- HallsOfMandos, on 10/11/2007, -5/+96How much more of this will we take? January 2009 has never seemed further away.
- reeder, on 10/11/2007, -7/+85Not a ***** chance. I'd rather die than see Bush as an American dictator, and I know the vast majority of Americans feel the same way. He's out the door.
- resta6, on 01/12/2009, -3/+67honestly how ***** up is this country, that the people are praying that their elected leader doesn't become a dictator
- redrock34, on 10/11/2007, -3/+49This government is no longer for the people.
- tallguy240, on 10/11/2007, -1/+44Mark my words. 'Something' will happen between now and the election that will turn this country into something other than it is today and it wont be the terrorists that do it. It will be under that guise but the current govt will be the culprits. Its coming - better have a plan. Like the guy above said - something smells fishy here.
- backoff34, on 10/11/2007, -3/+39I have no doubt about another attack. Every day they have a strategic move to 'support the country' in times of 'national emergency'. When you don't define what national emergency is, and then you've passed laws such as, "in the event of a national emergency, the president 'coordinates' all three branches". Or the classic "any attempt to destabilize the reconstruction efforts in Iraq will cost you your property"... it is out of ***** control. I am very rarely scared, but this is chilling. I'm getting goose bumps thinking about it.
If martial law is enacted, we are doomed. Too many people succumb to the usual terrorism lies, and will not care if the government is 'protecting' them from the terrorists. - webcure, on 10/11/2007, -4/+39People get ready. Something is starting to smell very fishy around here...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36Bush is out of control, and we the people do nothing to stop it.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+34There will be another attack - Bush's executive orders are giving him the "legal" ability to turn the US into a totalitarian state overnight, and he won't do that without assuring his ability to use them. His - or perhaps Giuliani's.
- Deliguy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+27I'm from Oregon (Defazios state) and I'm not a big conspiracy nut. But I'll testify that in Oregon we all trust him very much. When he says something is going on he's usually right. Thats why he gets reelected every term.
- weebit, on 10/11/2007, -3/+24I may get dugg down for this. But there may be some truth to all of this. If you think about it, right now there is a lot of chatter on the Internet about something fixing to happen. We have not seen this since 9/11. To have as many websites as we do right now reporting it, then some part of the conspiracy may be true. They may not have all of the facts right, but it is something that should be questioned if a event does happen.
- bluejet, on 10/11/2007, -2/+23Citizens should never fear their government. The government should fear its citizens.

http://www.911blogger.com/node/10136 - ISIfunded911, on 10/11/2007, -4/+22One word: REVOLUTION !
Easier said than done, but at least you can prepare for it: guns, ammos, food, water filters, talkie-walkies, batteries, books about guerilla warfare (plenty on emule)... Feel free to add to the list! - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+23He's in it with the Clintons. Didn't you see how Bush Sr. and Bill were buddying up last year? So, Hillary will get elected (Clinton/Obama will be the ticket), and we'll have a duopoly of powerful families running the world. They'll continue to take our civil liberties away, and then we will take it in the rump.
- 7goats, on 10/11/2007, -3/+18I am actually becoming afraid. As the end of the administration approaches, they are putting in place many crazy "I don't trust anyone but us" type laws. This is the legacy Bush is trying to save? It is time for impeachment to begin -- THIS WEEK. If Nancy needs to get out of the way, fine. I don't give a rat's ass about any of them in congress. I just want this corrupt, inept excuse of an administration that seems to only serve one person's delusion of total war and absolute secrecy.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17A plan for protecting trade after terrorism -- LA Times, July 21
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-security21jul21,1,1472957.story?ctrack=3&cset=true
Flanked by lawmakers and law enforcement authorities at a fire station at the Port of Los Angeles, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff on Friday unveiled a new strategy for the rapid resumption of trade after a terrorist attack at a major U.S. port.
In his third visit to the Los Angeles-Long Beach port complex, Chertoff said that countering the threat of nuclear terrorism was a priority. - Bigboomer223, on 10/11/2007, -9/+23Only Ron Paul will end all of this. All other Candidates will just continue this *****
- Darel99, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15As a GOP member I must confirm I do not and repeat do not in any way support Bush/Cheney... They lied to both parties but whats most important to realize is that they lied to you! Impeach Bush/Cheney while their is still time. We must hold Congress accountable and anyone else who has failed
- rhabd0mancer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Indeed, Bush is clearly unstable, perhaps even messianic. He's desperately trying to bring about the Battle of Har-mageddon. Only then can the Lord Jebus Christ return to earth and rule for a thousand years.
- ISIfunded911, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14That may well be a Freudian slip, which means that is what he really knows and believes, and tried to hide consciously...but the unconscious is stronger, and made him say the whole truth. This guy is a huge liar, and spends a lot of energy lying, but sometimes his mind is tired of all these efforts and the truth unconsciously slips in.
- Albionshores, on 10/11/2007, -3/+15Non-violent civil disobendience. If you don't comply but refuse to fight then the military/police made up of Americans will not be able to justify physical suppression and nobody can govern when there is no-one to govern.
The title of president or dictator only exists when there is someone to preside over or someone to dictate to.

- obliviousfool, on 10/11/2007, -4/+15"elected" leader!
- Jeveran, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12I wonder how many secret executive orders Cheney signed during his 2 hours of presidentiality.
- generalloy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12TJATL: here is the original source of this submitted article, from The Oregonian. Doesn't look like a nut site to me.

- EarlOfLade, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11So... Don't like it? Use your beloved 2nd amendment and overthrow the damn idiots. But I suspect the 2nd is just a bad excuse to own some shiny guns.
- BelXul, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Things have been fishy here for a very long time, actually. Think about this for a moment. Right after the 9/11 attack happened, everybody was assured that if we change our way of life, our way of thinking, if we become scared of our own shadows whenever something bad happens, then the terrorists have already won. The knee jerk reactions that people responded with back then were a sign that the real terrorists already did.
So tell me, who benefitted from passing the Patriot Act? The two biggest opponents of said act (Leahy and Daschle) both received a flesh eating bacteria in the mail. The FBI traced the source of it to a bioweapons lab in Ft. Detrick, MD, initially fingered a guy who was Musilm, and eventually dropped the case because there was nothing supporting the allegations whatsoever. After that, the case went cold. So, does anybody think that Osama and Al Queda sent the opponents of legislation that would tighten control and expand government powers some Anthrax from a high security US bio-weapons lab? I can tell you this. The people who did such a thing are within US borders, and I can assure you the people who sent anthrax are the real terrorists I referred to above. - ISIfunded911, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10That is why you must smash your TV screen now if you want to be sure you do not become a sheeple yourself in case of a new, nuclear 9/11 for example. And convince as many people as you can to get rid of their TVs, by giving them DVDs, books, photocopies of good articles criticizing the media. Being pessimistic is the right position only if at the same time you actively try to prevent your pessimistic predictions from happening. If you do nothing, then you are merely nihilistic.
- Darel99, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9I agree 1000%
- ISIfunded911, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9You learned little from what happened during the last few years: the media you trust lied to you every day, but you are too confomistic to trust any other media. It is high time that you smashed your lying TV screen and start reading books about the media; go to a good bookshop or library, and pick up something by Chomsky for example. You have to break away from the matrix now! If you wait for a new 9/11, you will get totally hypnotized by the lies of a dictatorship, especially if that new 9/11 is nuclear: TV will manipulate your emotions very easily and you will obey like a puppet. You must find independent media you can trust now before it is too late. Maye your entire life depends on it!
- dodus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Does anybody have this Digg problem (not happening in this thread yet) where when you click on the link to see the rest of the discussions, you only get like two, or four, or five more posts? And after there's 50 discussions, if you don't do a threaded comment, it pretty much just disappears into the black hole void of "It's down there somewhere, but Digg is only going to show you posts 51-53 so you'll never see it again." Anyone know what I'm talking about? Sorry for being off-topic, but it's driving me nuts.
- jugger74, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8You have to ask how f'd up the country is "take a look around you boy, It's bound to scare you boy. can't you see we're on the eve of destruction?". The government has us all trained the proof of that is right here thousands of people sitting here typing out their frustrations nit picking at each other like a bunch of timid little children hiding behind our keyboards while they do their damnedest to destroy the world in the name of the American people. Every single one of us could be doing something that could really make a difference and yet we don't. Why? Simple they have fooled us into believing that we have no power. The exact opposite is true the people have all the power we have just been trained to without question hand it over to the government. If people were to realize this and take their power back this world would be a completely different place. How many people out of the 300 million that live in the U.S. would it take to march on the capital or stage multiple simultaneous demonstrations to get the troops home or stop Bush from preemptively attacking Iran or any of the literally dozens of illegal things this government is currently doing at home and abroad. But instead we sit in our houses typing questions about why are we so ineffectual as a society. Don't you see the irony?? STOP TYPING GO DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THINGS NOW!!!
- jugger74, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11The only intelligent choice is Ron Paul do your research don't just hate because you see the rampant support for him online. You will find that if you have any of the ideals that are in line with what America was based on he will truly appeal to you.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9We are doing something about it. We are simmering and growing our anger.
Pretty soon, we'll boil over and the world will know it. - Fallout911, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Kick ALL of the ***** out!
Give the power back to the people!
http://ni4d.us/ - sooperdooper, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8I'm afraid you're right. It doesn't seem like any of the other candidates are even paying attention to all the things Bush has done that need to be reversed. On the other hand, I'm going to have to assume that Paul will merely move in a different direction rather than focus on wiping out Bush's "legacy."
- qbproger, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10Who will push him out?
The Democrats turned out to be a bunch of pussies. More worried about their political agenda than our government.
The Republicans don't have the backbone to break party lines. - crweaks23, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9lol... I agree his post is way out there... but if I'm to judge who the "freak" is between your two posts, I wouldn't be choosing his. Not that you don't seem like an intelligent, level headed person... (sarcasm)
- zebbie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7You had the reichstag fire 6 years ago - it was the thing that made Bush seem something other than an idiot on a semi permanent golfing holiday.
- Qeveren, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6They'll just instigate violence themselves and make you look responsible, -then- beat you down.
- theelectricafro, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Soliciting illicit illegal drugs over any method of communication in the United States is a felony. You sir are a terrorist.
- iainc, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11Sounds like you people need to be OFF Digg and marching on the streets of the Capitol, in large numbers, letting Caesar know what you think of him. If you won't defend your beloved constitution, don't expect him to do it: to him, it's "just a god-damned piece of paper."
Sounds like America, land of the free, needs another revolution ... for pity's sake get of your asses and take your country back - zebbie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8I'm going for pre election so el presidente can stay in power.
- dodus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6So it's not just me...*****! Yeah I'm running FF on a Mac. Internet explorer too? *****. I've left comments, the Comment Checker shows that people have replied, but I can't get down to my comments OR the replies.
- abburdlen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6But the lack of a workable plan doesn't mean they aren't stupid enough to try.
- conna, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Happens to me quite often. I wish the old style could be brought back. Many times I have left comments 50+ deep and never get displayed. Happens in IE and FF. Happens on another computer of mine also.
- satx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6The scariest part is all the people that still support the administration unconditionally in all its measures to "make us safe from terrorists". This is the crowd that posts on here sometimes and says "Oh, yeah, if you don't like it why don't you go live in Iraq, you commie!" Of course, these are not intelligent people by any means but there's a lot of them...
