Dems PROMISE lower gas prices if you vote for them in 2006
house.gov — What happened? I voted dem in 2006 and the gas prices went up -- why was I lied to? I want an answer. I voted specifically on this and 2 other issues and I keep hearing the dems blaming Bush without acting on any damn thing. Read the release - I saved it because I knew they were lying then and now!

- rebrad, on 07/10/2008, -3/+3I'm glad I caught that this was from 2006. Yet they still promise the same lies in 2008. Of course their rich buddies will be able to afford a new hybrid/electric/hydrogen cell car when they're forced down our throat. Us working guys will scrape to afford the gas on our over financed car that provided the money so their buds can live a carefree green life off Daddy's ill gotten gains. ***** all of them. They just want us to remain their mindless pawns filled with visions of A-Rod, Madonna and stupid reality TV. What's really sad are those that buy the lies every 2 years. Maybe they like getting it up the ass.
- wonderworm, on 07/10/2008, -4/+4The Dems haven't been able to do ***** because they barely have the senate by one seat and none if you count that Benedick Arnold- Lieberman as a republican. And they definitely do not have any VETO PROOF majorities so they can't do anything until Bush is gone. When Obama serves up a massive platter of 10 BILLION for electric cars and renewable energy credits, you better believe that OIL will begin dropping weekly. By that time the speculators who are currently pushing up prices will be are friend because they will see that Obama is serious and that OIL will finally be getting cheaper in the future. you can do your part by getting everyone you know to vote stright Democratic this november, with some choice Libertarians if they are in the mix as well.
- trekie1701, on 07/10/2008, -1/+1I was watching Cnn the other day and this one economist said that after the Olympics China will stop its subsidy of its gas to its people, making China's want of gas a lot less, which would lesson demand and theoretically lower gas prices. And I thought wouldn't that be nice, but its not gonna happen. There is really nothing the Gov't could do in the short term to make gas lower, unless they subsided it, like Mexico and China, or took over the companies, either one would never happen. What we need is a Mr. Fusion nuclear reactor to run all our cars on.
- pintomp3, on 07/10/2008, -1/+2rupert murdoch told us we would have $20/barrel oil as a result of invading iraq.
- Geiiga, on 07/10/2008, -1/+1To be fair, the Democrats finally got the bill passed (dragging the Republicans along kicking and screaming) two months ago that's going to drop gas back down to $2/gallon.
Unfortunately, it doesn't take effect until next September. So, we're screwed for another year. But if you want to know who to blame for that, look no further than the idiot in the Oval Office who has mastered the art of finding advisers even more foolish than himself. - neozeed, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2and it just proves that stupid people vote with a selfish mind, and get ***** hard in the end.
