- EnviroChem, on 05/22/2009, -3/+15Instead of instantly digging every Huffington Post article (especially when they are a short description of someone else's article, how about we Digg the original article instead? In this case, instead of digging this article, we should be digging http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Co_chair_of_Clin ... which links to http://www.mcclatchydc.com/251/story/38408.html
- jforjools, on 05/25/2008, -3/+12Wow, a superdelegate super-get. Not just any anonymous Clinton supporter switching sides. Awesome!!
- smacksaw, on 05/25/2008, -2/+11Que bueno.
- womensgroup, on 05/25/2008, -8/+16Wow - You are a very wise men. After Hillary's disgusting comments about Assinations,
you and every superdelegate are quietly letting her know that she has gone too far.
Where are the other supers? - jayrok, on 05/25/2008, -0/+8Dios mio
- thirdcoastborn, on 05/25/2008, -6/+12Obama will get the latino vote over McCain.
- zephyr42, on 05/25/2008, -1/+5... then do something instead of being Mr Anon commenting on stories on a social networking site.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -1/+5they would vote in Stalin if he was running (really)
- Barackalypse, on 05/25/2008, -2/+5That's the kind of loyalty the Democratic party seems to exude, what with the abject failure of the 110th Democratic Congress to end the Iraq war and restrain the erosion of our civil rights which I believe were cited as major reasons by many of the people who elected them.
- sevenvt, on 05/25/2008, -2/+5shouldn't everyone at this point just ignore hillary instead of writing old news? I mean... unless she has obama killed we can just kick back and wait for november really, regardless of how long she thinks the fight must go on.
- Lazydriver, on 05/25/2008, -0/+3Latinos will fold because of Obama's immigration program.
If they don't, then they're a bunch of ***** idiots. - inactive, on 05/25/2008, -3/+5Florida Cubans aren't real hispanics.
In any case, McCain has to walk a fine line between using his immigration reform legacy to attract hispanics and downplaying it to rally the xenophobic republican base. Sucks to be a republican these days. - flashback99, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2buried as spam
- armorking, on 05/25/2008, -3/+5It's about time...essay!
But seriously, Hispanics are realizing that Obama will be the front-runner and Obama will definitely need all the support he can get from the Hispanic community when November comes around. - chaosium, on 05/25/2008, -0/+2The young 2nd/3rd gen Cubans in Miami, however are increasingly Dem. The hardcore Rep base is dying off.
- slayerab, on 05/25/2008, -3/+5I don't understand what all the big uproar is about. As if democrats who supported Hillary before aren't going to support Obama now. While the Hillary voters would have liked HIllary to get the nomination, they aren't like the Obama nuts who believe theres some transcendental difference between the two, while there isn't much difference between them. Get this ***** off of the front page.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -1/+3That's because he was running against Shrillary, not McCain. Latinos recognize the difference betweena guy like obama and the homeboys in the hood.

Furthermore, Obama will get endorsements from high profile latinos like Antonio Villaraigosa and fatass Bill Richardson. And of McCain makes a play for the latino vote he will lose a big chunk of the racist republican base. He will almost certainly kow-tow to the radical minutemen wing of the party, which has no chance of defecting of Obama and need only be convinced to show up on voting day, rather than forsake their support altogether and attempt to woo hispanics away from Obama on account of his race.
In any case, it doesn't matter because McCain is already *****. SUSA and other relatively reliable pollsters show Obama leading him by 7-8 points in Pennsylvania AND Ohio AND Virginia. McCain can win 99% of the vote in Florida and he'll still wind up spending 2009 in a nursing home instead of the oval office.cist republican base. - JPOOPOO, on 05/25/2008, -1/+2You'll really show digg who is who then
- stonewaljacksn, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1ahaha very good post. the comments from humptyz and FrenchAnarchy show how goddamn annoyingly blind and intentionally ignorant the digg democrats are making themselves.
and I say that as a liberal. not a democrat, though I've supported them until realizing how spineless they are, but as a liberal.
btw, French, how many votes have been cast? All the sudden you enlightened leftists believe in polls?...only when they are in your favor right? - FrenchAnarchy, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1Oh, yes, silly me for using "polls" and "facts".
- yaphi, on 05/25/2008, -3/+4That makes you an idiot. You're thinking of changing your opinion because of digg? Don't have children ok?
- chaosium, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1"You underestimate how much many Hispanics hate/distrust black people. Blacks and Hispanics, particularly in poor urban areas, really do not get along at all."
He's neither poor nor "urban". - sevenvt, on 05/25/2008, -1/+2Polls in my state showed more obama would vote hillary than the other way around, but then again hillary didnt win in my state. I'm sure i'm not up onthe numbers lately.
I probably wouldn't vote, so you hit the nail on the head with me at least. - offthewagon, on 05/25/2008, -2/+3In a vacuum, all choices are good choices. Since all the candidates suck, any reason for choosing one over another is a good one.
- sevenvt, on 05/25/2008, -2/+3Only the old cronies who aren't going to pee themselves and vote republican when she doesnt win.. oh irony.
- flashback99, on 05/25/2008, -2/+3Because it's got to be fake when it's good news about Obama, right?
*Dammit, why doesn't reality reflect the republican way of thinking..why?...* - azpat, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1Isn't Huffpo the place that broked the "bitter" story?
- JLSN, on 05/25/2008, -3/+4This is now a lose lose situation. If the superdelegates chose to give it to Clinton, African Americans would feel disenfranchised and Clinton would lose. It seems obvious that Obama will lose as he doesn't rate in the rust belt or Florida. Winning in Colorado and Nevada will not make up for losing in the rust belt and Florida. Obama's own best case scenario shows he will lose to McCain by a few electoral votes. Look, the supers were created to keep the McGovern, Dukakis, and Obama types out. We democrats are just to idealistic and we lose sight of what is really important, which in this case is winning and undoing the mess of President A.E. Bush. Progress is slow. In the 80's Ferraro was rejected with Mondale. Now we are going to have either a black or a female candidate. That is great, we are the progressive party. However, the last time I checked 1/2 the population is female but 1/2 of us are not black. Race and gender is an issue in this, and I think there are more racists than sexists at this point. Look at what the republicans have done, they have chosen wisely, they have chosen a maverick instead of a Jesus freak because they are playing to win. We are playing to lose.
- FrenchAnarchy, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1Why?
- HellDonut, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1This I can respect: one man who pledges allegiance to truth and to the future of his country instead of some delusional candidate who only thinks about herself.
Of course, that won't stop some zealot supporters from crying "Judas!" all again. - mnky9800n, on 05/25/2008, -1/+2I always remember as there are two asses in the word. ASS ASS ination.
- jpstanle, on 05/25/2008, -1/+2You underestimate how much many Hispanics hate/distrust black people. Blacks and Hispanics, particularly in poor urban areas, really do not get along at all. Also remember that much of the latino population have strong Catholic backgrounds and are deeply religious... this tends to lead toward right-leaning political views. You can't assume that minority always means left/liberal/Democrat.
- JLSN, on 05/25/2008, -0/+1The discussion on Ohio and Florida on CNN yesterday did not instill confidence. Tell me what poll/map you are referring to.
- inactive, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1does not matter anyway - right after McCain takes the oath of office he will "faint" and we will then learn that his cancer is actually back... then Romney will be prez
- Tomboys, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1Hillay haters and haters of her supporters will not win the votes Obama desperately needs in November. I suggest all you Hillary haters stop with the criticisms and insults or I guarantee you your beloved will lose come November.
- azpat, on 05/26/2008, -0/+1Yeah, the polls I saw showed the opposite as well. Clinton sites were even citing that as reason that Obama should lose because Hillary was more electable because more democrats were unwilling to vote for Obama should Clinton lose than the other way around. Remember all the "30% of (something) would not vote for Obama even if he wins" articles?
- rheaume, on 05/25/2008, -1/+1Wow here is a man you can count on, lol
- MiamiRox, on 05/25/2008, -3/+3Not here, here Cubans (which are a majority in the Hispanic population) are hardcore Republicans.
- FrenchAnarchy, on 05/25/2008, -1/+1Have you even looked at the electoral map? Obama is killing McCain right now.
- joeomar, on 05/25/2008, -1/+1She is in the kitchen, she is on fire, but she can't figure out how to get out, and she is burning, God bless her!!!
- emeralddragon, on 05/25/2008, -2/+2Have you actually looked at the exit polling data? Obama has not done well with the latino vote.
- banderwocky, on 05/26/2008, -1/+1But you LOOOOVES some John Sidney McCain III and his Black Centurion card. Mancrush.
- inactive, on 05/25/2008, -0/+0That's *****! The media is playing you like a fiddle. Hispanics have voted for Hillary because Bill Clinton appointed a substantial number of Hispanics to cabinet positions and other high level positions.
What has Obama done for Hispanics? Diddly squat! He's too busy pandering to the Jewish vote and totally ignoring the Hispanic vote. If he really wants the Hispanic vote then let's see him going to Hispanic communities and appointing Hispanics to key positions in his campaign. That's what he has done to try to win the Jewish vote, yet the Hispanic community is much larger than the Jewish community and he chooses to ignore it. The Democrats are fools if they continue to ignore Hispanics and just assume that because they are minorities they will not vote Republican.
Bush and the Republicans get it! He is from Texas and he went after the Hispanic vote big time. It's time for the Democrats to wake up and get it too. Hispanics represent a huge community and are swing voters that will make the difference in key states in 2008. - Nemoso, on 05/25/2008, -6/+6I care about this guy just as much as I do about Lieberman's step-son. I don't. Also, it's great that THP focuses on this guy's relationship with Hilary rather than the fact that Obama's got more superdelegates. You know, ***** that matters.
***** THP. Buried. - stonewaljacksn, on 05/25/2008, -2/+2you said it. obama supporters are *****.
oh yeah, and huffpo sucks. buried.
people will bury me for saying that, but nooobbooddyy is able to defend huffpo, ever. just like blind sheep. - danfive555, on 05/25/2008, -1/+0He does well with young latinos, educated or not. But he does very badly with older latinos, from upper 30s to senior citizens.
These college kids better vote. - inactive, on 05/25/2008, -2/+1DemocRats abandon the Hillary's sinking ship.
