- ChuckDees, on 11/06/2009, -5/+14Ever notice that right wingers complain about the government over spending.
Yet never ask why we spend 700 billion plus a year on the military. - worldstoaster, on 11/06/2009, -0/+8This is you making a fool of yourself.
- QuietusMaximus, on 11/06/2009, -1/+6This is why the Tea Party exists. For them, fact and fiction are indistinguishable and therefore interchangeable.
- govsucks, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5Yes, I believe our military uses trojan yaks.
Once again. Serious...REALLY!? - Ghostwo, on 11/06/2009, -1/+5Do we have your permission to discuss the topic that the article satirizes?
- zoomer123, on 11/06/2009, -2/+5All of these corporations support wasteful government spending. All of whom found the wars to be extremely profitable.

RTFA - sodade, on 11/06/2009, -1/+3The real question is: what has this INSANE waste of our taxpayer money actually bought us? All I see is a long list of countries with real reasons to hate us.
- fuzzynyanko, on 11/06/2009, -0/+2Damn you Onion! I was hoping the title was real!
- Paranor01, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1Really? Mine's broken? After all the various whacked out comments govsucks has made over several months, I'm supposed to all of a sudden assume he's being "witty" ?
/* shakes head */ - BotchaMcCoola, on 11/05/2009, -7/+8I'll wager not the most wasteful ones though.
- FillBax, on 11/06/2009, -2/+3Total saved - $44,295,500,012
Ya know what Mr. President? Keep the headphones, we insist.
Total saved - $44,295,500,000
/s ...just in case - abd1231, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1The Onion wins again

- CaptOblivious, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1It wouldn't be the first time I hit the wrong button.
It probably wont be the last either.
So? - anakast, on 11/06/2009, -1/+2We've spent far more under Obama, stop trying to avoid the current issue. The biggest problem is that you liberals can't take responsibility for your own actions, you have to incessantly complain about the past.
- sgerwel1985, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1I'm not a democrat and i'm not a republican. However, both sides do have a funny thing in common... FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY!
- tgc1, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1I enjoy doing that. It's fun.
- appleseed1234, on 11/06/2009, -2/+2It's a gigantic waste of money. We're in no mortal danger and we spend more than the rest of the world combined, the military-industrial complex is working for the sake of the military-industrial complex. There's no reason to be spending almost a trillion dollars with so few physical threats to this country.
It should be deactivated as it was during the inter-war period, put that money somewhere useful, and use what's left to ensure a speedy reactivation of the war machine if say, I don't know, we're actually in danger, so it can be put to use and maybe spur the economy. - stabile007, on 11/06/2009, -4/+4O-N-I-O-N
Meaning its a satire article..... - sabre307, on 11/06/2009, -3/+3It's already been said, but let me echo it. The Onion doesn't do serious articles, they make up stories that are satire. Please stop having a serious conversation over a joke article!
- Ghostalker, on 11/06/2009, -1/+1They might never ask, but I can name lots of other groups who do.
- CaptOblivious, on 11/06/2009, -10/+10I'll wager you, BotchaMcCoola that you aren't smart enough to have read the original article!
HA! I win! - djholybolt, on 11/06/2009, -1/+1Paranor01, i see that your and the other's Wit Sensors are broken.
- sgerwel1985, on 11/06/2009, -3/+2Have you ever realized that this is from "The Onion"?
- govsucks, on 11/06/2009, -9/+8The trojan yak cuts will really make a difference.
- Paranor01, on 11/06/2009, -4/+3you did notice this was from the Onion right?
sorry if it sounded like Fox, but yeah.. it's all made up just like they do it. - tgc1, on 11/06/2009, -7/+1Shouldn't the Defense Bill feature less waste by default? What the ***** is this?
"Hey look guys, we're not raping you this round... don't you feel good about that?"
"You've been raping us?"
"Ummm...." - anakast, on 11/06/2009, -14/+3Obama saving money?!? Wow, that's a firs - no wait.
- Kahnza, on 11/06/2009, -17/+3theonion? buried
