- kalvinb, on 08/07/2008, -2/+18This is not the John McCain I knew.
- itbescott, on 08/07/2008, -2/+14I think the ad Paris made was more effective.
*Shudder* - ZenMojo, on 08/07/2008, -5/+17I have to say, they're getting really dang good at this.
- nonsequitor, on 08/07/2008, -0/+11Nor is it the John McCain I met on his 2000 Campaign trail at the US Naval Academy. 8 years ago he still had his integrity.
- Diced, on 08/07/2008, -0/+10"They can't fight Mccain on any of the issues other then to try and compare him with Bush"
Obviously, because Democrats don't win on any substantive issue polling...
http://www.gallup.com/poll/108331/Obama-Has-Edge-K ...
And aren't ten points ahead of the Republicans on a party line ticket...
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/gene ...
Plus McCain never votes the same way as the Bush Administration...
http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/is_it_true_t ... - T8erT0T, on 08/07/2008, -4/+13The DNC needs to seriously start punching with a fistful of rolled up quarters in their hand or bust out the chalk-sock because this ***** is weak. It's freaking August people, you should have been in "Choke A Bitch" mode by now.
- ousthouse, on 08/07/2008, -4/+12They should've had Kerry say "I was for John McCain before I was against him."
- TheRhinoceros, on 08/07/2008, -3/+11Great ad. It's the truth, all of it. McCain has espoused all of Bush's Policies, and all of Bush's policies Suck! From His Lack of Economic foresight, his bringing on of Paulson and Bernanke, whose complete cluelessness helped to precipitate the economic collapse we are currently going through, to his stupid war in Iraq, putting our brave soldiers in harm's way for no real reason, Bush has been wrong for America.
McCain is a fool. A stupid doddering old fool, who is a puppet, dancing at the end of Corporate America's strings.
Not that Obama or anyone else out there is perfect, or even great. Nothing could be further from the truth. But McCain is the worst of the lot.
that's my two cents.
http://election-coverage.com - Nin10dude, on 08/07/2008, -4/+12Not to imply that Obama is some demigod who is incapable of imperfection, there are plenty of other Democrats I'd rather see in his position, but seriously, it's a bit scary how McCain's stances can still be taken so seriously.
- brianary, on 08/07/2008, -0/+8"They can't fight Mccain on any of the issues other then to try and compare him with Bush"
You're missing Fox News right now! - Skywise, on 08/07/2008, -10/+16So where's the Digg post from MakiMaki of the "Dems Praise McCain" Ad? Oh wait...
- Dustin00, on 08/08/2008, -0/+5The crazy thing to me was how much better Paris is as a public speaker than McCain.
- Muncher, on 08/07/2008, -5/+9Buried for “thru.” Also for not understanding meter.
- growler1, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4Don't bother, Diced. Some people have their heads so chocked full of nonsense that no amount of logic or evidence will sway them.
- brocori, on 08/07/2008, -4/+8"it's a bit scary how McCain can still be taken so seriously."
fixed - jackspade, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Sounds like a welfare Eminem.
- FamousAnus, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Yes...yes...analogies of violence will help draw in more believers. Let me know how that works out for you.
- Sardonic2U, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Well said..... how do you spell STOOGE....oh yes M-c-C-a-i-n... McCain.
Sentence: John McCain was the name of the man leading the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse to Washington. - Lilitou, on 08/07/2008, -1/+4If you're going to be pedantic, the least you could do is a basic grammar check. The plural of "American" doesn't have an apostrophe.
- defwheezer, on 08/07/2008, -4/+7McCain's campaign has taken the same idea and given it an Internet-era twist. It also has taken the concept one step further.
People who sign up for McCain's program receive reward points each time they place a “Buried- Huffington Post Spam” or “Barack Hussein Obama” or “I’m a Democrat, but I can’t vote for Obama after FISA” or “PUMA – Just Say No” or "Why Can't Obama win?" comment on one of the listed Web sites. Racially related or Muslim related comments receive double points. - ltethe, on 08/07/2008, -3/+6Right? I voted for McCain in 2000. Maverick, reform, straight talk express, exciting ideas...
McCain 2008 is horrifying, like Daschle said, McCain 2001 wouldn't vote for McCain 2008, and neither will I. - fuzzynyanko, on 08/07/2008, -2/+4I actually liked McCain in 2000. That dude was awesome. The 2008 one... I have no idea. He seems more like Bush now.
- edyang, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2@homer: you seem to use the F word quite a bit in all your posts. Is this the side of tolerant liberalism we don't get to usually see?
And you keep saying you're going to Europe. Can you please go already?
Much as you hate it, not everyone in the country is duped by Obama's brand of socialism and racial divisiveness. - vexingmodstwo, on 08/08/2008, -2/+4McCain says boo... all the Dems jump.
- FairDinkumMate, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2Hey jabberwolf - did you get enough trolling points for a new "I love McCain" jockstrap yet?
What type of moron would seriously accuse Obama of being the one unwilling to discuss issues? Please provide an example of a recent McCain ad that discusses issues without blatantly lying or attacking Obama's character. Just ONE!
But typically for you right wing troll - you won't respond because it's much easier to be a gutless piece of crap posting rubbish than to actually support the positions or candidate that you supposedly believe in.. - jackspade, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2hella lame
- FamousAnus, on 08/07/2008, -1/+3(And yes...I do know the song. They play it to death here.)
- brianary, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1"That being said, all options are on the table."
- edyang, on 08/08/2008, -1/+2Ah, more examples of tolerant liberals. Tolerant...so long as you agree with them!
- inactive, on 08/08/2008, -2/+3"The DNC wasted no time assembling their response ... "
Regards,
Frightened Democrats - reallyandrea, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1McCain for Court Jester in '08 - John "Jester" McCain loves playing the fool.
- edyang, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Not sure why liberals again continue the need to use profanity and take the name of Jesus in vain.
And yes, in the US political spectrum he is considered very liberal. - FamousAnus, on 08/11/2008, -0/+1Actually, I think you are assuming that they are referring solely to social conservatism. I could be wrong though.
- nydwarf, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1Absolutely! I was going to say the same things. They need to go for the jugular and start putting up ads that show how senile and two face John McCain is.
- queenbee93, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Best and most appropos comment on this issue--so good, it should stand alone.
The lies, flip flops of McCain should run on the screen with this line in bold to underline this one point:
"You know, the John McCain of 2000 wouldn't' vote for this John McCain. " - FredFredrickson, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2Well I dunno about you, but I've been in "Choke A Bitch" mode since January.
- inactive, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Now that I think of it he does sound like M&M.
- FamousAnus, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1No...but I have heard of picking the words that describe what I am trying to express in the clearest way.
Now that that's out of the way...have you heard of trolling? ;) - reallyandrea, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1John "Jester" McCain LOVES playing the fool - it's the role of a lifetime for him. MCCAIN FOR COURT JESTER IN '08
- Sardonic2U, on 08/07/2008, -2/+3so what part of reality does this not reflect..... it was his reality, he chose to write about it and its not somehting that can be explained away or justified...its ***** that happened. We all seem to hold our political figures to some larger than life ideal. They are HUMAN beings who lie and pander to our ideals of who they should be..... at the end of the day we're all the same.... HUMAN. You wnat someone like you int eh White House....well here he is...you want your grandfather...he's waiting in teh wings.... we've had the village idiot for 8 years now....
- runCMD, on 08/08/2008, -1/+2This is number two of the top three reasons I split away from the DEMS this year. I cannot vote for such a bigoted hypocrite. And the people that apologize for his behaviour ... and explain it away as mere experimentation. grow up folks. Presidents SHOULD have in their innate character - the ability to judge their actions more judiciously in the hard times. When Obama was going through his greatest trial as a young man - fretting over his mixed race .. he came out hating his white side and snorting cocaine up his nose whenever he could afford it. Not the kind of man you want handling the most stressful job in the world. The insane bigotry that has flourished under his candidacy is very saddening. If you vote for a man because of his color - or against - you are a bigot. If you feel a sense of pride because someone of similar pigment might get into the white house - rather than the content of his character ... AND ability to do the job ... then you might be a bigot.
ok, ok. Not the kind of man "I" want handling the most stressful job in the world. - ajb2015, on 08/07/2008, -3/+4naw, jest yoou folks listn to meh... mr. john mcain mey not be the best choice out thar, but ah'll be daymned if ah see that muslim liberal facist negro in charge ev mah coun-try!
- ajb2015, on 08/08/2008, -1/+2sad that that is actually necessary for some people
- lebaige, on 08/07/2008, -3/+4You want to know why McCain of 2008 is not the same as McCain of 2000? Because he lost the primary in 2000 and the DNC had no reason to trash him. Now he's their competition and they are going out of their way to make every voter believe he had a brain transplant sometime in the last eight years. It's nothing but a smear campaign designed to delude voters into believing something that isn't true, capitalizing on the unpopularity of a sitting president. It wouldn't matter who won the Republican nomination, you'd be hearing the same exact song and dance out of them.
- ancientshoes, on 08/08/2008, -1/+2funny, i'm not voting for mccain because he's too liberal. go figure.
- atonalpanic, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1FamousAnus has never heard of personification.
- runCMD, on 08/08/2008, -2/+3Obama supporters are so negative.
- absurdist, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1/sarc
There, fixed that for you. - inactive, on 08/07/2008, -2/+3Better than that watch the ESHY response to Ludacris video,
