- j0hneb0y81, on 05/29/2008, -8/+466wait.. she lied?
no, no no, i can't accept that.. she would never lie to us - BabushkaBlue, on 05/29/2008, -5/+138She spins like a top and thinks the rest of the world is twirling along with her. She only "won" the popular vote (even though by anybody's math she hasn't even done that) because she doesn't count the four states that are caucus states, my state of Washington included. Roughly 75% of the democratic vote went to Obama in my state and yet she doesn't even look at our results.
She has crossed over from "politician" to "crazy lady who won't go away." - Semirhage527, on 05/29/2008, -5/+136She's a politician, you always have to carefully dissect the wording. She said they were on track to raise 10 mil -- being "on track" isn't the same as actually doing it. They probably looked at how much they raised in the first few hours and extrapolated how much they would raise if that pace continued -- which of course it did not.
The Clinton's drive me insane, but if there is one thing they do well, it is spin. They made Ohio look like a 10 point victory when she only won by 8 in the end. She made PA look like a 10 point victory, when she only won by 9. She used exaggerated fundraising claims to convince people she was having a comeback. Just like now, she's trying to convince us all that she's somehow ahead in the popular vote -- even though that is only true when you award Obama 0 votes for Michigan. And this morning, I heard one of her advisors on MSNBC making the argument that we should let polls decide the nominee!!! - diggeradoo, on 05/29/2008, -5/+88Not surprising at all.
- mabs0, on 05/29/2008, -5/+82Seriously, Hillary, sweetie, who the hell lies about stuff like this in today's world? Have you learned nothing from the Bosnia flap? They have the internet on computers now. People can check on these things. You're stupid.
- jlee2081, on 05/29/2008, -2/+64HRC's math skills are horrendous
- fr0ng, on 05/29/2008, -3/+57So does that mean she's more than $31 million in debt? lolz
- blueandgreen24, on 05/29/2008, -2/+50Lies in the campaign = lies as president
- Spanq, on 05/29/2008, -3/+47That's because she's still suffering from Full of ***** Syndrome.
- RoroCo, on 05/29/2008, -0/+42She only mis-spoke again... no reason to over react....
{do I need a sarcasm tag here?} - jkleinfeld, on 05/29/2008, -2/+35We all know Hillary doesn't obey the laws of mathematics
Or she works in base 7 - BluesFan, on 05/29/2008, -2/+27I'll be surprised when someone catches her telling the truth.
- Homerr, on 05/29/2008, -1/+24No, her lying skills are tremendous.
- ZincSaucier, on 05/29/2008, -1/+21With the amount of lying Hildog does, you'd think she'd be a little better at it by now.
I've known a few pathological liars in my life, and the way you can always tell them from normal liars is that they lie about things even if they can be easily proven false soon after, and they never ever admit they lied even when it is proven. - thomasnikl, on 05/29/2008, -2/+22SHOCKINGGGG!!!
- chrissku, on 05/29/2008, -1/+21How much of that was her own money? That's another tiny little fact she always conveniently leaves out.
- djcb, on 05/29/2008, -5/+25More reason not to trust her or her campaign.
- kemp34, on 05/29/2008, -3/+22But I though Hillary Clinton was honest?
- inactive, on 05/29/2008, -10/+27Just like a woman not to know how much money is in her budget.
- br0ck, on 05/29/2008, -1/+18Actually the 10 million was stated with no hedging a number of times that day by her finance team and her site, "Since our victory last night — at 10 o'clock at night — to where we are today, as of exactly 2:35, we have raised $10 million online from grass-roots supporters going to HillaryClinton.com, making $10, $20, $50 contributions,” he told more than 3,000 donors who dialed into a conference call with him, McAuliffe and Clinton herself." http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0408/9889.htm ...
- fireashes, on 05/29/2008, -6/+22She cannot lie. How can she lie? Remember, Bosnia is true because she said so.
She is leading in every poll - true.
She is a politician. Can a politician lie?
Remember our great President Bush. Did he lie?? No. - fancycwabs, on 05/29/2008, -5/+21Sadly, the think Clinton discovered after the Bosnia flap is that she can say whatever she pleases and the mainstream media will cover her statement as fact without verifying the truth of the information. Since Clinton's voter base isn't necessarily connected to independent sources of accurate information, they'll believe anything she tells them. Under fire in Bosnia? Sure. Ahead in the popular vote? Absolutely. Obama's a Muslim? Hillary didn't say otherwise--it might just be true!
- Xihix, on 05/29/2008, -12/+28Alright, Paul still has the record.
- DeadFox1, on 05/29/2008, -2/+18dugg for calling her "sweetie"
- Hockey13, on 05/29/2008, -1/+15As a fan of Ron Paul and, now that it seems he's got very little chance to break the neo-con wall surrounding the GOP, a well-wisher of Obama's campaign, I hasten to point out that Hillary's fundraising efforts are pretty weak considering the endless promotion she gets from every mode of communication. She's all over TV, the classic(ally boring! Am I right??!?) internet sites like CNN.com, the radio, and I'm pretty sure she has her own wi-fi band. In fact, I wouldn't really be surprised if her campaign has, against all odds, invented a new medium just so they can get her name and face on more things.
I'm not saying Obama isn't everywhere, but at least when people hear him, they seem to reach for their pocketbooks, not their ear plugs. - cyclades, on 05/29/2008, -6/+20Epic fail.
- uptown, on 05/29/2008, -3/+17Who actually likes this woman?
- DeadFox1, on 05/29/2008, -0/+13she did that a long time ago.. imo.
- exomni, on 05/29/2008, -2/+15Even if you added 24 hours on April 29th, doubling the time to 48 hours, she STILL doesn't make it to 10mill. Pathetic.
What an extraordinarily mismanaged campaign. She can't even count her own money, now she wants to run the country? Well as I doubt she's willing to pour her own money into our debt crisis, I'd rather have someone who knows the slightest thing about managing money to run our nation. - drewedman, on 05/29/2008, -0/+12dugg for sexism
- aliengoods, on 05/29/2008, -2/+14The only thing more anoying than poor grammer and spelling is the spelling nazis that continually point it out. BTW, I've thrown in a few mistakes so you can feel superior.
- chanop, on 05/29/2008, -0/+12People keep saying these things are too big for the MSM to overlook, yet the MSM keeps overlooking them
- MortalynFlux, on 05/29/2008, -0/+12Can you imagine her trying to balance the budget with those math skills? She can't even balance the checkbooks for her campaign.
- cerejota, on 05/29/2008, -7/+18THIS IS PART OF THE VAST LEFT-WING CONSPIRACY!!!
/ sarcasm - midejitsu, on 05/29/2008, -0/+11The question remains, though: When will she start throwing cats?
- bgrah449, on 05/29/2008, -3/+14I think, at this point, she's just trying to raise the hype, to get some cashflow, so she can pay back all those loans she made to her own campaign.
- Balath, on 05/29/2008, -0/+11Blatant sexism ftw!
- HonestAbe, on 05/29/2008, -1/+12She also won the popular vote, and won Pennsylvania by two percentage points, and won Texas, and got shot at in Bosnia.
Uh huh. - Anth, on 05/29/2008, -0/+10Donations smaller than $200 are bundled together and posted on the last day of the month, no matter when throughout the month they were receieved.
This is actually their plausible deniability. They could have had a lot of those smaller donations come in during that 24 hrs after Penn, but it would have shown up on the FEC reports as coming in on the last day of the month. - theaceoffire, on 05/29/2008, -0/+10They should force her "loans" to be permanent.
AKA, donations shouldn't be allowed to be pocketed by her to make up for it... that would have made her reconsider something I think. - Naieve, on 05/29/2008, -4/+13Cue some idiot calling us Obamabots for daring to call her on another outright lie.
- fani, on 05/29/2008, -1/+10Heck, in Hillary lingo - I'm on track to becoming a billionaire.
- briankoenig03, on 05/29/2008, -1/+10Did a teeny bit of digging, and surprise surprise, this isn't the first time her campaign has lied about fundraising.
Their "$3 million a day since her victory" from this article is ***** too, unless a *huge* percentage of it wasn't reported until the last day of the month: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/06/democrats.c ...
FEC report : http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2008/M4/C00431569/A_ ... - ijake, on 05/29/2008, -0/+9She raised that other 5.7 million out of her purse.
- kreneskyp, on 05/29/2008, -0/+8i dont see how anyone could donate money knowing that they are just paying off her loans.
- DephexTwin, on 05/29/2008, -0/+8Wow. I would much rather be sloppy with my grammar than so cognitively impaired that I can't figure out that someone made a typo without help.
- mochaman, on 05/29/2008, -0/+8This would be standard procedure in the 90s, but we are now living in the 21st century. Apparently she stuck in a time warp and no one has the balls to clue her in.
- OrangeCrush, on 05/29/2008, -0/+8Because the difference between a misstatement and a lie is the intention to deceive. Auschwitz/Buchenwald was a slip up, but it doesn't show he's outright making ***** up. Like 10 million dollas in 24 hours. Or sniper fire.
I'll forgive a candidate, McCain, Hillary or Obama, for some verbal slip ups here and there. Each and every word I speak is not recorded, uploaded to youtube, and scrutinized by legions of people from the media, blogosphere and general public. If they were, I'd certainly make my share of misstatements too. Of course, knowing every word I speak is going to be combed through, would also keep me from blatantly making ***** up that isn't true. - Cuchanu, on 05/29/2008, -0/+7Campaign Fundraising:
YOU'RE DOIN' IT WRONG!!! - Jwoey, on 05/29/2008, -1/+8that's what people said when she was like 5m in debt, now she's way deeper in debt. I think the fact that her debt is increasing means that she's not raising money to pay off debts.
