- gbates31, on 07/17/2008, -7/+135Isn't this obviously just smoke and mirrors? Congress' approval rating is lower than AIDS and Satan so they have to do SOMETHING to distract the public from their own shortcomings. Same thing goes for Pelosi calling Bush a failure. Seriously, wtf?! Coming from her? This ***** is a full-blown circus.
- ordig, on 07/18/2008, -5/+96Seriously
no. of people in congress:
435
no. of testicles in congress:
2 (beach ball sized ones) belonging to Dennis Kucinich. - tillerman00, on 07/17/2008, -14/+105Make no mistake, this is the result of one man's will undeterred against an entire Establishment dead-set in thwarting him: Dennis J. Kucinich.
- dreamtiger, on 07/17/2008, -17/+95It's about frikkin' time!
- ChristPissed, on 07/17/2008, -20/+63Is this the sound of spines growing and gonads spontaneously appearing? Sounds exciting.
- tillerman00, on 07/18/2008, -1/+38He has his trousers tailor-made to contain his irregularly enormous nutsac.
- Firehed, on 07/18/2008, -2/+31It's sad that trying to have the constitution upheld takes a massive set of stones these days. This country really went to *****.
- fleischner, on 07/18/2008, -11/+37And on and on the Democrat masturbation goes...
Your tax dollars at work. - Screwy1138, on 07/18/2008, -4/+24Conyers is a attention seeker. He does nothing he has a history of this. I'm sorry he's from my state.
- rottencod, on 07/18/2008, -2/+21This is just the Democratic Party trying hard to blow another election.
- inactive, on 07/18/2008, -5/+23hey Conyers, thanks for showing your virtual balls on this, they almost look like the real thing, totally fooled me. oh i love a good dog and pony show. worthless spineless man, you used to be a beacon of integrity, but those days are long gone. wring your hands for the camera please!!
- emgeller, on 07/17/2008, -18/+35Congressional Oversight Boner!
- Bastet62, on 07/17/2008, -17/+34Let's hope this actually turns into something more than the rest of the BS inquiries and investigations and subpoenas which have been ignored etc... let's hope this is not just a big fake show to appease the pro-impeachment movement into shutting up long enough for Bush to bomb Iran and declare martial law etc etc etc etc.......
- therightside, on 07/18/2008, -5/+21Ha nothings ever going to come of it.
- 180andback, on 07/18/2008, -0/+15One would hope, but a realistic appraisal would seem to indicate it's only your imagination.
- onwardknave, on 07/18/2008, -0/+14No, the Dems are just keeping enough buzz about impeachment going among their base to keep Obama rolling into November. Meanwhile, the independent voters aren't scared enough about the wishy-washy Conyers (kept in line by Pelosi) to warrant any vote-threatening backlash. This stance carries no risk for the Dems. They won't need to decide after November even if Obama wins -- they can just claim "it's in the past, now... why dig up old wounds for the country?" No new spines, sorry. Business as usual.
- UtahApocalyse, on 07/18/2008, -1/+15ahhh election season.
- kingUssop, on 07/18/2008, -2/+16Go to hell Conyers, you've screwed up everything you're in charge of right now. You and Pelosi should get a nice little wall to live in in some Republican's house after this, you can knick cheese at night and live the good life.
- roddack, on 07/18/2008, -4/+17Way to take action congress.....in an election year.....heck maybe this can boost your ratings back to double digets
- UTKEngineer, on 07/18/2008, -5/+17Nice to see that congress doesn't have anything more important to do than ineffectual saber rattling at a lame duck president.
- WiretapStudios, on 07/18/2008, -2/+14According to my sources however, Satan has a higher approval rating than Bush.
- lgfaphile, on 07/18/2008, -9/+21Conyers is a reprehensible hack whose past hearings guest lists have included some of the most anti-American and bigoted people ever to roam Washington's corridors.Buried simply because he is such a jackass (no pun intended).
- ShisouKen, on 07/18/2008, -3/+15lol NOTHING will come of this. Conyers is a spinless twit and this is just to appease the masses...
If he had any notion of impeaching this schmuck and throwing him and his cronies into jail, it would have happend already. - inactive, on 07/18/2008, -4/+16dog and pony show
- Groovydoo, on 07/18/2008, -1/+13Where were they 7 months ago? No, wait! Where were they 7 years ago? Hey congress the horse escaped 7 years ago and now you're shutting the barn door?
- PuterPrsn, on 07/18/2008, -7/+18This is what I'm paying them for? When his term is up in less than 6 months? I think NOT! There's nothing there but air, and no reasoning whatsoever. Like every tinpot dictator pointing at the "imperialistic USA" (like we've actually WANT their piss-ant country).
What a waste of time and hot air. What a bombast. Just to get his name in the papers. - inactive, on 07/18/2008, -0/+11so sad, SO TRUE!!!!!!!!
- OliveStreet, on 07/18/2008, -6/+16Except for Dennis K., this is all talk. If they were serious, gunfire would be involved. It's all posturing.
- Neo829, on 07/18/2008, -1/+10Bush's approval rating is better than that of Congress right now.
- yerbestfrend12, on 07/18/2008, -1/+9There are 535 people in congress.
- inactive, on 07/18/2008, -1/+9I agree. Too late, I still hate this lying ***** Congress.
- inactive, on 07/18/2008, -3/+10Imagine if they spent just as much time actually WORKING instead of bringing up utter ***** hearings, what could be done?
- PleaseJustDie, on 07/18/2008, -0/+7Satan for Congress!
I'd vote for him. At least I know what I'm getting. - PleaseJustDie, on 07/18/2008, -0/+7Or anything else they promised to do.
- Dalhectar, on 07/18/2008, -0/+6@kalvinb
Instead of sounding tough with "legal responses"... how about just standing up to him when he wants to pass crap like FISA? - TheMajikMan, on 07/18/2008, -3/+9Does anyone else always think of the Simpsons when they see (D-OH) after Kucinich's name? Not that I don't like the guy, I have a ton of respect for him, but it's just funny to me every time I see it.
- inactive, on 07/18/2008, -4/+10If you are on myspace, then this article probably doesn't concern you,go back to your mtv.com homepage.
- 180andback, on 07/18/2008, -1/+7All outside links do that. It's not a vast ring wing conspiracy instituted by Rupert Murdoch. It's to prevent phishing.
- bjornski, on 07/18/2008, -0/+6Maybe that's what his insanely hot wife sees in him.
Elizabeth for First Lady! - inactive, on 07/18/2008, -1/+7Will they also be investigating why Congress has done not one thing in terms of pushing back?
- nblsavage, on 07/18/2008, -0/+6really, not letting people have their day in court...Bush should be used to that.
- Xopl, on 07/18/2008, -0/+6If people drove to DC for this event, and demonstrated, something might come of the hearing.
People have organized massive anti-war protests in DC. There should be a movement for a massive pro-impeachment rally in DC on this day.
Anybody planning on going? Reply here.
Of course, given Pelosi and Reid's culpability in torture and domestic spying, I'd say a better movement would be for voting them out of their jobs at this point. - inboxnews, on 07/18/2008, -2/+7"A hearing..." Just words.
- rearlgrant, on 07/18/2008, -0/+5How much did Kenneth Starr spend. I wouldn't mind having some of that money back...
- yngtimmy, on 07/18/2008, -5/+10How about they freaking meet and talk about the effing congressional ban on oil drilling off the intercontinental shelf and in anwr?? Or mabe meet and fix immigration??? You know, things that are time critical?
- kalvinb, on 07/18/2008, -4/+9Maybe congress should worry about doing things that people care about.
- ninjaface, on 07/18/2008, -2/+7Conyers and Pelosi are half as useful as a paperweight. I truly hope that they don't squander this opportunity for accountability. My faith in them is nil.
- PhantomRogue, on 07/18/2008, -0/+5A free carrot is only free to the donkey chasing it. The guy standing off to the side, see's how foolish the ass is thats chasing the free carrot.
We are the people standing to the side. We see how stupid this actually is. As stated, nothing will ever come out of this, our government promises action, but relishes in the futility of their job descriptions. - GorfTron, on 07/18/2008, -2/+6Congress is impotent. Next subject.
- dondara, on 07/18/2008, -3/+7And more childish name calling by another fascist.
