- mvanhorn, on 02/13/2008, -2/+202Anyone else think this meant the campaign manger who quit a few days ago? Sadly not true, but good news anyway
- Kautylia, on 02/13/2008, -2/+83Yeah, the title was purposely misleading.
- ConfusedONE, on 02/13/2008, -2/+36I'm all for Obama, but don't count Hilary out yet. Ohio and Texas are coming up and she has some tears in her. She might cry her way to victory.
I remain cautiously optimistic until those competitions are over. - N3tw0rk, on 02/13/2008, -0/+29David Wilhelm is a native of Ohio, an increasingly important primary state for Hillary. Wilhelm made clear that his main job would be to convince superdelegates – many of whom he knows personally — to back Obama.
“If superdelegates overrule the choice of Democratic Party voters, that would be a very difficult and divisive scenario for the party,” Wilhelm warned darkly. “It is one we should work hard to avoid.” - dcmusicfusion, on 02/13/2008, -6/+32Very telling that those closest to Hillary are distancing themselves from her. Currently, her campaign is coming apart at the seems.
- jwolcott, on 02/13/2008, -0/+20I feel so used.
- mikesuds, on 02/13/2008, -7/+26Go Barack.
- SwedishNinja, on 02/13/2008, -7/+22RIP Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign
2007-2008
It will(?) be missed. - bullcutter, on 02/13/2008, -6/+19Superdelegate, Chairman of the DNC _and_ ex-Hillary manager? OUCH!!
Still, I'm expecting Hillary to unleash some diabolical ballbuster of a lawsuit against Obama or the DNC or initiate some type of legal action that will delay the nomination or otherwise make the process more in her favor. It ain't over yet. - Gemfinder, on 02/13/2008, -0/+13It would seem so ;)
- actorboy, on 02/13/2008, -2/+14Her campaign is nowhere near dead. Keep voting to make sure it passes peacefully from this world to the next.
- arunforce, on 02/13/2008, -2/+13Clean Sweep Obama owns this election.
- ProfessorSYM, on 02/13/2008, -0/+11It is good to hear that some of those with the superdelegate status understand the importance of using the votes of the people to determine who gets the nomination. If they don't, there will definitely be chaos at the convention and in the Democratic Party in general.
- keviniskool, on 02/13/2008, -1/+11*seams
- iofthestorm, on 02/13/2008, -1/+10Well yes, but it should included Bill to clarify which Clinton.
- bitspace, on 02/14/2008, -0/+7You do realize that the person the article speaks of was not part of Hillary's campaign, right?
- illspaz, on 02/13/2008, -0/+7shoulda been: Ex-Clinton Campaign Manager Backs Obama
- illspaz, on 02/13/2008, -1/+8ex-Bill manager
- keviniskool, on 02/13/2008, -2/+8*losing
- soccerman90, on 02/13/2008, -1/+7screw you digg. When i read the title i thought it was referring to the campaign manager of Hillary that recently quit/fired. Still good new for O8ama
- offspring06, on 02/13/2008, -2/+7If the Democrats want a chance to be in the Whitehouse in 2009 than Obama has to be their nominee. Too many people dislike Hillary Clinton including some Democrats.
- GoneGreen, on 02/13/2008, -0/+5Who? Oh the guy with like 10 delegates... your dream has died, time to wake up.
- subliminalurge, on 02/13/2008, -0/+5Which is very, very good news.
- Jay123, on 02/13/2008, -2/+7Hillary was Bill's second choice... She should be our second choice too.
- mozert, on 02/13/2008, -0/+5PaulBot
- theaceoffire, on 02/14/2008, -1/+6Because I believe he will fight for what is good and just in this country, and start fixing the corrupt sections of the government.
- davidrools, on 02/13/2008, -1/+6Better news, I think, since this guy carries a LOT more weight and influence.
- ganlet, on 02/13/2008, -1/+6Ya but Obama has the money and time to invest in Texas and Ohio. I think the one thing he has proven is when he spends time on the ground talking to people he tends to win the state. People tend to respond to how real he is.
- diggB, on 02/13/2008, -1/+5Agreed. Being a front runner doesn't necessarily guarantee a win. So, don't get over confident people. If you live in any of the remaining states left in the Primary (esp. Texas and Ohio), get out there and vote!
- coryking, on 02/13/2008, -0/+4Maybe not purposefully, but the ex-campaign manager is from her 1992 run. The headline makes it sound like it is her current season's ex-staff.
We dont need to promote obama with mis-information like some other campaign supporters who haunted this joint did. Buried as inaccurate. - poopdigger, on 02/13/2008, -4/+8suck it hillary, suck it
- offspring06, on 02/13/2008, -0/+4The superdelegates should vote for whoever gets the most pledged delegates from the Primaries and caucuses. If they don't than the Democrats will have a divided base.
- offspring06, on 02/13/2008, -0/+4Thats what Bill said.
- 471776, on 02/14/2008, -0/+3You can tell it's "Yahtzee day" from subtle changes to the writing style of diggers.
- Eldorian, on 02/14/2008, -0/+3Somehow that doesn't really surprise me since him and the Clinton's had a falling out shortly after 92.
- mozert, on 02/13/2008, -1/+4Backs Obama!
- inactive, on 02/13/2008, -2/+5Who are these "Clinton" and "Obama" you keep talking about ?
- illspaz, on 02/13/2008, -0/+3*won't
- Marshalrusty, on 02/14/2008, -1/+4Hey cashman. Nice burying you today.
- Mast3rDigg3r, on 02/14/2008, -0/+3wtf does this have to do with the topic?
- bullcutter, on 02/14/2008, -0/+3my bad, i meant "ex-Clinton manager"
- diggB, on 02/14/2008, -0/+3Also very true ...
- diggB, on 02/13/2008, -1/+4Very true. However, one of his greatest strengths comes from his grass roots support. i.e. People like YOU and ME. I'm just afraid that his supporters may become over confident and blow the race is all and if that happens, I'll shove a sharp pointy stick into my eye. Ouch.
- WhatsUpWithJack, on 02/14/2008, -0/+3Buried for the purposely misleading title.
- inactive, on 02/14/2008, -0/+2The party won't cease to exist. Did the party cease to exist after the 1968 DNC riot? No. And there's footage of Dan Rather getting punched in the stomach at that. The party will do what the party wants to do and even if everyone on Digg posts stories like, "OMGZ, iz DUNT LYKEZ teh DNC!!!"
- iofthestorm, on 02/13/2008, -0/+2Vote early and vote often!
- runCMD, on 02/14/2008, -0/+2You wasted your vote ? Why that's a terrible thing. I knew GA would slide toward Obama. I voted for Hillary in my little corner of the map. When it all came down - she carried my county. But urban areas came out strong for Obama.
If you don't get out and vote - YOU lose. - pintomp3, on 02/14/2008, -0/+2your tissue can talk?
- schwab002, on 02/14/2008, -1/+3Thank-you, digg needs more people like you to teach the rest of the users how to spell.
- TheWorm, on 02/14/2008, -0/+2It's not good to see Obama supporters get cocky about their recent momentum. In the same way that Obama came back to get the edge over Clinton, it's not unlikely at all that the tides could turn again. It's not even close to being a clear victory for Obama at the moment, but if he continues on the same pace that he is now, it may well be in a couple months. Keep campaigning.
