- sprucehill, on 11/11/2009, -6/+7Nothing the AARP does surprises me. It is, after all, a feather in the left wing of the Democrat Party. It collects royalties from the insurance it hawks, but most of its financing comes from the Federal Government. A much smaller amount in the form of dues from its members. I don't think most oldsters know that. When I became aware of their real operations years ago, I cancelled my membership.

However, she has been watching events unfold with me and we will be shredding our cards and sending them back. I knew they were left wing, but my wife couldn't see it, now she knows I was right. I would love to see a lot more see the light and watch them go under. I know that will not happen because there are too many sheeple in this country.
