Our city’s streets, medians and off ramps are filled with trash, weeds, and graffiti. There are homeless people camped out in our parks and panhandlers at every intersection. This is the way that we’re going to welcome the righteous Democrats?
Oh, I forgot to mention the DNC is planning to warehouse the homeless during the convention. Their offering free movie and zoo passes to the homeless. Plus, opening large air conditioned auditoriums with big screen TV’s and refreshments. So, the homeless can “watch the convention”. Yeah right. They are giving the city's visible homeless population passes to the Zoo, Museums and movie theaters for the week of the convention to minimize their visibility (from the party that is all about social welfare).

Meanwhile, people who work (and pay taxes) are being inconvenienced by Light Rail and road closures that are going to add a huge mess in getting downtown. Where are my free zoo passes?!

I cant wait to walk down the pedestrian mall in central downtown during my lunch hour and see whiny protesters and support groups asking me to sign petitions to feed children in cyclone torn Burma, while children in this country are in dire need of help too.
