salon.com — David Brooks' column today perfectly illustrates what lies at the core of our political discourse: namely, self-loving tribalistic blindness laced with a pathological refusal to accept responsibility for one's actions.   • Occidentalist, on 11/11/2009, -2/+10Can our elites who promote multiculturalism and for whom David Brooks serves as a scribe be called "tribalistic"? Maybe, but resolving the apparent dichotomy between espousing cosmopolitan values and adhering to a tribalistic agenda isn't a distinction Greenwald bothers to clarify for his readers. I wonder whether many Salon.com readers will notice this & grasp what Greenwald is implying.
