Bush and Iraq? ... or Hillary and Healthcare Horror Story? Does it matter?
Same lack of judgment, same embellishing, same reluctance to take responsbility. - inactive, on 04/08/2008, -5/+101I see why Digg has all these problems!
1. Make users refresh five times.
2. 5x more ads
3. ????
4. Profit - mattluiz, on 08/28/2009, -6/+53These stories are just tedious now. I expect to see one or two of these articles every day.
Can the DNC give the nomination to Obama already? - twertyto, on 04/08/2008, -1/+36You don't need step 3 for that process.
- Bobombom, on 04/08/2008, -5/+39Sorry if I am being too critical but...
Didn't the article seem to tone down what happened a bit? I think the one of the quotes from before used the words "We implore the Clinton Campaign for ...", but this article seems to tone that down.
Not trying to be nitpicky, but doesn't that seem a bit favorable to Clinton? - rmholla, on 04/08/2008, -4/+36Anyone know where I can find the Clinton Dictionary? Oral sex isn't sex nor does it constitute adultery, vividly recalling sniper fire isn't a lie just having "misspoke", and I still don't know the meaning of "is." sheesh.
And would somebody tell her to actually watch Rocky -- because he LOST (to a black man which quite honestly makes her comparison even funnier.) - jemka, on 04/08/2008, -3/+30Depends on what the definition of "uninsured pregnant woman who died after being denied medical care" is.
- uncleboogie, on 04/08/2008, -2/+24No, she got it mixed up. The mother was shot by sniper fire and lost the baby. Hilary was turned away from the hospital for no insurance and lost Sinbad's baby.
- radarbeam, on 04/08/2008, -9/+27Clintons, because lying is our family's long established tradition.
- Persian5Life, on 04/08/2008, -9/+25Obama 2008
- thelostemperor, on 04/08/2008, -5/+20The difference is that Obama supporters post comments to stories that are related to the presidential campaign, unlike the Ron Paul idiots who spammed every possible forum regardless of topic. I mean, for Pete's sake, the story could be about a cute picture of a monkey and inevitably someone would post a Ron Paul blurb in the comments. I haven't seen that from Obama's fans.
- Troy64, on 04/08/2008, -0/+14You only think you are seeing 5x as many ads because Adblock isn't working.

- inyearstocome, on 04/08/2008, -1/+12Aside from Hillary lying...should someone who could not afford a $100 hospital payment be bringing a child into the world? Do they know how much money is required to raise a child?
- peticsu, on 04/08/2008, -3/+13even if your claim was true (which it isnt)....how is a story about Clinton lying morph into Obama supporters in your mind?

Most politicians place one or two hard-to-verify or vague-enough-to-get-away-with lies in their campaigns, but when you've thrown out two bold-faced lies and been called out on them you've proven to me that even if I did support you for other reasons you're not smart enough to get away with bluffing for me to support you.
- twertyto, on 04/08/2008, -3/+11I don't any video works in Final Fantasy 3.
- ell0bo, on 04/08/2008, -0/+8Don't bust on the oral sex line, I'm banking on cashing in on that when I'm married.
- lordno, on 04/08/2008, -2/+10Agreed. It is one thing to slander other politicians but to start untruthfully attacking individual hospitals is uncalled for. Just because she did not mention the hospital by name, she had to know that someone would research the story and find the hospital and the woman, How sad for her family to have to hear a distorted politician blatantly lie about their daughters death for her own political agenda.
- twiztidsinz, on 04/08/2008, -2/+10Damn.... I dug you after reading the first sentence... I should have waited till you derailed the train with the second sentence.

- KingPsyz, on 04/08/2008, -2/+8real classy there Joey... the fact remains she did Lie. The woman died from complications of birth which every woman faces. Rich, poor, insured, or uninsured.
Clinton claimed she died because she didn't have insurance and couldn't pay the $100 fee upfront.
Fact remains it was a lie, even with her deciding to not pay her bill to another hospital until she was forced to, if she would have walked in with complications from her pregnancy they're required by law to treat her with nothing out of pocket and worry about billing after the fact,
The person was not denied care, she just didn't go fearing denial of care.
Regardless, as having recently watched my son being born a week early due to preclampsia I can tell you it happens fast and scary but there's also lots of warning signs and had she been more cautious they could have seen her earlier and possibly saved both her and her baby.
Pregnancy is nothing to take for granted, and if you know someone who isn't feeling right and they're close to their due date you rush them to the hospital immediately or call an ambulance or you'll end up like the subject of Clinton's spin. - cranium, on 04/08/2008, -4/+10Yeah, well, if you only count the times when she didn't lie, she's totally honest, so she should get all of the superdelegates.
- unearth, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6Locke stole it.
- kinerry, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6It's 3am, and I'm believing whatever the ***** you tell me.
- inactive, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6Or maybe diggers enjoy stories about Clinton crashing and burning and Obama succeeding.
- bjornski, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6The old "fags" insult.
That's even more tiring that repeats on the front page.
Try to come up with a new insult that doesn't make you look homophobic or racist. Maybe people will take you a BIT more seriously.
/your name alone smacks of either racism or homosexuality. I don't care to find out which. - esfisher, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6Yeah, but when politicians lie, the lies result in overinflated bureaucracies that drain tax dollars and often limit personal choice and freedom.
- KingPsyz, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6good thing the fork does 9999 damage

- Kazbaeden, on 04/08/2008, -2/+6Um, did you read that link, or just the headline.
From your source: " the patient, Trina Bechtel, was admitted there and did have insurance. That part, it turns out"
Clinton's story is that the woman died because she went to a hospital with insurance and died. That is not the case. According to your source the woman apparantly racked up some debt at a hospital and they didn't want to treat her until she paid them back. It's also worth noting they told her this well before she ever became sick, and when she did get sick she didn't go to that hospital, she did have insurance, and she did get treated at two separate hospitals.
So please, I know you're tired of hearing about how bad your candidate is losing, and I suppose the author of this piece is as well, to spin a title like that, but before you go calling people "***** Freaks" make sure you're not going to make an ass of youself first. - jiller, on 04/08/2008, -3/+7Bitch, please.
