- DiggLive, on 01/31/2008, -6/+59Hillary is ok? OK?!?! She freaking voted for wars in Iraq and Iran, the Patriot Act, faked crying after losing Iowa to get pity, wants Michigan and Florida to count after no one else campaigned there, claims 35 years of experience when she only has 8, acts like she's winning but hasn't won a single state yet in delegates, etc. etc.
- sockpuppets, on 01/31/2008, -5/+19Craig Newmark has decidedly mediocre opinions- he's wishy-washy neutral in the cyber world and now extends that decisiveness into reality. He's a nice enough guy, but just because he was in the right place at the right time to launch an online classifieds service doesn't make his opinion overly compelling to me. Indeed, the fact that craigslist still looks like it's 1997 (in form and function) all the while scammers, harvesters and every mentally ill derelict forced out the quality craigslist users shows he's not quite keeping up with reality.
Craig's milked the "I'm not a sellout" thing. At this point I'd rather hear Kevin Rose's opinion. - HenvY, on 01/31/2008, -1/+12I think that's the most disturbing comment i've ever seen on digg. Having sex with Hilary Clinton would be like sticking your penis in a blender, or a meat grinder...but less pleasurable.
- eFiniTi, on 01/31/2008, -1/+8But he was in favor for the reauthorization of it with modifications. I'd rather support someone who wants to remove it completely. I'm not going to somewhat trust a politician with my liberties. That'd be a shame.
- Shambla, on 01/31/2008, -6/+12Protip: Patriot Act was enacted in 2001. Obama took a Senate seat in 2004.

Mint condition, never fired, still has sticker from Walmart on it. - sockpuppets, on 01/31/2008, -1/+7Why are you not supporting Hillary Clinton?
I do think she is a good candidate. I really do believe in her, but not as much as Obama.
So, you would support her if she is the nominee?
Oh, yes.
Do you like chocolate cookies?
Yes, they're good with milk.
Aren't pepperidge farms mint milanos good?
Oh, sure those are tasty too. - 0xception, on 01/31/2008, -2/+7In addition to that bit of information,
He did vote to re-authorize the act after he voted against reauthorization. The bill he actually voted for reduced the patriot act by quite a bit and put many more safe guards back in.
As for the Iraq War funding... thats a matter of opinion if that's bad, on one had your indirectly giving the Okay for the war, on the other your providing soldiers who shouldn't have to be in the midst of a political battle, w/ armor and other things they need to save lives (soldiers lives). So while funding it might be bad to some, it not like voting for the war in the first place. - sockpuppets, on 01/31/2008, -0/+5Finding a decent price on a wooden leg made it all worthwhile.
- inactive, on 01/31/2008, -2/+6Obama's okay, Hillary's a man
- trotskyist, on 01/31/2008, -1/+5Kevin has Obama listed under the candidates he supports on his profile page. :)
http://digg.com/users/kevinrose - Gabberwok, on 01/31/2008, -4/+8For sale: 1 endorsement, barely relevant. NSA.
- dball48, on 01/31/2008, -5/+8"Why are you not supporting Hillary Clinton?
I do think she is a good candidate. I really do believe in her..."
Do you really want this guy's endorsement? - civilizedevil, on 01/31/2008, -3/+6Why do these endorsements make front page? Does anybody really care who Craig Newmark votes for?
- otis12, on 01/31/2008, -3/+6Craigslist.org kicks ass until you meet the creepy person you are making the purchase from.
- rolf, on 01/31/2008, -0/+3Patriot Act Reauthorization 2006:
http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/01/clinton-s ... - inactive, on 01/31/2008, -0/+3Buried because I don't give a crap about what this guy thinks. Since when does his position as an internet entrepreneur make his endorsement important. "Holy crap CRAIG NEWMARK SUPPORTS OBAMA."
- Shuk, on 01/31/2008, -1/+4One thing I've noticed about Digg is that everyone has this outright violent hatred of Hillary Clinton. I am by no means a Clinton supporter, but this hatred seems really irrational. People seem to think that she is like Bush, but she wants the troops out, universal health care, etc. The reason why I support Obama over Clinton is because I see Clinton's desperation and mudslinging, and prefer Obama's cleaner record and mentality about politics. I don't really see any fundamental, core, ideological differences in their campaign promises. But go ahead and digg me down since I didn't call Hillary a ***** for no reason.
- leerayIG88, on 01/31/2008, -1/+3Who likes having sex on craigslist?
- Napoleone, on 01/31/2008, -0/+2Way to leave out the fact that he twice voted to reauthorize the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act. The changes he made to it were menial at best and did little in the way of protecting our rights, but certainly did much in providing him with political cover.
I guess he knew "folks" like you would go out of your way to justify his vote if he so much as offered a gesture.
The proper vote was a 'No' vote. Period. - Misinformant, on 01/31/2008, -2/+4Most polls and statistics show Hillary with the advantage. It boggles the mind.
WHAT DO THEY SEE IN HER?!
Everyone says they want change and yet nobody votes for it. - sotopheavy, on 01/31/2008, -1/+2More like having somebody stick their penis in your penis... now visualize... ugh.
- Amadeus2490, on 01/31/2008, -1/+2Hey! If a guy primarily helps closeted men in my local area meet up for risky casual sex, i'd love to know his opinion on politics!
(Come on; you know girls don't use those listings) - Nick519, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1i care. not that it's any business of yours, though.
- Nick519, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1um, craig actually works at craigslist every day -- and not just as someone ensconced in a corner office, either. if you call tech support, there's a chance that he is the one who will answer your call. say what you want about him being at the right place at the right time (jealous much?), but craig walks his talk.
- dmightx, on 09/21/2008, -0/+1Not me, but the fact that he is someone who is known is bound to be influenced by this. This is the problem with America!
- Nick519, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1holy crap -- what are you, twelve? oh wait, judging by your name, "scorpionking", i guess you are. never mind.
- xbirdmanx, on 01/31/2008, -1/+2John Kerry, Edward Kennedy, errr Craig Newmark. sure why not!
- nitsnipe, on 01/31/2008, -7/+8Obama's the *****
- Optic7, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1ENOUGH WITH THE CFR HYSTERIA. BURIED.
Show us a prominent politician who has a legitimate shot at getting the presidency who isn't a member of the CFR. - likwidfuzion, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1Is that you Lt. Dan?
- NotAChickenHawk, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1Ok, well, if I think the most important task the new President will be facing will be to run a gigantic online swapmeet whose participants are the dredge's of the Internet, then I might be interested in what the Craigslist guy has to say. Otherwise, who cares?
- jjustice, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1Haha is that headline like a sexist pun?
- sockpuppets, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1The smell of McDonalds french fries on her thighs drove me wild until I realized I was partaking of Bill Clinton's sloppy seconds.
- mywhitenoise, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1What, you're telling me you've never had a sword fight? Try it some time, you wont turn gay.
- sumo27, on 01/31/2008, -2/+2see the video of craig endorsing "da man" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7G2R_nuCnk
- swoopdog, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1thank you
- swoopdog, on 01/31/2008, -4/+4Kucinich on the Left, Paul on the Right
either one PLEASE you democrats and republicans need to get your head out of your collective asses - swoopdog, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1I would rather not, but thanks :-)
- iofthestorm, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1Well, it might be that he's just supporting the top two candidates on digg so that everyone likes him.
- Armitage, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1The same kind of idiots who voted for Bush are going to make things worse by voting for someone they know little about.
Obama = CFR. He SUPPORTS the Patriot Act. He's NOT for a limited government. He doesn't vote according to the Constitution. He's not 100% for the right to keep in bear arms.
ENOUGH WITH THE OBAMA STORIES. BURIED. - Rickler, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1They're economically left and right. But they're both libertarian on the political compass. All the mainstream candidates (obama, clinton, mccain, rom, huck are in the authoritarian sector.
- elk80, on 01/31/2008, -0/+0And then he went back to work, emailing a "BBW Incall hottie" to stop posting multiple posts.
- FinneyFincannon, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1No disrespect to Mr. List, but his still-on-the-fence endorsement pales in comparison to the one earlier this week from xkcd. His whole, "I think the future will be ok," comment at the end of his blog in addition to Obama's victory speeches made me feel like an optimist for the first time in 7 years.
- krait, on 01/31/2008, -0/+0I just found out another celebrity backs Obama ...
Wil Wheaton: Edwards is out. Move me from "Undecided" to "Obama."
http://tinyurl.com/yohp8x - jamshid, on 01/31/2008, -0/+0The world is filled with flakes, weirdos, hookers and riff-raff. If there is a system that does a better job of filtering those people out while giving everyone else the freedom to search, barter, buy, and sell, I'd sure like to see it. Craigslist was at the right place at the right time, but it also succeeded because of its openness, moderation system, and simplicity.
- sssh44, on 02/29/2008, -0/+0obama sucks and if we americans vote him in i really think the "change" won't be at all good. I mean, he's a muslim who has had interactions with the terrorist. people really do need to do their research. And I'm disappointed that the media is really keeping his crap under their hats. If it were anyone else they would have been smeared!
- sgiffy, on 01/31/2008, -1/+0Thats the problem with craigslist, you can't ***** on it without ruining your monitor. Now the Little Nickel, that keeps the sheets dry.
