George W. Bush a president.
- pdsoul, on 11/15/2007, -9/+35I say impeach the *****! Link didn't load though :(
- ettin, on 11/15/2007, -3/+27I wonder if cheney knows he's evil.
- berb, on 11/15/2007, -2/+26Obviously it was intended as a joke, but assassination threats have never been considered as "free speech", nor should they be. Perhaps I'm reading too deeply into this, but I would personally refrain from wishing/supporting/advocating the death of a high up U.S. politician lest you want to be gangbanged by a SWAT team in the middle of the night.
- Coven, on 11/15/2007, -3/+23Let's set him up with a canned hunt with a grizzly on steroids that hasn't been fed in a week.
And all he gets is a .22 - iceman0113, on 11/15/2007, -2/+22FTA: " They don't know how to forage or hide in the wild and sometimes have to be kicked to "fly" enough to be shot. Some hunters say shooting the pellet-ready tame animals, which offer no resistance, is like having sex with a blow-up doll. "
Pathetic. Reminds me of the question, "Would you punch a baby in the face for a million dollars?" Except in this case, Cheney would do it for free. This is not a sport, killing defenseless 70 birds is in no way a sport, it is a massacre. - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -2/+18Cheney is like the penguin as portrayed on batman returns, only less charismatic.
- SiNN4R, on 11/15/2007, -0/+15Hello federal agents.
- Divals, on 11/15/2007, -5/+19I do as well. He's a menace to society, and even when he's no longer VP he'll still be ruining the country.
- takamalak, on 11/15/2007, -4/+17You are a ***** dork.
- lhbaker, on 11/15/2007, -2/+15For all the talk about God and Bush's pandering to the Christian right, I suspect that neither Bush nor Cheney believes in any God other than the god of power. Bush is practically begging to have other human beings tortured. Cheney still lies knowingly, trying to decieve people into supporting the war. Cheney alone makes be believe in evil, but the things they've done together have caused many people to doubt God.
- TheDreadDiggerD, on 11/15/2007, -1/+14He even got one old man that couldn't fight or run well.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -2/+14Haha, I'd like to see them go ahe
- SiNN4R, on 11/15/2007, -8/+20I don't see whats wrong with this. I frequently smash baby ducklings with a hammer on my off time.
- TexTurboesq, on 11/15/2007, -8/+20I'm all for hunting. But game hunting farms is for fags. Take your rifle and go to Montana. Shots are 1000 meters +. Better yet hunt with your bow, and hunt something that can eat you, Now were talkin.
- MacEnvy, on 11/15/2007, -0/+11I'm a hunter too. If you've never heard of "canned hunts", I'd suggest you look into it. All major outdoors enthusiasts' organizations are against it (including media outlets such as "Field & Stream", "Outdoor Life", "Peterson's Hunting", "Fur, Fish, and Game", etc). It's not honorable, and it's practiced mostly by rich, soulless ***** like Mr. Cheney.
- Seeker135, on 11/15/2007, -4/+15If you eat all that you hunt and kill, you are a hunter. If you give it away, you are a phony, not a hunter, get an x-box or something. If you don't eat it or give it away, you are an armed thug, please eat your gun.
- c7hu1hu, on 11/15/2007, -1/+12This was not hunting. Canned shoots are a sad, pathetic attempt at making the appearance that one is hunting.
- Damian91, on 11/15/2007, -1/+11Don't ever let this guy get ahold of GTA. We would never see him again :( hmmm....I think I'm on to something.
- feckineejit, on 11/15/2007, -2/+12if you hunt tame cage raised pheasant you AREN'T planning on eating them all.
- Terrk, on 11/15/2007, -5/+14It's amazing how many people will buy into anything that will make DC look like a dick.
I've only been on one hunt that was remotely anything like this author says it is, and once we saw how they treated the birds, we withdrew our deposit and left.
So don't get the idea that this is how ALL Bird hunts are. Clearly the majority of diggers never have gone hunting.
Please, digg me down for knowning what the hell Im talking about. Thanks! - MacEnvy, on 11/15/2007, -6/+15Because he partakes in a terrible thing - staged killing for the sake of killing (reminds me of a certain war). I'm a hunter, but my idea of hunting is clearly quite different from Mr. Cheney's. I prefer to let animals roam free and periodically fill my freezer, with great respect to the animal. Mr. Cheney just likes to watch things die.
I guess that's why I find this story intereting. - Dumbledorito, on 11/15/2007, -3/+12He ate seventy of them?
And no, I don't begrudge him for eating meat. I just don't get how this is in any way a sport. There appears to be as much challenge involved as in trying to foil a hyperactive dog's attempt to chase a frisbee by tossing said frisbee. - siszam, on 11/15/2007, -2/+10I'm sure he knowingly gave his soul to the devil. He not only knows but he's probably very proud of being evil.
- frozenpxl, on 11/15/2007, -2/+10Congratulations, you've just been ***** up the ass by The Patriot Act.
- woofers07, on 11/15/2007, -2/+10I guess since he can't shoot old people in the face anymore, might as well switch to crippled birds.
- MacEnvy, on 11/15/2007, -1/+9I consider myself fiscally moderately conservative and socially very liberal. So to answer your question ... maybe?
- frozenpxl, on 11/15/2007, -3/+10George W. Bush.
- Dumbledorito, on 11/15/2007, -1/+8How is this "hunting?"
- 4Paws, on 11/15/2007, -12/+19***** scum piece of ***** Cheney.
I love animals so much. )': - Fieri, on 11/15/2007, -3/+10He's not a "dork." He's a traitor. Why do you defend Cheney, noone711? He's likely the worst person for the US since Kissinger.
- MacEnvy, on 11/15/2007, -2/+9Venison is also MUCH better for you than beef. Lower fat %, lower cholesterol, no synthetic hormones, and it's guaranteed to be "free range" and "organic". Unless you choose to hunt penned-in and corralled animals like Mr. Cheney.
- MacEnvy, on 11/15/2007, -1/+7It was (relatively) common for the leader of a country to lead his troops into battle, up until the last 200 years or so. At least those leaders were willing to put their own asses on the line for what they believed in, rather than our modern notion of warfare where the wealthy elite sit idly by while poor shmucks partake in the personal vendettas of the president.
- Smaulz, on 11/15/2007, -0/+6As far as I'm concerned, if you aren't hunting something that can kill you back... what's the point? Naw, I shouldn't say that. I enjoy venison as much as the next guy.
- LurkerSteve2, on 11/15/2007, -0/+6Are you implying that this is a heavily biased attack piece instead of a quality piece of journalism? For shame!
- ichbinladen, on 11/15/2007, -1/+7I'd vote for you to... to have you fed to hungry lions.
- pintomp3, on 11/15/2007, -1/+7did you pretend that placing your order was a sport?
- pseudononymist, on 11/15/2007, -1/+7Bubbleboy--this is, actually, not the best criticism we have against Cheney. It's more like... supporting evidence. You know how lawyers sometimes use indirect evidence to paint a picture of their client or the defendant? That's what this is.
