- bratpack8, on 10/28/2007, -2/+2It is a very good book, but it was also very painful to read some of it, as Perkin's economic ignorance is enormous. For a guy who's title included the word Economics, he even admits he had zero training in the dismal science, and it shows throughout the book. Even so, it is a great read as it clearly shows how we have been using economic policies (basically socialistic ones) to build our empire.
- thecoolestguy, on 10/28/2007, -4/+4His rhetoric is very similar to Ron Paul's. Note his continual reference to "the empire", something you hear Ron Paul often saying.
If Ron Paul is elected, all of these international government banks like the World Bank that grant these loans to 3rd world nations will be eliminated.
