The notes said that Berger had "destroyed, cut into small pieces, three of the four documents. These were put in the trash." - Dweller99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Or it could be old news. Over a year old to be exact.
Yeah, I know.. its so much more fun to blame some huge liberal media conspiracy to oppress the truth. Try doing a search from that time frame and you will find 7000 articles about this from WHEN IT HAPPENED (you know, when it was NEWS): http://nl.newsbank.com/nl-search/we/Archives
Since I can only assume you did not read the article, this is a published reports of findings about the incident. - Dweller99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Oh for Petes sake, are you guys bored or something?
He plead guilty a YEAR AGO.
FTA:"The report was issued more than a year after Sandy Berger pleaded guilty and received a criminal sentence for removing the documents."
This just in, Clinton got a blowjob from an intern! Fire up the presses!
And since we have (surprise!) claims that CNN is ignoring this: http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/12/21/berger.documents.ap/index.html - datastorageguy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Truly amazing. Fox news has this on their front page (6:30am EST) and CNN has no refrence to it at all. This is a HUGE story and should be front page news in almost every newspaper and lead story on every news network. The reason? The former National Security Adviser for the Clinton administration knowingly disposed of classified documents specifically relating to 9/11. It is a sordid attempt at a cover up.
You are right. If this were a republican destroying classified documents, CNN would go with this story for weeks. - Groovemaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The Democratic and Republican party are both corrupted by greed.
When the lure of ever increasing wealth is removed from the political system, we'll see something approaching honest patriotic leadership.
Until then, we'll have to get by with corrupt criminal politicians who couldn't possibly give less of a ***** about the average American. - trghpy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Berger pleaded guilty to unlawfully removing and retaining classified documents. He was fined $50,000, ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and was barred from access to classified material for three years."
...
Gee... I don't know how he will ever recover after type of punishment. - NoStoppingUs, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5if sandy burglar had been working under the bush administration and did this, that damned conservative media would have had a ***** field day with it.
mmmmmm i heart liberal hypocrisy. - joshreport, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0http://blog.myspace.com/s4joshg35
- robman8023, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I agree with ALL of the above. You can bet your ass that if the title read "Bush's national security advisor GUILTY of hiding docs." this ***** story would be Digged all the way to the Guiness Book of World Records and be covered on every major news network for the next month.
Total liberal hypocrisy at its full and unedited glory. - mkoby, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2I'm sure the folks on digg will spin this as a conservative conspiracy to tarnish the "good" name that is Clinton. If they don't, it will still be a fun read to see what the digg community has to say.
What is Digg?
