- sonofthebrave, on 05/04/2008, -2/+6Your a FOOL chicofaraby if you believe that nationalizing any industry in the USA would be great. Government is not your friend and the bigger it gets the more dangerous and evil it becomes. That is why our Founding Fathers provided us with a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy as many Americans believe. Take a look at Social Security (FDR socialist program) that is bankrupt and a complete failure.
- inactive, on 05/05/2008, -1/+3I've never understood why the ultra right wing loonies think that government is bad. Government isn't bad. Bad government is bad. We've had bad government for the last 4 decades because we keep electing crappy, right wing governments. Unlike corporations, if we voters don't like our government, we CAN change it. But voting for any of the three right wingers in the running today isn't going to change anything.
"Take a look at Social Security"
Completely successful. It still works great after 70 years. It's neither failed nor is it bankrupt. You are simply wrong. In fact you seem stupid, judging by your inability to use the "reply" feature here on Digg... not to mention using the wrong form of "you're."
One last thing, the fact that the USA is a constitutional republic doesn't mean it's not a democracy. It's both. - inactive, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2That's why I put that info right below the article. I didn't write the article so felt I should not change the title. Feel free to re-post with another title. I thought about when I posted the digg.

Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect
http://www.globalcentrer2p.org/
* The primary responsibility to protect populations from human-made catastrophe lies with the state itself.
* When a state fails to meet that responsibility, either through incapacity or ill-will, then the responsibility to protect shifts to the international community.
* This responsibility must be exercised by diplomatic, legal, and other peaceful measures and, as a last resort, through military force.
Welcome to One World Government. Keep your power dry! - inactive, on 05/04/2008, -3/+4google Agenda 21. You will find the UN website and lots more
- inactive, on 05/04/2008, -3/+4THEY ARE NOW STEALING OUR WATER! It just never ends
We must take action now! Contact everyone you know, far and wide, and ALL contact their representatives!
The debate, however, is not about the merits of socialism over capitalism and free markets; the debate is about water. The bill will give to the federal government control over all water in the United States, and control over all "… activities affecting these waters." - inactive, on 05/04/2008, -4/+5Wouldn't it be great if Congress actually did start nationalizing some industries? The health care insurance industry should be first to bring us up to the level of a civilized nation. The broadcasters should be next.
I always read these "socialism" stories but it usually turns out to be more right wing nonsense like this one. This has nothing to do with actual socialism. - dugdiggsdigg, on 05/06/2008, -0/+1Agenda 21 being implemented right in front of all of our faces.

This is a declaration from the international community, they will invade if sovereign states does comply with international consensus. Welcome to the one world government. - john2kdiggs, on 05/04/2008, -3/+3The title and description of this digg should be updated to accurately depict the content of the article. There are many people, often referred to as the sheeple, who we need to reach with information such as this. If people knew from the title and description that the federal government is attempting to take ownership/control of all privately owned, state and local water sources then they might become concerned about it.
- mizrae, on 05/04/2008, -3/+2My guess is, by the time they've taken control of the water supply, they will take our guns too!
