Sometimes I feel like her campaign just says that after everything he says just out of reflex. She probably didn't bother to listen to it.
- bluevillage, on 03/28/2008, -0/+6Yeah, it's campaign spin to dismiss it, just as McCain's one-line response was. But also: as is usually the case, Obama's big-picture vision is so far beyond Clinton's capacity that she can do nothing but try to bring him down to her level with a "where's the beef" charge. (Even though he outlined a 5-point plan or whatever.) Hopefully, though these speeches don't get any media play, those who take the trouble to watch it will see and hear what he's saying.
- HipsterSarah, on 03/28/2008, -0/+6Hillary...you are running out of states, out of strategies, out of money, etc...
Obama 2008 - jbdobd, on 03/28/2008, -0/+6Clinton lies about... [insert your own phrase here, and its probably already true]
- ncairns, on 03/28/2008, -1/+3Of interest for those of us in reality, Ron Paul actually has more PAC contributions than Obama. Paul also took in sizable contributions from many defense contractors - $22,912 from Lockheed Martin, $22,834 from Boeing, $18,107 from Northrop Grumman, $17,610 from General Dynamics, and $15,029 from Raytheon. Not to mention $19,130 from AT&T and $18,821 from Verizon. Wonder why telecoms would like him. Also, $16,329 from Wachovia - you were talking about investment banks?
In fact, omitting Paul's military contributions and Obama's contributions from the University of California, Harvard, and the University of Chicago, large contributions account for ~1% of Paul's total donations versus ~2.3% for Obama - a statistically insignificant number for both of them.
Nice try though. - NameTry2468, on 03/28/2008, -1/+3Yeah, look what pre-9/11 thinking got us...9/11!
Also, it wasn't pre-9/11 thinking that made us safe and prosperous. It was pre-Bush thinking. - bluevillage, on 03/28/2008, -1/+3You haven't been listening to Obama's speeches or the debates. Every time the immigration issue is raised, he says the first thing that has to be done is to secure the border. And in every one of his stump speeches he affirms his commitment to the Constitution, to restoring habeas corpus, etc, reminding people that he "taught the Constitution [for 10 years at U of Chicago], respects the Constitution and will obey the Constitution." This consistently gets the largest applause in his speeches and is one of the reasons many people support him.
- MindyB, on 04/08/2008, -0/+2So her campaign says that what Obama has said about the economy are "just words" and what she has said are what? LIES?. The Clinton campaign really believes that the American people are stupid and will believe and go by anything her campaign says or claims! What arrogance!
Well, the good thing is that there are enough intelligent Americans out there to make sure the best candidate gets the votes and wins the election. There are enough smart Americans who know that the only intelligent choice for the White House is Barack Obama. - Megeee, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2Hillary is definily using her Rovian tactics every day. I'm begonning to think she isn't as smart as she has always told us she is. My opinion of the Clintons has lowered over the past four months. To quote Al Gore's speech at the 1992 Democratic convention in reference to Bush and his people "It's time for them to go."
- angellight, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2Nothing new been lying for years and getting away with it. I do not know why for the life of me, Andrea Mitchell dug up old tapes or writings on Rev. Wright 10 days after the fact, when she did not do the First Reporting on Hillary's Bosnia Fabrication, although she was on the trip with her, and only reported on this after it became public knowledge that there was no sniper fire and after Hillary had told this tall tale, 3 times. So why is Andrea so compelled to keep bringing up Rev. Wright, when we are electing a President, not a Reverened! Is she a Hillary surrogate instead of an unbiased reporter? Makes you wonder. Hillary states she would not meet with her enimies, yet she met with Richard Mellon Scaife, her arch enemy who accused her and Bill of murders and conducted a witch hunt against her during their White House Years. Did Andrea report on that? And, then there is speculation that Hillary might have exagerrated her story about Chelsea's jog near the Twin Towers on 9-11. Has anyone took a look at the video done by Date Line to see what Hillary really said, not the transcript put out by Media Matters but the actual video? Where is the reporting on that? Then there is exaggeration about Nafta, Ireland and there are more to come, the unraveling of Hillary. In her desire to make Barack look unelectable, it looks like, instead, the Chickens are Coming Home to Roost!
- hinchb, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1You forgot Ron Paul 2008 at the bottom of your post.
- hinchb, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1Right because anything we did pre 9/11 was bad, and therefore all ideas from before this date in time are null (because they all culminated in 9/11 happening you see). I don't see how you can think something as stupid as this.
"PROGRESSIVE post 9/11 person who just wants to change the world."
Looks like we have a bush fanatic, move along nothing to see here. - marabout40, on 04/03/2008, -1/+0HRC will do anything - to the point of selling her soul to the highest bidder - to win the candidacy.
- wintermd, on 03/28/2008, -8/+1This contest is all about one thing... are you pre-9/11 and want to do nothing, or are you a PROGRESSIVE post 9/11 person who just wants to change the world.
Hint: pre-9/11 thinking worked so well, we want to go back to it? - kemp34, on 03/28/2008, -10/+2Clinton, Obama and McCain all have the same top donors. Major investment banks and hedge funds. Face it, these three folks are basically three heads of the same snake. They may have slight policy differences, but they will maintain the same globalist, anti-American agenda. Do any of them talk about the Federal Reserve System? Do any of them talk about securing the border? Do any of them want to bring home the troops from every corner of the globe? Do any of them speak highly of the Constitution? They are all smack dab in the establishment. Sorry Obama fans, it is the truth.
