- kelalo, on 03/31/2008, -2/+63Sounds like Hillary is doing a great job managing her campaign. She should definitely be president with all her organizational and management skills.
- DrewJJones, on 03/31/2008, -2/+39She's Ready to Lead on Day One.
Or something. - jedmed, on 03/31/2008, -5/+40Hillary's antics are blatantly ludicrous. What worries me more is the women who continue to support her.

- diggeradoo, on 03/31/2008, -3/+26"The unpaid bills to Aetna were at least two months old, according to FEC filings. They show the campaign ended last year owing Aetna more than $213,000 for “employee benefits.” During the first two months of the year, the campaign did not pay down any of that debt. In fact, it accrued another $16,000 in unpaid bills last month, and it finished the month owing Aetna $229,000"
D'oh. - insomniac8400, on 03/31/2008, -1/+20Even if their ***** excuses are true, you can't rent a hall somewhere and pay the bill months later. The working class can't afford to wait months to be paid. So she is either out of money, or she loves to take a ***** on the working class. It's lose lose for her.
- inactive, on 03/31/2008, -2/+21I think we would all be shocked at how many people vote based off of appearance, gender, party affiliation and race without thinking twice about who they really are.
- semigloss, on 03/31/2008, -5/+23Wow. That's as hypocritical as hyocrisy gets.
- Dred, on 03/31/2008, -6/+23dang, no wonder she wants us(taxpayers) to pay for health care
- Zandarrr, on 03/31/2008, -2/+17My mom and sisters really want Hilary to win because she's a woman. They all very smart people but they got blinded by their feminism.
(not bashing feminism) - noahhoward, on 03/31/2008, -0/+13If I were a woman I wouldn't want the first woman president to be an utter disgrace that would ensure no other woman ever held office ever again.
- snotrokit, on 03/31/2008, -2/+14Math must be really hard for Hillary.
- CicurateGroup, on 03/31/2008, -1/+12She made damn sure to repay herself the supposed loan of $5,000,000.00! ***** everybody else!
- senator32, on 03/31/2008, -7/+18Just another lie...somehow...I am not surprised. Keep up with Clinton's legislation here and keep her honest (lol...as if): http://www.statesurge.com/members/908 .
- KraftDinner101, on 03/31/2008, -2/+13I know at least one woman who is rooting for her (In Canada). Happens to be my girlfriend's sister and I know the only reason is because she is a huge feminist. She's basically drooling at the idea of a woman becoming president, not because of any of the issues that they tackle. Kind of sad, because I thought she was smart too.
- monkiboi, on 03/31/2008, -2/+13I think the writing is on the wall for her.
If she can't manage her own budget, how can we trust her with our tax dollars? - OpenIntro, on 03/31/2008, -0/+10don't you ALREADY pay for healthcare?
- rawg, on 03/31/2008, -2/+10This is really embarassing for Hillary's campaign and is another area where she falls short of Obama.
- shoguner, on 03/31/2008, -2/+9Feminism is based on ego , not on equality.
- jlee2081, on 03/31/2008, -2/+9This explains all of those delusional press releases from her campaign team.
- senator32, on 03/31/2008, -0/+7lol...nice
- technoredneck, on 03/31/2008, -0/+6Thing is, while a lot of people can't afford it, the Clintons of all people most definitely can.

I wonder who will be more fiscally responsible. - RomanThommassen, on 03/31/2008, -0/+5Clinton, why do you want to be president anyway?? To ruin the country? For the money? because bill told you so?
anyways, you fail, in epic proportion - JStraum, on 03/31/2008, -0/+5Well, 47 million Americans, obviously including Hillary, just can't find that sort of cash in their budget...
- mcquitty, on 03/31/2008, -0/+5Hillary's a woman? Damn, I would have never guessed.

- Logicwax, on 03/31/2008, -0/+4well done
- Acewrap, on 03/31/2008, -0/+4It's not "systematic" unless you define "systematic" as "being buried for being a jerkoff."
- snotrokit, on 03/31/2008, -3/+7Wow. I am truly speechless. I think this is a telling sign of how she and her people run things. scary..
- incredibilistic, on 03/31/2008, -1/+5I read the article and it appears that the unpaid bills were related to her campaign staff and not her personally. However, that doesn't excuse the fact that she doesn't seem to be able to take care of her campaign or, at the very least, has the wrong people under her running her finances. However, with so much debt it would be crazy to think that she didn't know about these numbers.
The fact that she's two months behind is just crazy. A comment from the article: a doctor with a practice says that if they don't pay their employee's insurance costs the policies are canceled after 30 days. This would also suggest that Hillary is getting special favors from the insurance companies. Not that it should really surprise anyone but this hurts because this was a platform she's been standing tall on for a long time. Normally this probably wouldn't be a big deal. If this was bills to Nordstrom or The Gap no one would probably care but because it's insurance it's a much bigger deal.
Not to mention her level of debt at nearly $9 million compared to Obama (less than $700k) and McCain (less than $5 million with most of that being a bank loan) shows she's not paying enough attention to her finances. She doesn't need to run OUR finances. - Photokon, on 03/31/2008, -0/+4Sounds like someone should be garnishing her wages. That's what she wants to do for everyone else. After all, we don't want to look like Bush, so let's see it Hillary, garnish your own wages.
- incredibilistic, on 03/31/2008, -5/+8Hilarious!!! Digged you up but that you were at -1 so now you're at 0. Still funny.
- enri, on 03/31/2008, -1/+4The summary page is a more fair comparison.
Hillary: http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2008/M2/C00431569.ht ...
Obama: http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2008/M2/C00431445.ht ...
McCain: http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2008/M2/C00430470.ht ... - kreneskyp, on 03/31/2008, -1/+4anyone who starts using plausible deniability to excuse bad management of a campaign is off their rocker. hillary would only have to say a few words to a staffer and all bills would be paid on time. Either she is ignorant of what is going or she is willfully ignoring it, in either case it shows she is a bad manager and we could expect the same disastrous results with her in the whitehouse
- Nougat, on 03/31/2008, -0/+3Just because the accrued $16,000 in unpaid bills doesn't mean they didn't make some payments on their past due and current bills.
These figures only state what is unpaid, not the total of what was billed. I would hazard a guess that some portion of the total billed amount has been paid, leaving the $229,000 owed. - div2n, on 03/31/2008, -1/+4If you can't see how the managerial skills of proper budgeting when it comes to a campaign are relevant to running for President, you don't really understand the issues.
- aelias, on 03/31/2008, -0/+3Yeah, but if you or I tried to tell our creditors that "we'll pay it at some point" they'd bend us over and ram our bad credit rating straight up our asses. This is not setting a good example, unless you're trying to get votes from the demographic that buys 2000$ rims when they're three months behind on their child support.
You wouldn't rent your house to someone with bad credit, why would you give someone like that the most powerful position on the planet? - JSYankees85, on 03/31/2008, -4/+7This is why we NEED Obama! Enough with the lies, Hillary!
- Spoomeister, on 03/31/2008, -2/+4She's not paying out of protest, b/c apparently "***** insane" isn't covered by her plan.
- noahhoward, on 03/31/2008, -4/+6Wrong, she is ultimately responsible for her campaign. If a helmsman drives a boat aground the Captain is accountable for not having a capable enough helmsman at the wheel.
- neognostic, on 03/31/2008, -1/+3Look at the link above from the FEC on her total bills not paid, it's deplorable. If she can't manage a campaign, then how in the hell can she manage the presidency. She picked her people, no one else to blame it on.
- meese, on 04/01/2008, -0/+2Just to make it clear why this is particuarly hypocritical: Hillary Clinton has been attacking Obama saying that her plan is better because it ensures universality by forcing people to pay for health insurance. Obama's argument is that people will pay for what they can afford, so if we make it affordable, people will buy it.
Clinton just made Obama's argument for him by not paying health insurance because her campaign couldn't afford it. - joshhan, on 03/31/2008, -1/+3It seems as if your defense of unpaid health insurance premiums is a bit far stretched.
- xaxxon, on 04/01/2008, -0/+1I did. And then I buried you.
- mithrasinvictus, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1Maybe she was counting on the debt getting erased as a courtesy gesture once she became president.
- ScienceDoc, on 04/01/2008, -0/+1What if they need health care at 3 am? Who will help them?
