- yocouchdigga, on 06/16/2009, -3/+255By disagreeing with the way the government or an organization is run, in an organized manner, you can be labeled a "terrorist". You can be held without trail, in the name of "national security". Call me a tin-foil-hat-wearer or what have you but that's some scary *****...
Thanks for protecting us from our rights, guaranteed by the constitution! :D
Now, if you'll excuse me, I just heard a knock at my doo - charlie6969, on 06/16/2009, -4/+137Why should we be afraid of Terrorists?
Because apparently, we ARE the Terrorists.
My bad; I thought protest was a Constitutional Right in this Country...
If they are checking me out they will be very, very bored. - inactive, on 06/16/2009, -23/+137Amerika builds more prisons than schools
Amerika builds more prisons than ANY OTHER COUNTRY per capita.
Amerika imprisons more of their citizens for non violent crimes than ANY OTHER COUNTRY per capita.
Amerika imprisons more of their citizens for victimless crimes than ANY OTHER COUNTRY per capita.
Amerika manufactures and exports more weapons than ANY OTHER COUNTRY.
Amerika spends more on its military than all other nations on Earth COMBINED.
Amerika has a military presence in almost every country on the planet.
I think its becoming obvious who the real "Terrists" are - quirkopatra, on 06/16/2009, -4/+90This means you. If you dissent and organize to protest.
Spooky. Now, if tea-partiers in the future seem suspicious or jumpy to you, you know why. - commentposted, on 06/16/2009, -3/+80The definition of terrorist seems to be getting looser by the minute.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -5/+77So I guess those protesters in Iran are some real High-Level Terrorists then.
- duggtodeath, on 06/16/2009, -1/+67By the DoD's logic, a high-level terrorist would actually be involved in politics?
- MangalaIII, on 06/16/2009, -13/+78"Terror" and "Terrorist" are no longer words with any meaning thanks to the Bush Administration.
- GeorgeWKush, on 06/16/2009, -3/+63I have an organic garden in my backward. When will I be labeled a terrorist?
- NorthMass, on 06/16/2009, -0/+53stooge4ever - He was more referring to the Patriot Act and how it gives the government power it shouldn't have.
- kevinmac22, on 06/16/2009, -1/+49"If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." - George Washington
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -4/+48great. no wonder we've been depicting overseas protesters as animalistic in the media for so long.. the fact that citizens in '***** dirt poor sub-human countries' can physically remove people from office should be a terrifying realization to politicians here. no wonder we're simply encouraged to stay home and 'write your senator or congressman'.. from the looks of things, i don't have one goddam thing in common with these corrupted asswipes.
- UTKEngineer, on 06/16/2009, -0/+42Oh..... You're in trouble. You are actively subverting the US by avoiding paying taxes on your food. You commie SOB.
- DankBuddz, on 06/16/2009, -0/+40I'm still waiting for Obama to reverse that.
Looks like I might be waiting for a long time. - stooge4ever, on 06/16/2009, -13/+50not true. i hate to say it, but you won't be held without trial or charges unless you're Muslim. For proof, I point to Scott Roeder, who killed an abortion doctor and threatened the government that there will be similar acts until it changes the law. He is being held with only charges of murder and aggravated assault.
Oh, and he was also found in the 90s with bomb-making materials in his car. But he's a white Christian, so he's okay. - Stingwolf, on 06/16/2009, -0/+36Yes, especially seeing as how he voted to extend it already. The government is not quick to give up power that it has given itself.
- JoeParanoid, on 06/16/2009, -0/+33And when you leave the people no way to petition their government for redress of grievances, what do you expect them to do? This goes beyond criminalizing free speech, it is a declaration of war.
- roho76, on 06/16/2009, -6/+39Of course the "government" is going to say the protesting against the "government" is terrorism.
I am so sick of the government encroaching on every aspect of my life. I don't need you, I don't want you, and yet there you are, ***** up my *****. Get a real job politicians. Social Security is failing because they can't keep there hands out of the cookie jar. Medicaid is failing for the same reason. Of course they want to give everybody "Free" health care, so they have another jar to eat out of. They want to play the insurance provider because it is another pile of extra cash for them to rape and pillage.
Good bye America!! - NorthMass, on 06/16/2009, -3/+35So the tea parties are low-level terrorism? This is just as ridiculous as the people who tried to paint all Muslims as terrorists.
- hiphoc, on 06/16/2009, -0/+31Acutally the Constitution just enumerated the rights that we were all born with. Rights that are inalianable, rights that were granted by our creator, rights obtained the moment we drew our first breath on this earth.
Look up legal fiction.
These cowardly lawyers that write up "arguments" to abuse us, then hide behind police, troopers, security and military are scum.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
SHALL MAKE NO LAW, SHALL MAKE NO LAW, SHALL MAKE NO LAW, SHALL MAKE NO LAW.
Just remember what Martin Luther King said. "Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal" - Homerr, on 06/16/2009, -5/+35In Amerika terrorist becomes you!
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -0/+29the government never gives up power once it has it.
- mc88, on 06/16/2009, -1/+29Liberals, Conservatives, Independents, Green Party, you had all better begin to understand it is a matter of time before the federal government alienates you and considers you a threat. Selective enforcement of laws and statutes will make examples of all groups at one time or another.
Vote every incumbent out of office, and don't vote for anyone with ties to incumbents. This is not the system our founding fathers envisioned. - dty2010, on 06/16/2009, -1/+28I wonder what the Department of Defense would say about groups who discourage people from exercising their constitutional rights.
- lostinseganet, on 06/16/2009, -0/+26Yea he is white and that helps.
- tgc1, on 06/16/2009, -5/+31You guys satisfied now that the "tin foil hat wearing moon bat" people are not insane? You guys better sober up, 'cause this ***** is going to get ugly REALLY quick. Conspiracy my ass, these government cabals are out to ***** us all. The government has shot people in the past for protesting (See: Kent State Shootings). I've seen them calling in swat teams and riot police who use flash grenades, tear gas and laugh when they shoot women in the face with rubber bullets. The police taser people to death, shoot people to death for no reason (BART incident in California). If you think the government still works for the people YOU'RE THE ONE who is insane.
What the ***** are we going to do? I knew there was a reason for all those FEMA camps being set up. Pretty soon we'll all be terrorists in those camps. You'll see.
Imagine how George Washington and his kind would be viewed today by the Government. They'd be terrorists too. More than likely would have been shot by now.
USSA - bfogarty27, on 06/16/2009, -0/+25thats the kind of attitude we gotta get rid of and support the people over there who dont want to be treated like sheep
- NorthMass, on 06/16/2009, -8/+32Well now the left is using the term just as loosely as the right did. Both sides have played into this fearmongering.
- Ebacherville, on 06/16/2009, -1/+22the water is near boiling now isn't it fellow frogs in the pot?
- bfogarty27, on 06/16/2009, -1/+21well he believes in god not allah so hes a better person obviously
- commentposted, on 06/16/2009, -0/+20Unless they label you as a terrorist, strip your rights, and take you away, hoho, heehee, haha, to the funny farm, where...
- stooge4ever, on 06/16/2009, -2/+22Yesterday. You're coming with me.
- jcastillo81, on 06/16/2009, -2/+21I'm sure glad Obama is here to change everything that Bush didohwaithe'sexacltythesame... D'oh.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -3/+22that's still pretty ***** close.
and by ***** close, i mean we spend wayyyyyy too much on our military. spending all our money on the military isn't going to make up for the 2nd rate country we're becoming. - tkeajax, on 06/16/2009, -0/+19I am a low level terrorist and will be till I die, by this rational.
- Colecoman1982, on 06/16/2009, -0/+18And, that is part of the problem, not an excuse of any kind.
- BelXul, on 06/16/2009, -0/+18Reeks of? Sure, I can understand why anyone would say that, however this isn't something coming from the 'paranoid fringe'. The ACLU has been on this particular matter for quite some time now but the fruits of their search for document releases from FOIA requests and numerous letters pressuring different departments and agencies has uncovered this little nugget of information: Protesters ARE low-level terrorists.
This is even an answer on a test that DoD employeers are taking now.
Hell, I should read this particular article now to see if there's any new information about it.
Edit: Yeah, this is about exactly what I was mentioning. - kemp34, on 06/16/2009, -0/+18At the subconscious level, the people writing these crazy government reports realize properly that THEY are the actual terrorists.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -2/+19They are patriotic, taser loving, Americans let me tell you what.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -0/+17Anybody who actually cares enough about the country to be involved in a protest already knows that the government is not down with dissenting view points.
Free speech zone MY ASS. - mc88, on 06/16/2009, -0/+16Vague language leads to overly broad enforcement.
- kbillar, on 06/16/2009, -3/+19@charlie6969 I always have this picture in my head of a CIA agent being forced to listen in on my phone conversations about Star Wars, sewing projects, and my kittens...poor bastard.
- tgc1, on 06/16/2009, -1/+17They might be bored with you, but that's not the point. The potential prison bond on your head is worth a lot of money. Ie. 100k+ per year. Thats why the prison industry in the united states is HUGE business.
- mc88, on 06/16/2009, -1/+16HR 875 has the vague language that will address you and your subversive "organic garden" if they DECIDE that it is not just for personal use and you may give your neighbors salmonella poisoning.
- Rainemaker, on 06/16/2009, -0/+15If you fight for your constitutional rights, the terrorists...win?
- leif777, on 06/16/2009, -0/+14I heard that surfing the internets is terrorism as well.
- JROXZ, on 06/16/2009, -0/+14Terrorism? Seriously...
Last I remember in grade school, protesting is the supreme form of exercising your constitutional freedoms...
Then again, history class also taught us that Protestantism seen much like this against the "Church". Have we really reverted to the days of absolute government? - inactive, on 06/16/2009, -1/+15Organic garden?
Buried and reported to the SS. - inactive, on 06/16/2009, -0/+13Wow politics, cut that crazy terrorist talk out.
- inactive, on 06/16/2009, -1/+14This is a continuation of policies carried over from the Bush years.
Change I can't believe in. -
